Nature

Focused on Nature and the Natural

Think of traveling amongst towering trees, flowing water, gardening, watching flowers grow, or staring up at the stars. Maybe they’re breathing life back into Mandalore or it was never destroyed, exploring new planets to expand their empire and taking in the wildlife, or simply lying in a meadow watching the clouds float by.

Journeys

The adventure of going places, known or unknown

Exploring distant frontiers, new planets, going where no Mandalorian or Jedi has gone before! These are the voyages of Tarre Vizsla going… somewhere. What obstacles are encountered, what bonds, alliances, and enemies are made? Why are they even doing this?

Come Again

Reincarnation, ghosts, loops, and a lil time travel for spice.

A little application of this and that and oh look here we are again. Time travel, reincarnation, time loops, and ghostly apparitions are all a go under this prompt. Is the darksaber haunted or does the new Mand’alor have armor that seems a slight bit too familiar?

Alternate Universe

Free day! Alternate Universe, or a different prompt!

Modern AUs, Historical AUs, another time travel AU? Who knows! Go wild! There are countless universes and we want to see them all.

Shades of Grey

Nothing is simple, and things are Complicated, for everyone

Light and Dark, before and after, beginnings and ends, Mandalorian and Jedi, and everything in between. Is there balance, chaos, harmony, or some mixture? The good and the bad, the angst before the happy fluffy bits, or maybe the fluff before the angst. Everything is muddled somehow.

Once Upon A Time

Fairy tales, magic, myths, legends, and history A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away there once was…something. Maybe a fairy god Mandalorian helps a wayward padawan, a sorcerer lives in the woods, or long ago deities rained down fire from the sky. Magic, history, and legend intertwine. Will someone pull the darksaber from the stone?

Culture, Community, and Bonds

The bonds created through tradition and connection

Clans, creche, family, verd’e, and vod’e. Traditions passed down through generations or to welcome someone in, a full meal together near the hearth, or meditating in the Room of a Thousand Fountains. Strong together, apart, and through the ages. Or not, if you so choose.

Alternative Prompts

Fluff and Stuff

For the fluffy and soft prompt bunnies! Soft moments, something silly and fun. No angsty thoughts to be found (or, maybe a little to make the fluff even better!)

Angst Angst Angst

For the ideas that made you say ‘Ow. I want it.’ Sometimes, the most appealing path is the one lined with thorns, and you are the brave adventurer who wants to walk it; other times, the plot bunnies tripped you and you’re tumbling down it head-first. Either way, this is for you.

Chaos 

Confusion, explosions, crack fic, and did I mention chaos? Force osik is absolutely a thing and we encourage it as well.

Just your friendly event mods popping in to wish you a happy one week until event day! We shall be releasing the collection, which can be found here, at noon EST on August 15th. We shall be checking the tag #thegreattarrepitch here for all your awesome works!

Also a reminder, that your post on event day can be the first chapter of a much larger work. So if your oneshot has somehow become a twenty-chapter time travel mess, don’t worry if you’ve not written all of it.

Can our Tarre Pitch post be the first chapter of a larger work?

Yes! The mod typing this' work has grown way out of control and thus will definitely not be finished by the 15th so you're only getting ch 1 of their work.

Do holocrons count force for force ghost Tarre?

Sure do!

Can I post multiple works in the collection?

Yup! More cake, yum

For those of you new to us, the prompt is Force Ghost Tarre Vizsla interfering in the GFFA.

Rules:

Submissions are due by 12pm EST on August 14th, 2021

The works will be reveal at 12pm EST on August 15th, 2021

Mods will review works prior to posting and may ask you to add additional tags/warnings if necessary, please do so if asked

Late submissions may be accepted at mod discretion (they will be accepted, the mods hit themselves with too many plunnies lol)

Please remember to keep works within the theme
