Hi! I wanted to recommend a really good body horror manga called Uzumaki. It's from the late 90s, but it's REALLY good, and Parasyte kinda reminded me of it in terms of just sheer weirdness and unexpectedness. It doesn't have an anime, unfortunately, but it had a (sub par) movie and 2 games. I think you'd really like it!

IT HAD GAMES?? I’ve read the manga and I was going to watch the movie with a friend at some point. I love Junji Ito’s works! I’m definitely curious about those games, though. I’ll look into it later if I can.
