Gothic references

Sometimes I have a hard time coming up with character designs, so I often search the vastness of the Internet. The goth's clothes have a kind of vibe that I want to feel more strongly. And in order not to lose, I decided to make a mini compilation here with some thoughts :з

Routs in Gothictale

Like Undertale, Gothictale has its own routs:

Adaptation Route. Not wanting to return to the human world, Frisk will attempt to negotiate with Asgore. Through pain and several restarts, Frisk succeeds. Analogous to the True Pacifist Route

Chara and Asriel regain their bodies, and the latter regains his memory. Frisk lives under Gaster's tutelage, and he also trains her

Second Life Route. Analogous to the Neutral Route, where Frisk, after fighting Rosenthal's Perfect Form (Gothic! Photoshop Flowey), sacrifices Asgore of his own accord. Frisk becomes Undead, and Toriel regains the title of Queen, trying to make up for lost time and "apologize" to the monsters

Only Chara gets her body back and also tries to help Frisk adjust to her new life. Toriel also assigns Richelieu the role of assistant royal alchemist, i.e. Alphys

Experimentation Route. Genocide Route, where Frisk tortures all the monsters for the sake of knowledge and experimentation, and gradually takes pleasure in it. But Gaster keeps getting in the way, trying to stop the young alchemist's atrocities

Gaster will start to slowly turn into a lich with each restart. Sans will go crazy and try to kill Frisk as soon as possible

Of all the main trio in Gothictale, Chara is the rowdiest. He loves to argue with anyone, even if the arguments are made out of thin air. Rosenthal hates his bluster, and Richelieu, well… Silences him in his own way.

Canon fact: In this AU, Frisk's soul does not represent Determination, but has a more negative connotation

I realized that there was a good reference to the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood". Frisk is Little Red Riding Hood and Chara is the wolf. Only they're friends lmao

Gothictale is an Undertale AU with a gothic and dark fantasy style by the artist LAVIFAL/Lavinia (@lavifal). Inspired by the Victorian era and partly by the gothic subculture and its subspecies.

In this AU, the war between monsters and humans decided many things, from which the First Nation decided to shut themselves off from the sun forever. They were shut down voluntarily by human wizards, but they regretted it - they died after creating the barrier, although they read the "contract" carefully. Everything is ruled by the Dreemurr family, who pass the reign from generation to generation to the eldest child; this happened to Asgore, the current king of the monsters. The next reign was supposed to go to Asriel, but after they met a man named Chara and lost their bodies (i.e. Asriel and Chara) , Asgore seemed to go mad and gave the order:

This did not please the queen and his wife, Toriel, who after the funeral of the children went to the ruins to live as a lonely hermit. But the king does not want to clean up the law, so she tries to protect the people who appeared in the dungeon, which of course did not work out. The king doesn't collect souls for release because he knows what will happen if they get out. He doesn't care at all what happens to human souls when they lose their bodies. He doesn't even know what the consequences are.

Frisk is an aspiring alchemist who did not make friends with magic. After she made a mistake at a young age, people wanted to execute her. But she quickly escaped to Mount Abott, where she fell into a field of blood-red roses. When she awoke, she encountered not only a talking rose named Rosenthal, but also a running wolf cub who demanded her body back and introduced himself as Chara.

Flowey) and Chara don't want to hurt Frisk, and the other one asks for help to get a new human body. ❖ The Skelebros are vampire skeletons. And yes, they can drink blood to maintain their souls and bones. ❖ W.D. Gaster is the guardian of the Skelebros and Alphys' mentor. ❖ Papyrus is the head of Snowdin's City Guard, one of a team of royal guards. ❖ There are human souls who have been given a second chance at life, but as monsters. Their souls are simply reversed.

Alchemy is not fun. It's the life that lives in the hearts of monsters and humans to create something greater. An understanding of how things work. Alchemy has found its way into everyone's life, despite the existence of magic, which has also become a part of this science.

Frisk is an aspiring alchemist, but once a hopeful specialist. Where she was born, there was little knowledge of the science. However, the girl took matters into her own hands and travelled to one of the cities to train. Despite her somewhat unstable magic, Frisk proved to be a reliable specialist. Things could have gone on like this until one day a relative of hers fell ill. Despite her best efforts to keep her only relative's SOUL alive, he died before her eyes. She decided to do one thing after which the search for her execution would begin.
