I don’t believe Peggy Carter is Steve rogers soulmate (in the mcu)

I believe they loved each other perhaps but all in all if you look at the timeline it doesn’t add up to her being his grand life stopping love and makes no sense that he would sacrifice all that he built in his new life to go back to a person he knew for maybe 4 years at max and that’s stretching it.

By the time Steve’s arc finishes in the mcu he would have been in the present world for at least 10 years.

1943 he meets Peggy, they had an engery to their interactions and clearly both liked each other. They were definitely friends. But this was the middle of a war and he was the spear head of it, always in combat always in training. Moving here to there. He prolly got more close with Buchanan and the rest of his team, and in the downtime would MAYBE hang with Peggy who also was an important part of the war effort so she too didn’t have a lot of time on her hands being one of the original founders of S.H.E.I.L.D and such.

1944, Buchanan is presumed K.I.A, which I’m sure definitely brought them closer. But still it’s just prolly flirting and charged moments but still from what we see they never do much else other then close friends Esq stuff even if it’s clear bother like each other and highkey fumbling at trynna be something ( I present to the court when Steve kissed the women played by Natalie dormer, they were obviously building something but never quit got it)

1945 just before he goes up on the aircraft him and Peggy share a kiss and promising each other a dance.

THAT IS IT THAT IS ALL THEY EVER HAD. A KISS SOME LONGING AND A PROMISE OF A DANCE THEY WERE NOT THE LOVE OF EACH OTHERS LIVES THAT MAKES NO DAMN SENSE.

They knew each other max 3 years and some change. And for most of that (longing and wanting aside) they were friends (and this is strictly the mcu not touching on the comics cause I’m uneducated bout those happenings)

2011-2023 Steve spent making connections and rebuilding his life.

A decade

Over 3,650 days.

That dwarfs the amount of time he had with Peggy.

By that time he had gotten more closer and prolly care more for Natasha or Litcjerly anyone else (not saying I am a nat steve shipper but not saying im opposed)

In that time he finds Buchanan again and meets Sam

And I’m sure the 2 years Sam, Steve, and Natcha were on the run only having each other they for sure got more close then those 3 years spent with Peggy.

All they had were their belief in each other and trust, for around 730 days. Running form world governments learning small things about each other, in shitty hotels day in and day out.

And he left them ???? For her ????? Like respectfully I ain’t buying that. Like realistically Steve was not spending all 3 years he knew Peggy with her getting to know her deeply, HE WAS AT WAR HE DID NOT HAVE THAT TYPE OF TIME

Then it’s like Bucky of it all.

THEY WERE BOYS TOGETHER.

Since 12/13 protecting each other being there, growing together. When Steve’s mother died Bucky quite literally was all the family Steve had left.

He started a civil war for him, full stop.

Tore apart his new family, which impacted GOVERNMENTS and world politics and I’m supposed to believe he left him, them, for a women he kissed ONCE 70 years ago ????????

I get Steve mourning what he had but I don’t, I won’t, get behind him leaving all he built for the ghost of a memory of a women.

I understand logically Chris Evens and Caps both were ready to hang it up. That is normal and okay, but that ending was dog shit.

Going back to the easiest option like pls don’t play in my face.

Now this is my vampire dairies past jumping out to play, but I love vampires and their relationship with the sun.

Sinners really puts it in your face. Even its use of shadows, in the movie you can see multiple times how obscured the vampires faces are. My thoughts and observations as someone trying to get better at reading comics

The shark being dress was top tier, I like how it doesn’t feel like a weird sexualized humanoid animal - learned their name is Princess shark, I like your drip Princess Shark.

The more I see about Kandor the more interested I’m in this little kryptoian city. Like doesn’t that mean… theirs a whole city of Kryptoains alive and well just kinda there ???? Or am I missing something.

Who lives there ??? Why don’t we see more interaction with the city in other forms of media ?

Kara’s outfit in this run is so cute and youthful.
