How to grind beans and use a French Press. 1. Use a Krugs coffee bean grinder. Got mine from Kroger, works great. I normally use/grind (0.5 ounces - 1 Oz of beans) because I drink at least 16-20 Oz of coffee per cup. 😁 2. Pour the grinded beans into your French Press. (My French Press is stainless steel, $30 bucks, from Kroger as well) I stir the clumps out if I have some to keep the grind smooth. 3. Add hot water and stir for about 10 seconds. 4. Apply French Press lid and let it sit/brew for 2-3 minutes. (I always do 3) *Ignore the finger prints and smudges on the lid. LOL 5. Press French Press filter down until it stops. 6. I was introduced to the coffee world at 26 years old through a Direct Sales company named Organo Gold. My bro @thekensultant ., shared some info with me that intrigued me about the coffee business. I decided to attend a business presentation. That night (August 6,2011), I heard my brother @jarrodwilkins and @davidimonitie speak for the first time. I was blown away , bought in at the silver level ($534) and started building the business with no real skills. Ken was able to reach the first leadership level in the company, Nnamdi and David would go on to become superstars in the company but I never reached the 1st leadership level. I never hated them or got jealous, because we had conversations that still inspire me and help me today. I am excited to start and launch my own coffee company - D.A.D. Coffee Company. As a dad, sometimes we don't consider the influence we have over others, specifically our children. I grew up without my father, I learned that God is a father to the fatherless. God has blessed me and given me covering, love, freedom and joy. This company is my offering to my community and the world because of what God has given me. As a D.A.D., I am Destined for the greatness for God's glory, and determined to live out my calling that God has given me for His glory. I did a demographic study some time last year on my hood where I grew up. I watched a video on the most dangerous neighborhoods earlier this month. Sunnyside is considered the #1 worst neighborhood in Houston and the #6 worst in the country. there is a 1 in 10 chance for you to get robbed in that neighborhood daily. smh. That info convicted me and I came up with a new EP that I felt would shed a small light on my neighborhood, my city and my life growing up.
