Here’s a Helluva Boss Unhappy Campers analysis I made for my own :)b

I wanted to dump my thoughts out on the latest episode somewhere, so here we go.

So we finally met Barbie Wire! Boy, what a ride.

I'd been pretty excited to finally see her in the flesh! She had been mentioned last season, and we saw her in a bunch of background posters and in Blitz's phone. We've known about her for a good while.

So her actual reveal? Pretty thrilling, I'd say! That is until a certain part played out, and I was taken off guard. If you watched it, you probably know what I'm talking about.

After having seen that bit, it left a bad sort of feel in my stomach. She was blankly stating her intentions, even acknowledging him as a 'kid' and a 'teenager'. Despite him being over 18 canonically, as stated by Viv, it's shown that he's immature and vulnerable, and Barbie uses that to her advantage.

I'd felt like shit over it for hours, and the immediate backlash on Twitter had been abysmal. People everywhere invalidating and harassing over opinions, whether you liked the bit or not.

But after a whole day of rewatching and analyzing by myself, I realized Barbie and Blitz are incredibly similar. They're both agile, sneaky, manipulative, and straight up assholes. Even if they're not on friendly terms, they can't help but be alike in more ways than one. They're both a product of their own past, despite how desperately they want to forget about that part of themselves.

We've seen Blitz's roots and how his father had him perform these stunts since he was a little kid, it wouldn't surprise me if the same happened to Barbie.

All in all, Barbie isn't meant to be a saint. She's not meant to be 'the good one'. She's flawed and muddied just like Blitz is, and will 100% resort to dirty tactics to get her way. We see Blitz do this time and time again, with Stolas and in his search for his sister.

This doesn't excuse her actions at all, though. Just how Blitz's origins don't either. It just puts reason behind it all. I feel more at ease knowing Barb is just that. I love her character as it's structured, but I don't condone her actions.

Even though the bit left a bad taste in my mouth at first (and the incest jokes didn't necessarily help, but I didn't mind those as much), the episode grew on me only because of Blitzy's whole arc during it. Not only do I love seeing him in action, but I'm also antsy to see him get his ass handed to him.

Why is he suddenly reaching out to Barbie? Is it because Stolas' incident triggered him into needing to reconnect with previous relationships? Will he do the same with Fizzarolli next episode? How much longer is he going to avoid the tension between him and Stolas before it all goes to shit?
