Week 1 - Settling into Mid-Nowhere

Sunday - Last night was something out of a nightmare. I barely escaped with my life. Escaping a lifetime in the pack is not something that happens easily but I can feel it in my bones…I’m free. Moonwood is behind me.

I couldn’t be sure what World I had washed up in but the sun beating down on me left me ravenous. I guess some things don’t change. I could practically hear my father’s voice “if you can fish you’ll never starve” I’m thankful he taught me how, but I’d like to find what other delicacies this world has to offer.

Monday - This morning I woke to find a cloaked figure prowling around my camp. When I confronted him he merely grunted, pointed to the remains of fish near the fire and when I offered him the scraps he took them and raced into the woods. I swear I saw a tail peeking out of his trench coat. A spy from the Mill perhaps.

I didn’t have much time to consider significance of this before a group of males showed up. They told me they were the welcoming committee. Turns out I’m on a small island on the shore of Windenburg. A World I never would have imagined myself fitting into before yet there I was chatting like one of them.

Imagine me a bro!

Tuesday - This morning I sold some fish to a nice looking gentleman…of course everyone seems nice now that my senses are dulled. It’s harder to read people when you can’t smell their fear or hear the beat of their heart. Regardless he wanted fish and I needed tools. Rory used to make fun of me for whittling with my nails. Said we were made to destroy things not create.

That isn’t me any more. I’m going to build myself a home with my own two hands. I’ll create beauty out of wood and things others throw away. I’ll fill my home with food I grow myself. Look out Windenburg theirs a new wo…er…man in town.

Wednesday - I headed into town today to sell some wood statues I’d made and to participate in a community event the cafe was hosting. I wasn’t really sure what speed dating was but thought it might be a good way to meet new people. Turns out it’s a sort of mating ritual. Finding a mate is far more complicated here than in Moonwood. But the coffee reminded me of home and I met some nice females.

Later in the evening Jacquin invited me to a place called the Bluff for a party. Funny thing is no one showed up. I’ve been part of enough imitations to know when I’ve been set up Jacquin insisted that wasn’t the case but I don’t believe him. It’s a shame cause I thought we had good compatibility but I don’t trust Jacquin.

Thursday - I woke up this morning to it raining! What a beautiful sight. It was refreshing to shower outside rather than have to sail to the mainland and shower at the gym. I don’t mind the smell but I had a date.

Brytnee, one of the females I met at the cafe had invited me to a Meet and Greet. Thankfully I did have something respectable to wear though I don’t know if she agreed. “How…quaint” she said and I’m not so sure it was a compliment. Once inside we found a table and she ordered a platter of something delicious. But soon the paparazzi started making her uncomfortable so we left. I think she might be kind of famous.

Friday - I woke up early this morning to do some yoga. Sometimes I still feel like the fury is growing within me. Maybe it’s just a phantom pain, some lingering energy trapped inside me. I don’t want to be that creature who rampages through life. I want to learn to control that energy and release it elsewhere. If only Rory could see me now.

Today was Love Day and Brytnee invited me to dinner. She really must be rich cause she took us on a private jet all the way to Salvadorada just for lunch. I don’t have much but I had found a rose bush on the island. She seemed to appreciate it. By the end of the date she’d even proposed we become a couple. This seems to be similar to being Promised. I’m still not sure how this works but I know I don’t want to be alone.

Saturday - Today was spent in quiet. It’s strange being alone after growing up in the Pack. There was never silence. I guess I’m kind of a Lone Wolf now…Or…a Lone Man…somehow that seems more tragic. I’ve bought the tools to start making candles now which means I can take commissions as a Freelance Maker. It makes much better money than just selling carvings for whatever I can get off them.

I should have known that everything was going too well. I woke up to a sound in the night and thought the trench coat creature had returned to raid my trash. As it turned out, it was a thief. They stole my carving tools and scattered my fireplace. It will take some time to be able to replace those tools…for now I’ll focus my energy on my candles.

