The moon shone down on the world, illuminating naturally. Such beauty was left as is, it didn’t need to change for others, it spun on its own in a dance for one.
So, why is it that others have to change their beauty? If all natural things are the things we find most picturesque, why are we not beautiful when we are natural?
I want to be like that, a lone star in all of its light, inspired by nothing but itself and the creation of its being. I want to be the item the moon shines upon, that one thing everyone wants to take a photo of.
But, alas, at this point our world is much too occupied by the fake.

The sound of rain pouring was distant, a soft background noise. The skies were painted in grayscale, dark clouds and soft monotone colors. Even with this, the magnificence of it was still very prominent.
She sat at the windowsill by her bedside, staring indifferently at the mellow world. She felt solem, it was one of those times where one doesn’t have a reason to be sad but they do.
The feeling of melancholy, a pool of cold slowly filling her body as she pondered every little thing and nothing at all.
It was just another day.

🌘🌗🌖🌕
Death is but a temporary parting from the physical being. The mind gets nonaligned with the physicality of our perceived world and separates. Where does the mind go exactly? It’s unknown, something we will never know until we are the ones experiencing it. Maybe it realigns itself with a new body and grows again in a new form of consciousness. There are too many possibilities and unknowns to take into account.

She suffered the same fate as those before her, eternal incompetence. She couldn’t understand, she didn’t choose it, she was born slowly and painfully.
That is why, as they touched her more, she did not suspect anything. That is why they got bolder every day.
She is spiraling into something she doesn’t get, and can only leave after becoming knowledgeable. But, does she want to learn or is ignorance bliss in this situation?

Takamori
KUSOTORI?!?!?!
Calliope Mori, the apprentice of death, a reaper of souls, now reduced to mush under the gaze of a flirty girl. She couldn't think, she tried to be angry at the Phoenix, but couldn't find it in herself to do so.
"What is it you want, Kusotori?" She spoke up, watching the girl waltz into her house without permission.
"I just want to spend time with you Calli! You should know this!" She spoke excitedly, practically bouncing on her feet in front of the taller woman.
"Jeez..." Calli sighed, running her fingers through her long pink hair. She shut the door, approaching the living room in her apartment to sit down, Kiara followed.
  "Hey, Calli..."
  "What's up?"
  "I like you."
  "Oh my god, Kusotori."
"I'm serious!" Kiara spoke confidently, pouting at the others frustrated face.
Kiara scooted closer to the reaper, turning to stare into her eyes. "I like you a lot!"
"Didn't you say that to Pekora-senpai as well?" Calli muttered as she looked away from the fiery Phoenix in front of her.
"Well, yeah but I didn't mean it! I like Calli the most, you are the father to our child!"
"Kiara, I'm actually Kobo's uncle AND dad."
The two began to exchange the usual playful banter they had on and off streams. It ended with Calli being frustrated but happy for the company, and Kiara finding the reaper cute.
Calli excused herself to the bathroom, and stood in front of the mirror.
"If only I could tell if you actually like me..." She muttered, her solemn face staring back at her through the mirror.

I wanna use this for something 0^0
It's suffocating. The darkness. I hate it.
It's never dark in my room. Something's always playing--- or on. My tv echoes my favorite shows, the ones I play when I get scared or anxious, or my lamp would be on, whining about my electric bill. I have to have something, anything, just to go to sleep. Static, rain sounds, the vibrations of my parents arguments.
My friends would tease me over it. Snide remarks about how I'm an adult, with the mindset of a child.
They don't understand. They never do.
He comes in the silence. In the dark corners of my room. And when he comes so do they.
And they know everything.
Who you are.
If you're alone.
How many family members are home.
Your worst fears.
If your window is open.
Is it?
You should close it.
They know about that thing behind you.
Don't turn around

