Mostly worked on plans and the basics of the battle system this week. I have a good naming scheme down for basic and generic magic, but the more unique spells are going to go off their own thing.
Don't want to spoil too much of the game or how it works, but the first picture shows off some of the "Tragedies" (final bosses) you'll be able to go up against, and how they'll affect the run when you do.
Not gonna explain how they work or what some of the emojis mean, but that's only because I want to keep it a surprise!

Getting the basics of map generation down... (Don't mind the assets, they're from a previous project / RTP and not even close to the final visual style)
Don't want to spoil TOO much about the planned gameplay loop prior to having much to show for it, so I'll just say that it's a concept I haven't reaaally seen done before. Hope it ends up being one of those concepts that's good and not one of those concepts that are uncommon for reason!

DEAD VELVET
Dead Velvet is a survival horror RPG I made with a friend a couple years back for the RMN Sweet Sixteen game jam. (R.I.P. RMN btw) The game features about 30 minutes of content, even less if you know what you're doing, but potentially more if you're the explorative type or get lost easily. You'll have to play smart and not waste your resources as it is more than possible to put yourself in a really bad spot. It is not possible to soft lock yourself, though. The game features dark themes and animated bloodshed, but it's framed in pixels so it's probably not too graphic.
Get the soundtrack, mostly made by my friend Theero, here.
I made the game over the course of a VERY stressful week, and I think it really shows in the game. Not necessarily in a bad way, but it's something to keep in mind.
