Updates and Hroos || 4/2/25

For those who don't know, my mom had a stroke last march and has been in a skilled nursing facility and doing rehab on and off since then, depending on when insurance pays for it. It's a mess.

She's made a LOT of progress and we have a new goal, home by May or June. It's gonna be tough but I know she can do it.

Right now, I don't have an income other than my dad supporting me a bit each week. I'm grateful for that and food stamps, but things like bills from the ambulance and doctors do add up. I also need to pay for phone and internet, as well as rent.

If you like what I do, please consider donating. It goes back to one of the above, or something like snacks for mom. (it matters, trust me) Making sure I have my housing, food, bills paid, that helps me have more time for this blog. I hate not being able to focus on it, but my mom needs me. She's my rock. She loves my very own love for Jon, and I could not ask for a better mother.

LITTLE ANNOUNCEMENT!

HI! it's me blue now, you may be confused as to why I've been thinking of a ko-fi or some such! well, originally it was just to get more consistancy and like put more energy for myself to post more often! but, as my luck would have it I am IN DEBT STILL and have only been told by my mom that this one has not been really paid off at all when we though it was. most of what I have due is on the 4th which is super soon and until I'm actually employed this is the only way I can pay for it with my mom unable to help! As someone who ships Scriddler, some of you guys disappoint me. The fact that some of you harass people simply because they don't like your ship is fucking insane and you need to get over it.

Dear Scriddler Fandom...

I've gotten a tip that some of you are sending hateful anonymous asks to those of us in the fandom who ship Jonathan with someone other than Edward, including OCs.

Please understand that this type of behavior is not tolerated on my blog, and is definitely not tolerated towards my OC shipping friends. Most of you, this does not apply to--lots of my friends ship Scriddler and they are lovely people who also multi ship

This is a loud minority who wants to stir up trouble. Ya'll can send me the anons, I'll just delete them <3 but leave my friends out of it.

Trans folks, for the next couple of years, AVOID online surveys, requests for data on trans people, and other information gathering that you Can't reasonably verify is from either a proper medical or research organization. There will be an increase of efforts to try and find us, to keep tabs on how old we are and how many of us there are in a given area. This data is then used to target major points of interest like doctors that provide HRT and other gender affirming care. Answer no questions.

EDIT: It's also often used in misleading studies, like ones that aim to paint trans people in negative lights. "This is how many people under 18 identify as transgender in XYZ state, this is an epidemic!" Shit like that.

I saw this post from the lovely @jonathan-cranes-mistress-of-fear the other day and wanted to give it a try because I absolutely love coloring things! This was also my first time doing shading this way as I normally just don't do it but it was pretty fun even if it's over shaded.

I hope I did both Jonathan and Mistress well enough!

{Side notes: I would have done a background but I didn't want it to take so long. Colors were picked as best as I could get them and I do apologize if I got any wrong. Also I lied with both saying it wasn't going to be shaded and the fact that I can apparently shade pretty well.}
