🌼Introducing Fiona Bellefleur🌼

Fiona (known as Sunny by her friends) just moved from San Myshuno where her parents ran a popular Spice Festival food truck. She always dreamed of taking over the business but when she got diagnosed with diabetes right on the eve of her YA birthday she decided to start over in Newcrest and make healthier choices so that she can leave a good legacy for her children.

She only has 5000 simols worth of furniture, with empty rooms and an an unfinished bathroom but she’ll grow into it and it’s the outside that matters to her. She’s got a small greenhouse and a huge open roof to start a rooftop paradise. Just hopefully she doesn’t fall off the ladder 😅

Gus is a man with a mysterious past. The short version is he has nothing and no one left except a tent and the clothes on his back. But he’s embraced it. He loves the outdoors and making something new out of things people see as trash. He’s ready to make a new start even if it’s Mid-Nowhere of The Crumbling Isle off the shore of Windenburg.

He hopes one day to scrounge up enough money through crafting that he can build a respectable micro or even tiny home, find true love and have a big family (is 5 kids too many?), he’d also like tattoos and a big garden but all that costs money so he better get to work!

scrapped huecember piece! really liked the idea of alphamon looking upon a stained glass imperialdramon mural, but wasn't happy w the approach. hope one day i can come back to this idea with a fresher composition! really wanted to highlight their dynamic of founder and leader, which has always intrigued me 🥹 but future me will have to make it better! i know the rk's headquarters is usually depicted as gold 01 binary wallpaper like in x-evo, i like to think they have a snazzy castle haha

i never finished this series but i’ve been rewatching from the beginning and am hoping to finish it this time bc it’s so much fun and so chaotic. it’s probably not as well known since it’s on clare’s streaming channel, so i’m not sure how this post will do lmaoo, but i knew i had to at least make some simple fanart as it’s definitely one of my favs of clare’s series (i just love occult sims sm ok loll). i love how shamelessly dark it is and how many twists and turns the story took (most not even planned by clare lmao). the characters are so fun to interpret in my style !! pls click on image to see details better

It has been a while since Renee and Robbie last saw their grandparents, so they visited Evergreen Harbour to surprise them! Travelling to far places was harder for Felix and Maya since they were getting on in their years, so they were overjoyed to see their grandchildren AND great-grandchildren ❤️

Winter 1892

The Beng Minceskro had entered their home.

She started her infiltration of the Pelletier home by first infecting the Miller children. Seeing as Zachariah had recently passed away, Anne came to Rosalie for help since they were all sick with Scarlet Fever. She knew that Rosalie's hands were clean and her children were too sick to go to to the Doctor over in Gloucester.

Then a few days later Rosalie found she couldn't swallow anything harder than a thin chicken broth.

Despite her best efforts, constantly washing her hands and taking full baths when she arrived home after watching the Miller home, Minceskro had attached herself to Rosalie. She only hoped that Toulouse would come home before she could also find the baby in the house.

Toulouse came home to Rosalie on the bed and Abeille screaming in hunger. He quickly made a quick bowl of porridge to feed his daughter with before tending to his wife. She was hot with fever and had developed the telltale rash of Minceskro's attack.

Her throat was so swollen that she could barely speak and only pointed weakly at Abeille's cradle.

"Ma foi, she is fine, just hungry. I know you are going to protest but I'm going to take Abeille to the Reeds. I don't think the beng has found her, baxt. After which, I'm going to grab the doctor in Gloucester, even if he is gadjo. Devla has blessed us with so much since we have arrived in America, have faith. I know He won't take you away from me."

Rosalie was too weak and sick to protest a gadje doctor. But then again the gadje she had met in America had been kind, why would the doctor in Gloucester be any different.

The doctor said that by sheer luck, Minceskro had not found their baby. For now, he advised that she stay with the Reeds until her mother was no longer ill. He said that the worst part has past for Rosalie, pointing out that her rash was at the point where it as no longer like goosepimples and going into the stage that looks like she had been in the sun too long.

It was a slow process of two weeks. Then finally as quickly as she had arrived, Minceskro had left their home. But not without evidence of her attack. Rosalie remained weak and barely had the strength to go to the outhouse. The doctor advised them that for the next year or so it would be best if she avoided strenuous activity and that they should refrain from marital duties because pregnancy could possibly kill her.

Toulouse didn't care. He only cared that she was alive and still here with him.

There was an aspect of Rosalie's Alsatian upbringing that Toulouse believed would be right for that Christmas. He had gone into the woods to find the perfect Christmas tree. This Germanic Tradition had been taking hold in America, and the one in the Town Squire lit Rosalie's eyes up with delight. He knew that they were supposed to be placed on a table but there was no room in their cabin for that.

She immediately got to work making a cranberry and popped corn; a very newfangled treat for the pair and there was more cranberries than popcorn as a result.

They went into the new year with a new outlook on life in America.

Romani believe that illness is a moral impurity (marime) caused by one of nine beng (devils/demons), children of an evil spirit king and his poor kidnapped faerie queen wife, Ana. Minceskro is one of their daughters. She takes the form of a very yonic looking beetle, a result of her conception involving a dung beetle (yeah it's a complicated horror fairytale). She is married to her brother (all of the children of Ana and the Evil Spirit king are married to each other) Lolmischo. Their children cause Scarlet Fever, Measles, and smallpox (red diseases). Minceskro herself causes blood diseases and disorders.

Illness being so marime is why we are very meticulous about our hygiene and cleanliness in general. If they were still with their Baro, they would have avoided the doctor altogether. We are very suspicious of doctors and especially gadje doctors.
