How To Read More Quran
Every morning after Fajr prayer, I go to google's random number generator and generate 2 random numbers between 1 and 100. Today I got 24 and 44.
I then take the two numbers, put a colon in between, write Quran after and enter that into Google, like so: " 24:44 Quran "
I then click the first link which is usually Quran.com and read the ayah I have randomly generated. Today's ayah:
Subhanallah, most of the times the ayah I get is a direct answer to an emotion I've been feeling, a dua I made or just a situation I'm going through in life.
The first time I ever did this random generator was after I had committed a sin and felt extremely guilty and down. I had been thinking about trying this technique to start reading Quran more and because of my guilt I wanted to repent so I was reminded about this. I made sincere repentance and prayed tahajjud. I prayed Fajr and then sat down to do the random number generation and got 9:27:
Subhanallah! I literally sobbed. The surah I got is literally At-Tawbah "The Repentance" and the Ayah is about how Allah forgives those who repent. I felt like it was Allah's way of easing the guilt I felt. Alhamdulillah, I haven't returned to that sin since that day and it was something I had been struggling to let go of for years. May Allah keep me steadfast!
Sometimes (only happened to me one time) I get 2 numbers that don't generate an ayah and I just reverse the number order so for example with today's numbers instead of 24:44, I would write " 44:24 Quran " and search again, if that doesn't work then I'd generate 2 new numbers.
After I have read and contemplated the ayah and how it correlates to my life, I will recite the entire surah if I have time. Today's ayah is from the surah An-Nur which is 64 ayah's and is fine for me to recite as I have time this morning. (It took me 50 minutes to recite the entire surah and read tafsir when needed).
While reciting I look at the tafsir of the surah (to understand the context) and also make notes on any ayahs that stand out or really speak to me in that moment. I keep a journal of notes for this.
Try this out and you'll see your connection to Allah increase!
My first step to reciting more Quran was to recite Al-Kahf every Friday (Prophet SAWS said “Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, a light will shine for him between this Friday and the next.”) and then to recite Al-Baqarah in its entirety once a week.
Recitation has helped me memorise Quran and has strengthened my Imaan. May Allah make us those that he guides to the straight path! May Allah put a love of the Quran in our hearts! And may Allah make us of those that forbid evil and enjoin righteousness! 🤍

The most important thing we need to control in our lives to be at peace and to have full autonomy is our consumption. Everything we consume (food, social media, movies, etc.) has direct access to our subconscious. Overconsumption leads to a lack of control over your life as you give up control of your subconscious. Then most of what you think is just what you have consumed rather than your own thoughts. Your thoughts parlay into actions, so then what you do is made up of what you have consumed and not what you actually want to do. You literally become what you consume and are no longer an autonomous being. Favour creation > consumption and be cautious over what you consume.

- wrap your hair in a cotton t-shirt place of a towel to prevent breakage and roughness
- castor oil to thicken your eyebrows
- vitamin E brightens scars
- put Vaseline on the areas you want your perfume to stick
- look into the stomach vacuum exercise! performing it daily will help shrink the waist line and tone your abs

Everyday, before 9am, all of my rings are closed and I already have over 10k steps. There is no secret. It is not easy for me. It never will be easy. Stop trying to positive think your way into making it a routine. You need to work on making your behaviours automatic. That takes repetition! That's all. Just keep showing up and your brain will do the rest.

Most of you think you got your trust issues from other people. In reality, it's because of the amount of times you've betrayed yourself. How could you possibly expect to trust someone else?
If you ever want to trust people, start by building trust with yourself. When was the last time you did exactly what you told yourself you would?

My year of rest and relaxation
2022 has been the most life changing year for me. Journalling, reading, building habits, studying my religion, implementing the law of detachment & law of assumption and just getting in tune with my beliefs and cultivating a better relationships with Allah... I have seen such a transformation of my life!
I was so scared of quitting on things that I knew were hurting me but were bringing gain in some way. Like working my 9-5. In 2022, I gave everything up in my life. Everything. I sincerely turned to Allah and told him, I'm not interested in anything of this dunya. I don't care for any of it unless it brings me closer to Him. Free-mixing and working in an environment where I felt uncomfortable just from hearing conversations that were being had around me. I knew that Allah is the bestower of abundance and I knew that I felt uncomfortable for a reason. For me to continue working in a place that was affecting my Imaan, felt like a denial of Allah being the most abundant power. So I quit.
I detached from my goals and from all of the success I craved. I simply asked Allah to make it easy for me to do the things which please him and hard for me to do that which displeases him. I asked for the rizq that he has already written for me, to be given to me in the most beautiful, subtle and unexpected ways.
In every prayer I made these dua's:
Ya Allah! Please continue to guide me to the straight path. The path of righteousness.
Ya Allah! Please make it easy for me to do that which pleases you and difficult for me to do that which displeases you.
Ya Allah! Please ensure that I die when you are pleased with me and not when you are displeased with me.
Ya Allah! Please allow me to return for the next prayer.
It's now November and I have never felt richer in my life. My heart is full with the remembrance of Allah. I feel a balance and peace so strong that despite hardship befalling me, my smile doesn't waver. I used to feel so insecure about my life. I've never felt so sure of my success.
I'm loving every moment and I cannot wait for the plans Allah has for me.
He's got the best plan. Let go! Rest! Relax!
