I get it, but i’m not really writing for fun and yeah it’ll probably he predictable. Im not author and i just like to write down what pops into my head and hope others enjoy the small idea. And i NEED Xanthus back WE MISS U D:

A dream, or a nightmare?

A short drabble thingy

This one is angst but the next will be comfort so bear (bare? Which one is it? Its too late for this shit.) with me, it isnt long but i enjoyed writing this <3

Her gaze was set on herself in the mirror, dressed in fine materials, weaved into the most expensive of patterns. Her dress trickled down onto the floor slightly though she stood unmoving.

After hearing her quiet breaths appear suddenly, Xanthus decided to depart from the ball he had previously been hosting in search of his uninvited guest. Possibly a thief, probably tonights meal. The door opened swiftly as his eyes found the back of her figure, hair soft and shining in the setting suns light, her posture was poised and she stood with an air of dignity and power. As if she was a goddess that had somehow been misplaced.

He couldnt explain it, yet for the first time in his life, Xanthux stopped and truly looked. He saw a human that was worth so much more than any riches he could offer and suddenly more important than all of the nobility and wealth that chatted and pretended to be civil in his ballroom that seemed all so important a moment ago.

The silence in the room was somewhat melancholy, her breathing was even and as she turned her head slowly, he saw what seemed to be an air of sadness to her. Their eyes met and neither spoke, her eyes grew soft and she took a step toward him.

“Xanthus,” one word. An airy word spoken through a sigh, seeming almost relieved to see him. His name that he had came up with on a whim and held no meaning to him became the most beautiful thing anyone had ever said to him.

She continued to speak, “my love… it has been so long. I have missed you so,” she was quiet in her speech and Xanthus found his throat closing up.

Ha had never met this woman in his life, yet she seemed so familiar, like a melody you adore yet cannot seem to place the name of.

She cupped his cheek in her palm and he found himself leaning into her touch, “it’s too late. Im gone, my love. Im so sorry.” Her eyes teared up and he found himself somewhat frantic, what does she mean? Where is she going? Please stay…

Her hand left his skin and she stepped back, the ache in Xanthus’s heart grew into a jolting pain as his eyes welled with hidden emotion. Confusion, sadness, mourning.

He watched as she lept from the forth story window, as her form disappeared into the open air he rushed forward, finally able to move again, but as he reached his hand down from the window to catch her, she was gone. He was too late. He couldnt save her. She is destined to die. The bond, broken, and his heart, the same.

I really hope you enjoyed, ive been really stressed lately but i had the sudden urge to write so i am doing so. There will he a part two in around an hour probably so this isn’t tue end, i promise. I know i haven’t been around much bit i do struggle to keep up with hobbys, though i enjoy writing and have for years now.

When Xanthus does something that annoys Love, they will speak in riddles. Now, don’t get me wrong, Xanthus loves a good riddle, but when said riddle is “thats not very skibidi sigma rizz of you”, he absolutely hates it.

“Love, i don’t think its a good idea for you to go out alone anymore so i’ll go with you if you ever want to go into town”, Xanthus says, casually sitting down next to Love and opening his book.

“… do not come to my town.”

“…”

“…”

“… what?”

“You know you’ve bonded with a mass murderer?”, Fran exclaims, slowly walking towards Love with two daggers clasped in her palms.

“She said she was twelve!”

Xanthus leans back after closing the wound on Loves neck, a streak of blood smeared across his cheek.

“… is that hyperpigmentation?”

“Uh, no. Love, its just some blood”

“So, how did the date go?”, Dontis asks, his gaze not leaving the page as Love throws themself onto the sofa and sprawls out.

“It was fun, we went put to the usual restaurant and he ordered red wine and a side of bread sticks, seriously, people are gonna think he has a damn eating disorder. He claims that he’s saving room for my blood but we all know he just likes bread sticks too much.”

“… sounds like it was interesting”

“…”

“And then i take him to my penthouse, and i freak it” (◉◞౪◟◉)

I think that Issac is a huge fan of A Series of Unfortunate Events, even though he claims to have no time for tv, he probably watched it as a teenager and still likes to re-visit it sometimes. It’s kind of like a comfort show to him despite the uncanny feeling it has.

Im bored so here is one head cannon for every character I’ve listened to ( ¯ □ ¯ )

- Xanthus enjoys playing the piano for Love whilst they’re reading.

- Andrew can’t tell the difference between AI and real videos/images.

