Recorded a few months into our journey with the game, this video shows our raw, unrefined tactics as we disrupt enemy supply operations. As it can be seen in the video, we encounter the formidable Automatons—mechanical enemies completely dangerous and sometimes almost unstoppable.

[HELLDIVERS 2] Secure Black Box [SUICIDE MISSION]

One of the first missions we have attempted soon after the new faction, the Illuminate, was introduced. 

I must say we've been completely taken by surprise. Neither Me, ‪@EnergySp1d3r‬ nor Pyrokar knew how to deal with those guys - but I guess that's pretty obvious judging by the failed mission and the fact that we completely forgot about it in the first place, once we got surrounded by so many Voteless.

Helldivers - Nuke Nursery [EXTREME]

After taking quite a break from the game, @EnergySp1d3r , Pyrokar and I jumped back into the action, only to be greeted by the new enemy—the Impaler. I wish I could have said that it caught us off guard with its deadly spear-like attacks, but I kinda expected this to happen, especially after reading about the updates. 

The Impaler is currently a significant threat on the battlefield due to its unique attack style and the danger it poses to Helldivers. On top of that, the Impaler is highly aggressive and will actively pursue Helldivers. 

The attack is both powerful and has a considerable range, allowing the Impaler to strike from a distance. It can be lethal if not avoided, making it crucial for players to stay mobile and aware of their surroundings. 

I'd also say that the attack looks very precise. 

However I look at this, there's only one last thing I can say. New challenges are definitely welcomed. It's good to be back! 

(By the way, yes, it took us a while to figure out the location of the first Nursery chamber).

We are back to fighting the bugs! The only difference is that this time we have a full squad! Playing with @EnergySp1d3r , Vladyzlav and and Pyrokar as we are still trying to learn how to work better as a team.

[Helldivers 2] The Fight Against Automatons Continues [HARD]

Well, we might be far from perfect, but considering the beginning, I'm genuinely surprised that we're gradually figuring out how to combat the automatons - even though it's sad that sometimes we might lose people on our way or right before the extract. Considering their immense strength and pinpoint accuracy, it's remarkable that we're finding ways to counter their formidable capabilities.

Helldivers 2 - Conduct Geological Survey [HARD]

Gotta admit that Automatons can be a little too hard to beat sometimes, especially as you increase the difficulty - and because of their long-range attacks. Not to mention that it's nearly impossible to avoid getting hit by their attacks.

Helldivers - Spread Democracy [Medium]

From Terminids to Automatons!!  This faction is full of robotic enemies and tough is not enough of a strong word to describe them. Even though me and probably many other players appreciate a little bit of challenge - which increases the need for new strategies, therefore keeping the gameplay fresh and exciting - automatons are quite difficult to defeat, which can become pretty frustrating at times.

I think at that time @EnergySp1d3r , VLADYZLAV and I were somewhat still figuring out things about the Automatons and definitely didn't think about trying to clear the area and search for more samples.

Looks like the Dark Fluid did its job afterall. Meridia was successfully collapsed into what looks like a huge purple black hole. 

On another note, under the Trivia category of Helldivers fandom wiki, it is stated that "The strange sounds of Meridia in its Black Hole state are a slown-down and pitched down version of the Illuminate Combat Music in the game files."

My friends and I once again dive into intense battles to defend Super Earth from the relentless onslaught of bug-like alien species!! The game blends fast-paced action with deep strategic elements, ensuring that every mission against the bugs is a thrilling and high-stakes adventure for our squad.

Helldivers 2 - Testing the Guard Dog

Some time ago I decided to test the Guard Dog drone which seems to have what some people would call a dual-edged nature. It's equipped with a laser, which - even though not perfect -is pretty good at targeting and eliminating enemies. However, its automated targeting system can be unpredictable, posing a significant risk to fellow players ( and @EnergySp1d3r can confirm that my drone surely hit him on a few random occasions during missions). The laser, while effective against adversaries, may accidentally strike teammates if they are caught in the line of fire. This element adds a layer of strategic complexity, as players must weigh the benefits of the Guard Dog's firepower against the potential for friendly fire incidents.

Helldivers 2 - Flamethrower and Guard Dog!!

A laser drone and a flamethrower, what could possibly go wrong? Even though I have already mentioned a few things about the Guard Dog in another video, like the fact that it is automatically targeting and attacking enemies within its range, it can also accidentally strike other teammates. Yet, the flamethrower can also be a little bit chaotic at times! It's a powerful, close-range weapon, which engulfs enemies in a torrent of flames, dealing significant damage over a wide area. Ideal for crowd control and clearing swarms of smaller foes, though it requires careful use to avoid friendly fire - after all, we don't want our teammates to catch fire, do we, @EnergySp1d3r ?
