Did you know how to freeze the light and create a painting on the shot with it? Fasten your seatbelts, Glostars will share tricks for light painting photography 😍
- Long shutter speed, set up the speed between 10-30 seconds.
- Small aperture, f/11 or higher.
- Use a tripod and pre-focus your camera by using manual focus mode.
Now all you have to do is to move around with a source of light. Paint the objects you want to see on the shot and experiment!

Want to know some good tips for portrait photography with natural light? Here they are 😉 ☀ The open diaphragm is your best friend when shooting portraits. It makes the background blurry and highlighting the model on the shot. ☀ Focus on the model’s eyes, they are the reflection of the true emotions and will create the whole mood of the shot. Change auto-focus to manual mode but watch on it carefully, focus is highly important with an open diaphragm. ☀ The model should be faced to the source of the light on the shot. It creates contrast and highlighting the model even more. The amazing shot of a girl was made by Ganjar Mistika. Join Glostars - a free and safe photo community!

“I captured this portrait with my trusted model in the old wooden house at Lappeenranta on October 2020. House is located in the middle of big trees and I have used the same house several times for portraits due of beautiful light that comes in through 100 years old windows.”
