11x18 || Hell’s Angel

I’m sure this has been discussed already, but I just wanted to mention this creepy-looking doo-dad that Jophiel is seen wandering the halls of Heaven with towards the beginning of the episode. What is he monitoring? Is he checking that the souls are where they should be, or that they are providing power like the batteries they are? Do the lights refer to how ‘charged up’ a human soul is?

For lack of a better analogy it’s almost like a vet scanning an animal for a microchip. It reminds me of all the imagery concerning souls and how they are mined and stored like cattle or batteries to be used up by angels, e.g. how the Grigori angels fed off human souls in 10x20.

And apart from that it’s also giving the impression of Heaven becoming increasingly like a prison for souls rather than just a place for eternal rest, which was really brought to the forefront back in 10x17 with bobby being ‘trapped’ in his own personal heaven. The gadget seen here could be the angels’ way of taking roll call, so to speak, but in both scenario’s it’s about keeping the souls in line. Hannah and Naomi might be gone but Heaven is still being ran like a prison, though as we’ve seen even though it’s not allowed, it’s also not impossible for a soul to go wandering around Heaven. And it may just be wishful thinking on my part, but I’m still hoping that this is something that will be addressed *whispers* Charlie…

Relationship Status: I have had friend relationships with many individuals over the decades, sadly the status of those friend relationships is that they have ended. I currently have a friend relationship that I believe is mutually beneficial. I believe its status is stable. My brothers and sisters, on the other hand... it’s complicated. 

Favorite color: If I have to favor one color over all the rest, I would say green. My vessel appears to look best when wearing green, as it brings out certain features. However, I personally do not have a favorite, and certain colors are visible to me while they are not easy to describe to others who have not seen them. 

Pets: I don’t own animals. Or humans. Or anything else. 

Wake up time: I am always awake, so this does not apply.

Cats or dogs: Both species make adequate animal companions, depending on one’s personality. Nowadays, dogs will usually bark loudly at me, and cats will hiss at me, but in The Beginning, after Creation, both felines and canines were well behaved and playful in my presence. 

Coke or Pepsi: My vessel drank a lot of both of these, quite frequently mixed with hard liquor, which would have very soon led to organ failure and possibly death had I not intercepted. (Smiles, but soon the smile fades) I... I had not previously mentioned this to her. 

Text or call: (dejected) I no longer have access to a telephone, so neither would work. You can call out my name in prayer and I will most likely hear you.

Chapstick or Lipstick: That would depend on the reason for their use. I do not have the need for either, but I can see why adding color, or moisture for that matter, to one’s lips brings out a certain beauty. 

Last song I listened to: I heard a sad, broken tune while looking for my friend Artemis the other night. He appeared busy, so I decided not to interrupt. The sad tune seemed to come from the individual he was doing business with in an alley. (Thinks for a few minutes) Upon further consideration it’s possible that what I thought to be vocalization may have actually been a broken scream.  

Tagging: (I sadly don’t think I know that many people besides the person who tagged me and the person who tagged them, and like one other! :( So I won’t be tagging others, but anyone should feel free to do this because it’s fun!)