Second Amesame short:
Partial
Amelia glanced down at the sleeping shark in her lap, Gura's soft highlighted hair a mess in the dim light glowing from the tv. The detective has no clue what time it is, instead of checking she focused on the shark girl beneath her. Snowy white hair with blue dashes, sharp razor-like teeth, her mouth forming a soft smile with her lips parted partially. The shark girl was petite, small enough to be picked up effortlessly and carried around like a child, with ocean blue eyes that radiated warmth and comfort, finally with her shark tail swaying slowly behind her Amelia glanced away.
This girl was Amelia's safe place, the way she calms her down is amazing, who knew such a goofy shark could hold a sobbing woman in her arms and work her down from an anxiety attack? She was Amelia's shark, the time traveler wanted nothing more than for that to be true. She wanted Gura to be hers, but she wasn't, they were best friends and coworkers.
"Ame..." Gura mumbled out the girls name while shifting a bit, glazed ocean eyes slowly opening. "Hey stinky," she murmured as she shifted up so she could look at the detective.
Amelia stared, unable to believe how perfect the girl looked in every state. Gura wrapped her arms around Amelia and snuggled her face into the taller girls neck, sliding up onto her lap fully. Soft breaths on bare skin sent shivers down the detective's spine.
"Hi there Goombus," Amelia breathed out, shakily smiling while wrapping her arms around the shark cautiously.
Gura sighed softly, holding her detective, and said something that Amelia had to ask her to repeat.
   "I've noticed."
   "Huh?"
"I've noticed you watching me, Amelia."
The detective went stiff, feeling dread pool into her stomach as she felt Gura pulling away to stare into her eyes. "You... You have?"
"Of course I have, I watch you too."
Holy shit. Amelia stared wide-eyed at the girl in front of her, who was smiling cockily and slowly leaning closer to her face.
"And what reason do you have to watch me?" Amelia breathed out, her chest tightening in anticipation at how close Gura had her face to hers now.
"Let me show you, Watson..." Gura spoke, eyes flickering to Amelia's lips and coming so close that they could feel each other's breath on their face, if they leaned just a bit closer they would-
"UH JUST KIDDING SORRY!" Gura seemed to come to her senses as she pulled away, jumping off of the couch and running down the hall and out of the room, leaving a shocked and blushing Amelia in her spot on the couch, frozen and flustered.
Gura covered her face as she closed her door and slid down it, flushed from embarrassment.
"Oh shoot..." She hissed out, feeling her whole face burn, regretting the moment she felt brave in fear of it ruining what they have.

I’ll post my quick shorts here too just for the hell of it
Here’s the first one:
Simplicity (Amesame)
All Gura could think of while she watched her best friend play a game was how gorgeous her eyes were. The pale blue, almost like clear water, transparent and straight forward, with the soft violet hue blended in, Gura was entranced. She couldn't look away from the detective at all, with the shoulder-lenth blonde hair that looked like it would be soft to the touch, and her freckles sprinkled across the bridge of her nose. She watched Amelia's hands, long elegant fingers playing the keys on the keyboard, from the way she sat to the way she spoke, Gura was hypnotized by this girl.
It was then that Amelia glanced at the shark girl, noticing her stare, and speaking up. "Hey stinky, wanna take a photo so you can look at that too?" She spoke, her soft voice playful, causing the other girls face to flush bright red as she quickly looked away.
"I wasn't staring, I'm just watching the screen doofus." She hurriedly said, now unable to look at the detective.
"If that's the case, then why aren't you looking at me while saying it?" The time travelor spoke, shifting in her seat to show a cheeky smirk and teasing eyes.
Gura, who had turned to look at her to attempt to cover it up, now only opened and closed her mouth, fishing for an answer that didn't make her look like a creep who had been intensely staring at the other, but was unable to think of one.
Amelia watched this happen in satisfaction, then curiosity sparked in her eyes, she had caught the smaller girl looking at her like she had done to her so many times. Now, she thought of a possibility, maybe the shark felt the same way as she did? Amelia watched Gura, her stammering and made a decision. If this doesnt work... If I'm wrong about this... She didn't want to consider a negative change in their relationship, but even with those doubts, she moved.
Amelia no longer payed her game any mind, getting up from where she sat in the computer chair, and approaching Gura, who sat on the bed behind them. Gura, now with a confused expression on her face, watched the detective sit down next to her. Amelia examined the look on the sharks face, finding it cute how her eyebrows furrowed, her lips pursed slightly, and her ocean blue eyes stared with questions swimming in them. Amelia couldnt help herself, she reached out and ruffled the Atlanteans soft white hair, the blue streaks messily surrounding her round, childlike features.
Gura smiled as she leaned into her touch, her eyes closing and her shark tail softly thumping against blankets. Amelia was enamoured with this girl, she knew she was whipped, you could even say in love. She smiled gently at the cuddly shark before her, finally deciding she was going to say something.
"Hey, Gura..." She spoke up, her voice quiet and shaky, "Can I tell you something?"
The shark girl opened her eyes, noticing her detectives nervous demeanor, and smiled, "Yeah, of course you can, Watson!"
"I just want you to know, uh, what I think of you." The shark girl seemed to have question marks pop up around her head. Amelia took a deep breath, she was already past the point of worrying, now she had to do it.
"You make every day worthwhile, and you make me happy. Your adorable, painfully cute, and kind and loveable and you take care of me whenever I need help. Even when I don't ask for it." With every sentence, she seemed to gain speed and confidence, "What Im trying to say here is that I like you Gura. As more than a friend. I want you to be MY shark, and my shark only."
Gura was shocked, sitting there, as red as a tomato. She absorbed the information being told to her, and slowly realised that this was her chance. Her chance to love the detective and be loved back.
"I like you too, Watson." She spoke, a soft whisper, barely audible but still heard by the only person who was meant to hear it.
