Honestly, it's really fun how Dungeon Meshi haa the main party take on a teenage cat girl halfway through the series, except she's covered in fur all over so nothing shows even when she's naked, she's arguably the most skilled combatant in the group, basically everyone treats her like a kid they're taking care of, she acts like a feral cat begrudgingly choosing to adopt a group of humans instead of a needy kitten, she's a picky eater, she's immune to monsters that try to seduce you, and her past as a slave is directly shown to be traumatic and miserable to the point that her former owner literally made her have a magic seal on her neck that would murder her if she managed to escape.

She's basically the antithesis of fanservice catgirls. Every single trait other series use to turn catgirls into sex objects is inverted to make for an entertaining and interesting character.

one of my favorite running gags about dungeons and daddies is the meta joke of coming up with amazing ideas for mini games that are completely wasted in the audio format. having players solve one of those printed out mazes? genius. having the player of the plumber character play pipe mania? amazing. dropping a bag of dice down a flight of stairs? truly stunning. it would be even better if we could experience more than the player’s ooo’s and aaa’s though. but dungeons and daddies isn’t a podcast to be enjoyed. it’s a fandom to be banished to, only given parole if on your best behavior.

in tonights session of the cyberpunk campaign im playing in, our party snuck into a party we weren’t invited to, our adam smasher knockoff won 12.7 million eddies at roulette while the greatest netrunning battle in recent history occurred between one of our party members trying to hack the roulette machine to let the tin can win, while another party member tried to hack the roulette machine to make metal sonic lose (the netrunning rolls were a 71 against a 57 (d10 system btw)) and it was apparently my character dancing too good that blew our cover. mb gang wont dance at a party ever again, im simply too goated with the sauce.
