idk it just pmo. marauders fans heard pandora lovegood’s name once in order of the phoenix and decided to make her a full blown character—which they’re allowed to do!—but the mere concept of someone trying to do the same with an also canon character like theodore nott sends people like that into a furious rage for some fucking reason. did we all forget fandom etiquette? if you don’t like something, don’t engage with it. it’s that simple. i personally find the marauders boring as shit, so i don’t read marauders fanfic. easy peasy. just let people enjoy what they want to enjoy.

DRACO STOOD OUTSIDE your door, nervously fidgeting with the hem of his tie. Draco didn't do nervous, nothing ever shook his confidence. Apart from you.

He had rehearsed his apology a thousand times in his head, but now that he was here, waiting for you, the words seemed to graze his throat like gravel. He took a deep breath, summoning the courage to knock.

The sound echoed through the quiet corridor, a stark reminder of the hollowness his mistake had caused. When you finally opened the door, Draco's heart skipped a beat. Your expression was guarded, a mixture of surprise and suspicion as you took in his gaunt face and dark circles.

"Hi," he began, his voice meek. "Can I come in?"

You hesitated for a moment before nodding, stepping aside to let him enter. You sat in uncomfortable silence for what felt like an eternity, neither daring to break the tension that hung heavy in the air.

After reassuring himself in his head, Draco cleared his throat, struggling to find the right words. "I... I've been thinking a lot about what happened," he admitted, his gaze fixed on his clasped hands. "And I realise now that I fucked everything up.”

You said nothing, your eyes searching his face for any hint of sincerity. "I know I hurt you," Draco continued, his voice growing stronger with each word. "And I hate myself for it. I wish I could take it all back, but I can't. All I can do is apologise and hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me." He reached into his pocket, pulling out a crumpled piece of parchment. "I wrote you a letter," he confessed, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Why was he acting like this? "I couldn't find the right words to say in person, so I wrote them down instead."

You took the letter from his outstretched hand, unfolding it carefully. As you read the words he had poured his heart into, Draco watched your expression soften, a blip of understanding in your eyes.

When you finished the letter, you looked up at him, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Thank you," you whispered, your voice barely audible above the pounding of Draco's heart. He nodded, his own smile mirroring yours. "I mean every word of it," he vowed, his eyes never leaving yours. "I'll do whatever it takes to make things right between us."

You smiled at him and pulled the chain around your neck out from underneath your shirt. “I kept it.” You said, quietly.

On your chest, perched delicately between your collarbones, sat a small silver ring, glinting in the light, a tiny 'D' engraved on it.

Draco's heart was pounding as you took his hand in yours.
