Flat, fast, and friendly! The Crawfish Crawl 5K has always been regarded as a fast walking and running course and this year is no different. In fact, The Crawfish Crawl 5K will use the new pedestrian overpass from Tualatin City Park to Durham City Park and Cook Park. The majority of the course is on a closed bike path. The Tualatin Commons Lake provides a refreshing and festive start/finish area for the race. The Tualatin Crawfish Festival will be in full swing on the commons and also at the City Park. The Festival does have a pancake breakfast available near the finish line for a nominal fee so bring your family and friends and enjoy the day. Look for our group warm up and prizes from ClubSport Oregon. Portland Running Company & Mizuno is providing a technical T-shirt to every entrant. Portland Running Company will be providing awards and prizes including shoes, apparel, and accessories. The Crawfish Crawl is sanctioned by the USATF. Participants can register at all three Portland Running Company locations (www.portlandrunningcompany.com) or on-line at www.runwithpaula.com. Lacamas Lake – July 28th, 2013
Event Overview
This is the 10th year for the Lacamas Lake Half Marathon Event! With the 10th year comes change. This year, the start and finish will be in downtown Camas the day following the big Camas Days Celebration. The beautiful and quaint downtown provides the perfect setting for this event. Youll love it!
The course will have a hill at the start and then it’s flat running to the lake. The moderately challenging course picks up with the old course in that youll do a full loop around Lacamas Lake. This new route eliminates two of the major hills from prior years and then provides for a very fast finish as you’ll run down Dallas drive into downtown Camas with a finish right in front of Liberty Theater.
After the event, enjoy great music and our NEW beer garden, event sponsors and some amazing food vendors! Register and see why this event continues to grow and is viewed as one of the most beautiful half marathon courses in the region!
Headphones are allowed this year, but dogs will not be allowed on the course due to insurance restrictions. Thank you in advance for helping to make the Lacamas Lake Event safe and enjoyable!
For Parents
Don’t forget to bring your kids. Our kids’ 1K has doubled in size every year, helping to make our Lacamas Lake event a family affair! The courses are now Baby Jogger friendly.