Sunday - Today Brytnee and I went to the Romance Festival in San Myshuno. I thought Windenburg was big, San My is HUGE!! There were rose petals everywhere and I was feeling romantic. Bry didn’t appreciate the gesture. She seemed tense the entire evening. “What’s your problem?” I couldn’t contain my frustration anymore. “You’ve been flirting with other women ever since we met. I’ve told you I don’t like it and you keep doing it!” “I’m just being friendly and introducing myself!”

Brytnee said our relationship is over. That she can’t handle being with someone who doesn’t have eyes for only her. I don’t understand it but I’m sure she just needs to figure it out. We’re Promised after all…but maybe that doesn’t mean anything here. And it wouldn’t be the first time I was Promised to someone. Maybe I really am better off a Lone Man…

Chapter 1 - A Fresh Start

It was a beautiful spring morning in Newcrest. Of course, every morning was beautiful and spring in this save. Beautiful, spring and far too short. Fiona Bellefleur had realized that after the doctor had given her the diagnosis: Diabetes. It wasn’t really her fault she’d been raised playing by the wheels of the Taste of Sulani food truck. Her dad brought the skill and her mom brought the spice.

Things were different in this save fresh and new and…vanilla. She shook her head trying not to think of her dad’s Vanilla Cupcakes. She’d left the city to get away from all the food temptations. She was a morning jog girlie now. A flash of something red made her stop. Snapdragons. They weren’t edible but they were beautiful. A perfect start to her garden.

The next morning her mom called. “How’s everything going sweetie? Is Newcrest everything you imagined”

Fiona looked down at her greasy grilled cheese she’d manage to scrounge up. “It’s great mom! I found the perfect house, I can start a garden on the roof and there’s even a gym next store”

“Great! So the money we gave you was enough then.”

“It sure was!” Fiona responded cheerfully trying not to look around her sparsely furnished home.

Her new life wasn’t going to be easy. But her health was important. Later that afternoon she headed next door to check out the gym. “I sure hope 15 simols is enough for a membership”

As it turned out there was no one watching the desk. She glanced around but no one was there so she slipped by the desk. She was a cheerful sim not a good one.

“Haven’t seen you around here, what’s a cutie like you doing here.” The look in his eyes told her he thought she belonged at a fast food joint rather than a gym.

“Lay off Vincenzo.” A voice from the other treadmill spoke up. “Like you’re one to talk”

Fiona’s phone chirped and she looked down to see another awkward mom text. She hardly had time to read it before the ground was flying out from under her. “Careful sweetheart”

So day one was not what she expected but she wasn’t about to give up. More fish meant less grilled cheese and a bigger garden meant she could keep her diabetes in check. Just because the men at the gym gave her a hard time didn’t mean it wasn’t worth it. And she wasn’t doing it for them she was doing it for herself and her future children!

Thankfully not all the guys were bad. “Your form is getting pretty good, Fiona”

“Thanks, J.” She blushed, trying not to show surprise that he knew her name.

“Hey so I was thinking…maybe you’d like to get drinks sometime or…maybe we go for a run together.”

“I’d love that! The canal by my house is great for jogging.”

“Oh yeah…I meant on the treadmill but outside sounds great too”

Before long the two were inseparable. She loved listening to J’s stories and he challenged her to work out more and helped her stick to her goals.

“I was thinking we could go for a jog tomorrow then do a picnic dinner at the park”

“I don’t know, Fiona, picnics aren’t really my thing. I don’t mind some dirt but not when I’m eating you know.”

“Oh well how about I make some Fish Tacos. I have some tomatoes that just came in”

“Like I said dirt…food…”

“Right…I mean I’d wash them”

“How bout we just stick to the gym.”

One night she heard a noise in her bathroom in the dead of night. She ran in to find a robber trying to steal her bathtub.

“Are you kidding me. I hardly have anything as it is. Can’t you rob the gym next store. They have insurance for these things and much nicer plumbing!”

“Sucks to be you” the robber said as she leapt through the window”

The next day she was telling the story to a friend when a man lifting weights spoke up “A robber took your bathtub.”

“I know it’s an unbelievable story but it really happened.”

“Yeah right! And you scared them off with your sweetness.” The man laughed and stalked out of the gym.

“Who was that?”

“Nobody. Just another bro. His name’s Justin Thorpe and he thinks he’s better than all the rest of us cause he’s athletic.”