- Dontis decided to try out TikTok to attempt to “connect with the younger generations of human” and accidentally has an (extremely blurry and with an even more confused Dontis) image posted of himself with no tags and the song About Damn Time by Lizzo playing in the background.

- Issac secretly watches 40 min long cat videos before going to bed, he refuses to let anybody find out, but in his defense its only because if he didnt end the day with funny cat videos, the horrors of his job and responsibilities that weigh on him would cause him to not be able to sleep. He’s tried things like CBD and relaxants but its just made him more anxious at the thought of intruders. (Sorry about making this kinda sad i just love Issac and i ignore him way too much).

- Elias’s favourite colour was pink when he was younger, but he got weird looks from his dads colleagues when he wore it so he decided to lie and say his favourite colour was blue instead.

- Asirel has an issue with rolling his eyes, whenever somebody talks to him, he rolls his eyes, if somebody knocks on his door, he rolls his eyes, etc. It’s a huge problem that he’s had his whole life and he cant go a day without rolling his eyes.

Honestly if somebody asked me who my favourite character is i would have to say Dontis, not because he’s and incubus but he’s just so nice. He totally gives the best hugs and is super open, i wouldn’t want to date him because i don’t really date at all but i just wanna put a little pink bow on his horns :(

I have absoloutly no idea what this will entail, i just know i want this to be the title ∪︿∪

Xanthus had never thought of himself as a sociable person, of course he would talk to people when he found a need to or for status, but friends? It was unimaginable, and god forbid a lover?! Absoloutly not, its ridiculous, a 400 year old vampire dating? He wasn’t interested.

But here he is, a lover, kids, and a best friend of sorts. What has his peaceful world come to. He had always been a loner, a vampire. Something that is cruel and lurks in the shadows with no need for something as menial as company.

So it begs the question, what changed? The halls that were once filled with silence, the occasional screams and pleadings of victims from long ago echoing through the halls, reminding him of his cruel past, what he is, are now filled with giggling and tiny feet pattering throughout the mansion. A warmth that Xanthus hadn’t dreamt of feeling since his human days before the war.

For so long he had convinced himself that he was a monster that people should fear, a being that isn’t capable of nurturing life, but here he is. Every night like clockwork, tucking them in and reading to them for however long they need, sometimes staying up all night because of a nightmare, watching and patiently waiting, not to hunt but to protect.

The role of father was never one he saw himself in but now he realises that it is something he will cherish for the rest of his days. He knows it will one day come to an end. Maybe the last years will entail funeral after funeral, watching as his delicate little family crumples into dust at the hands of fate. Leaving behind a shell once again. Or possibly a family of vampires, though he found it difficult to imagine the purest of people he knew of as monsters.

The thought sickened him every time.

But for now, he would sit in wait. Listening to their breathing slowly even out into light snoring, closing the book on his lap and sneaking out of the room silently.

Today isnt one the day he will be alone once more, so he wont dread the future, but relish in the present.

I would honestly really love to see one of the characters we already know being a supernatural being, somebody like Bartender or a character apart of the Wraiths (idk spelling).

Since Pet brought another mythic to our attention its completely reasonable that this is a new character who will receive their own audios, like saku has been wanting to do, or it is a character we know such as Xanthus, Dontis, etc.

I love when their stories mix but i know that Xanthus and Dontis are in a bit of a situation at the moment and we are still waiting to see what will happen.

The new audio has brought so many new ideas for me so i will hopefully be writing again soon!

Im going to go back and listen to audios (again) so i will be back with my theories (๑¯ω¯๑)

Just thinking about when Love and Xanthus go on dates whether thats dinner dates or museum dates Love is always wandering around happily with a grumpy Xanthus and their 6’3 happy little child trailing behind (Dontis)

Xanthus is grumpy because Love constantly insists on bringing Dontis wherever they go :3

Genuinely love Love and Xanthus and Dontis antics, should i do some head-cannons on them?

Issac: “interesting, Pet is still safe to be around though? Pickle will be okay, right?”

Asirel: “well, it depends. Pet is unpredictable but usually stays peaceful around people that are friendly to them. But i can’t say for sure.”

Issac: starting to become nervous, knowing Asirel is probably exaggerating it but still worrying for Pickle “… maybe we should check on them.”

Issac: opening the door to the room

Jump up superstar playing on full volume from a just dance video, Pickle not noticing and Pet simply not caring.

Asirel: staring at the pair inelegantly flailing around in an attempt to match the commands “Pet is usually more…-“

Issac: not impressed “intimidating, didnt you say?”

Asirel: clears throat and walks back out into the hallway “moving on.”
