Are there any Goyuu fics where Gojo has to fight a Sukuna possessed Yuji? I think that would involve some very interesting plot due to feeling they have for each other

The closest I found was (Don't Ever) Let Me Go by fifthgiver, in which Gojo has to fight a 20-finger strong Sukuna and things go very wrong (heavy angst, MCD).

I tried several tag combinations and asked around, but it doesn't seem like many authors have worked with this premise. Which is a shame since I wholly agree, it would be SO interesting!

Adding to this, not quite what you were asking for, but Hyoushin touches on Yuuji and Sukuna merging on some of their fics, which is tangentially related and quite interesting too.

Oh. Oh, this fic. A treasure trove of character exploration, and beautiful, beautiful prose. And most of all, a very succesful effort at answering the what-ifs a role reversal scenario might pose.

I really enjoy the author's take on adult Yuuji, and how the events of Hidden Inventory look like in his eyes. Not to mention his relationship with Satoru. His love and care is so palpable, it's truly a wonderful thing to witness. The story being Pre-Slash adds to this, in my opinion, as it intensifies the feeling of unacknowledged yearning through out.

I'd say this the kind of story that it's meant to be digested slowly, with care. And one of my favorites for sure.

What a read! Mythological settings are always a treat, and I just adore the author's choice of making Gojo the morally ambiguous angel to Yuuji's Lot. So fitting.

The style is interesting and very effective at conveying the tone. Also very sexy if dubcon and immortal beings playing favorites is your thing (it most definitely is mine).

I dunno why, but I am craving this AU, love the idea of student-era!Gojo and Yuji interact together and fall for each other. Especially since younger Gojo has something to him that feels different from his older self. Maybe it's the arrogance🤔?

Thoughts

Despite leaning more towards top!Gojo, I'm the kind to crave variety from time to time. It truly is a tragedy that there's not a whole lot of the reverse out there (or explicitly versatile!goyuu even? If you know any please let me know), and therefore, I infinitely treasure all my favorites.

This one is so fun. Very sexy, very loving and so playful. Gojo is such a brat (a little manic, a lot to handle, much to love) and Yuuji is the exasperated little puppy who couldn't love his sensei more if he tried.

Other than really enjoying the author's witty style, the story being set a few years into a established relationship really helps getting across how comfortable they are with each other, and that's always a lovely undertone to have in otherwise smutty fics.

(i wanna know) by blue_hydrangeas, the same author who wrote twist and sprout (another fave of mine). it's a soulmates au that's also canon compliant, though does not spoil the manga! to see the way touch deprivation and lack of soulmarks physically and mentally reflect on goyuu's sense of otherness or loneliness was well done in this fic, and seeing the way they get together at the end and how they overcome The Thing is so, so good 🥺 pleasant day to you!!

Thoughts

Okay so this was my very first fic for this fandom, and it still stands as one of my favorites. My favorite Athena fic too, and you know I love them all. I couldn't possibly get all my thoughts down in a few concise paragraphs, but I'll do my best.

This author always crafts the most interesting worlds and premises, making me feel like I'm getting an insider view on everything they choose to touch on (chronic illness and japanese folklore, in this case), all delivered through a smart and easy to read writing style that pulls you in right away.

Ah, the romance and drama of it all. I love how naturally Gojo and Yuuji's relationship develops, how easy their chemistry is. They fall for each other hard and fast, and it hits me in the feels every single time. They're so fun together! It just fills me with joy. Also destroys me, when the hurt part of that Hurt/Comfort tag comes into play.

Another favorite aspect of this story is how enjoyable the characterizations are. I really like this take on an older Yuuji, so capable and caring and equipped with the maturity needed to handle (and adore every second of) the one and only, Gojo Satoru. And Gojo! what a delightful character to read. He's got a permanent silliness to himself paired with a frustrating, but very understandable nihilism that makes him inmediately fascinating. Plus the unique Gojo trait of being a grown man and a pretty boy all at once. Oh, how I adore him.

All in all, amazing read. I'd be surprised if you guys didn't already know of this fic, but if you didn't, please take a look! You won't regret it.

You know when a smut fic hits so many of your preferences at once that you just have to lean back in amazement?

There is the inherent dubcon of underage amplified by omegaverse, the desperation of a sudden heat, the shameless manipulation, Yuuji described as a gorgeous, unconventional omega; all fantastic. And then the best part, the story being told from the point of view of a shameless bastard Gojo who genuinely cares for and really really loves Yuuji.

There are mentions of breeding and pups, for anyone who'd like the heads up. As someone who loves that sort of heat-talk, that is just another plus on this amazingly tasty meal.

Thoughts

This is probably my favorite type of fluff: quiet and heartwarming, pausing to take in the small details and the in-between moments.

What stays with me the most is Yuuji's evolving understanding of what falling in love means, as a young queer kid. Realizing your experience is different to other people's and trying to downplay it while simultaneously being extremely aware of it is very relatable to me, and I just love how the author kept this element of self-discovery through out the whole story.

Overall, I really enjoyed the writing style and felt my heart explode in my chest every time goyuu got any closer (especially the kissing scenes!). And I love how Yuuji is written as distinctly young and inexperienced but not naive. It felt quite refreshing to me, and made me feel what Yuuji was feeling right alongside him.

Thoughts

I didn't know this was something I wanted until I read it: a crack-y premise like fuck or die taken seriously in all it's complex emotional glory. Really, pre-relationship goyuu crossing the line in the worst possible way and then having to grapple with the fallout is just genius.

I loved the pacing and the tension throughout, but what I'm particularly charmed by is Gojo's characterization. I like him morally grey and shameless the best, but there is something about good adult Gojo being put in situations where he is powerless that really resonates with me. And, unsurprisingly, the moment where his resolves breaks and both of them just enjoy themselves despite everything was incredibly emotionally compelling, and also just very sexy.

Currently there is a sequel being updated that is also incredible, highly recommend that as well! I'm debating if I should post about unfinished fics here or not, since there are some true gems in the goyuu tag I've been following for a while, but I'm not sure. We'll see?

Amnesia is a guilty pleasure trope of mine, and paired with a secret relationship? I was crazy excited to read this and despite feeling like my heart got stabbed repeatedly through out I loved this story. I was hanging by a thread with only that happy ending tag as my lifeline for most of it. The prose and style did such a good work at creating an atmosphere of... wistfulness? that perfectly carried the emotional experience.

Many aspects of this fic made me emotional, but what stands out the most after rereading several times is how good Yuuji and Gojo are for each other. There's all these little moments where I couldn't help but think "ah, so this is why they love each other". They fit like puzzle pieces and nothing shows it better than the casual touches, the out of hand comments, the easy chemistry. It almost serves as a relationship study too, which is amazing.

Author mentions being lightly inspired by Madoka Magica and yes, I see it and I love it. The concept of a future Yuuji time travelling back to Shibuya to save the day is fascinating, and the specific way it plays out in this fic was amazing (and deeply romantic. You gotta read it).

I found the writing style very mature and vivid and SO pretty, it lit up all the right areas of my brain. For that alone I would recommend, but the uniqueness of the plot, the open ending and the beauty that is future!Yuuji hijacked my thoughts for days after reading for the first time.