✨Two New Founders✨

🌼Introducing Fiona Bellefleur🌼

Fiona (known as Sunny by her friends) just moved from San Myshuno where her parents ran a popular Spice Festival food truck. She always dreamed of taking over the business but when she got diagnosed with diabetes right on the eve of her YA birthday she decided to start over in Newcrest and make healthier choices so that she can leave a good legacy for her children.

She only has 5000 simols worth of furniture, with empty rooms and an an unfinished bathroom but she’ll grow into it and it’s the outside that matters to her. She’s got a small greenhouse and a huge open roof to start a rooftop paradise. Just hopefully she doesn’t fall off the ladder 😅

🏕️Introducing Augustus Capello🏕️

Gus is a man with a mysterious past. The short version is he has nothing and no one left except a tent and the clothes on his back. But he’s embraced it. He loves the outdoors and making something new out of things people see as trash. He’s ready to make a new start even if it’s Mid-Nowhere of The Crumbling Isle off the shore of Windenburg.

He hopes one day to scrounge up enough money through crafting that he can build a respectable micro or even tiny home, find true love and have a big family (is 5 kids too many?), he’d also like tattoos and a big garden but all that costs money so he better get to work!

Personal Life Update

It’s been over a year since I’ve posted The Mizrahi Legacy and I promise I’ll come back to it one way or another. The day of my last post I started texting a guy, a week later we started dating and within a month knew we wanted to spend forever together. A crappy spring of having friends and family turn against me because of how fast things were going turned into a worse summer when I announced I was pregnant and instead of excitement received disappointment. We got married in August and had our daughter Christmas Day.

While things are starting to settle the majority of my game time is when I’m nap trapped in the afternoon so I’m limited to what I can play on my husbands PlayStation and Sims base game is free 🤣🤣. While I have been starting to find some time to play PC games occasionally the Mizrahi save is highly involved and I don’t yet have the brain power nor the time to put into it that it deserves. We’re also trying to move to Peru (my husbands home country) in the next year and get my publishing business up and running so I can be a stay at home mom.

BUT I can’t go long without sims and I’m addicted to sharing my stories now. I’ve already been posting “The Many Lives of Amberlyn Tate” on occasion but I really love legacies so decided to start two new ones that I will keep more casual with less mods, planning and poses. I’ll be playing Sims in Bloom on console (BG version) and Extended Whimsy on my PC. Hopefully within a year or so I’ll be back in the flow and ready to return to the Mizrahi’s!

I’m also hoping by then I will have everything completely transferred to here from Twitter so I can post Mizrahi’s here and maybe Bluesky in the future. Thanks to all who support my stories!

The Sims 4 - Avatar Legacy Challenge

Water. Earth. Fire. Air.

Did you either smile in nostalgia or roll your eyes at the cliche of using the show’s intro? Are you looking for a legacy challenge that helps you explore different aspects of gameplay, all the while making fun callbacks to The Last Airbender series? Well, hotman, you’re in the right place!

This Avatar Legacy Challenge is a 4-13 generational challenge with themes surrounding characters, events, and locations from the Avatarverse, with enough wiggle room to make it fit your unique gameplay style.

Basic Rules

The purpose of this challenge is to complete the Avatar cycle by playing with 4 generations of the same family, but you may play up to 12 generations + 1 bonus gen with the current outline!

Each heir should represent their element or location by color scheme/style. You can base this on the show or your personal likes/dislikes.

You can live in any Sims world unless otherwise specified in the rules of a generation.

You can have as many children as you’d like unless otherwise specified in the rules of a generation.

Every generation is required to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Every generation is required to max out at least 4 skills to represent the 4 elements in the cycle.

This challenge was partially inspired by the super fun Not So Berry Challenge! I wanted to play a similar challenge after seeing others play, but I knew my ADHD would leave me bored after 2 days of unintentionally recreating a popular streamer’s gameplay of the challenge. I wanted my own adventure and way to explore the game. Hopefully you can enjoy it, too! 

I spent a lot of time developing this challenge and will actually be sharing episodic gameplay once a week on my YouTube channel starting 4/30/22!!
