"Not to ruin the illusion but I did memorise a bunch of lines in case they'd come in handy tonight," she quipped back. "You can thank Google for those. Now, the words may not be original but the sentiment behind them," Halley said, shifting forward on her bar stool to touch his arm. "That is all me."

Fred let out a laugh at her, "Wow two right in a row," he said. "Like it was so natural to you. You should write them for other people."

"That I like," she grinned, standing up on the bar of her seat to reach over the counter to grab some glasses before the other decided she'd do it the proper way. "Hah, sorry. My best friend owns a bar and I'm used to grabbing things that way," Halley said with a grin. Having near-free range did at the Sixth Sense did come with some negatives, apparently. "Nah, you're good. I bet you're here any time I'm not," the blonde waved her hand. "Aw stop, you're going to boost my ego too much," she laughed softly, though of course Halley didn't want her to actually stop. She'd take compliments from a pretty woman any day. "This place is right near one of the offices where I work so I'm a regular. Spent many lunch breaks chatting absolute shit to your fiancé and he's not kicked me out just yet."

"I've never been much of a jokester," she shrugged with a smirk on her lips when the woman expressed her enthusiasm over the free liquor. "Famous? I sure like the sound of that," Chloé teased. Given her family's history, she was no stranger to notoriety, but she certainly enjoyed the knowledge that Ezra spoke about her proudly to those who frequented the pub and inn. "Sorry to have been so mysterious for so long– not my intention," she laughed lightly. "But thank you. You're very beautiful yourself," Chloé returned with a smile, grabbing two glasses and then taking a seat beside the other. "I take it that the two of you are friends then?"

"Free alcohol? Absolutely, are you kidding?" Halley chuckled, her eyes widening at the bottle that looked somewhat expensive. "Wait– you're the famous Chloé?" the blonde asked. "Every time I've been in here Ez has said you may be along later and I half thought he was kidding and you didn't exist. But here you are, and you're very real and very beautiful."

"Want to share?" Chloé asked, giving the bottle a shake towards the other. She moved to take up the spot next to her at the bar comfortably. "Perks of being engaged to the owner and all that," she added with a little grin.

"You like it, hm?" she said, her lips teasing a smile. "Oh I can, don't you worry your cute butt. So, do you always have sunburn or are you always this damn hot?" Hal began. "Think I might need to go outside in a minute for some fresh air. You know, since you took my breath away?"

Fred smiled lightly at her comments, "I don't know, I kind of like it," he replied with a small laugh. "Maybe I'll just keep letting you do it. I'm kind of curious if you can fit in some cheesy pickup lines."

"I really should have, damn. All this time when I could have been making moves but was unaware," she tutted at him, shaking her head. Though her expression swiftly changed as he took the iced cookie from her, a gentle smile on her lips. "Halley Macmillan-Bones, the ol' reliable," she teased. "Cookies never lie, Colm."

"It wasn't something I really go around shouting from the rooftops. Though with you, I'm surprise you didn't have some sort of fly on the wall or little bird informing you the moment we went our separate ways." Colm joked in good humour when Halley approached him. She'd never been subtle in her interest, even when he was dating Aurora. The amusement became even more present when he was passed over a cookie, a bark of laughter escaping his lips. "You never change do you?" Colm responded with fondness in his words as he took the cookie. "But thank you. I'm flattered."

"You know I can eat for Scotland," Halley informed him, finishing off the first cookie before beginning the second from the platter. "We are friends, Fred. But not when it comes to food," the blonde told him, holding the plate closer to her in case he had any other ideas. "Some guy's birthday in the managerial wing, they said food was there but didn't state a limit so I took full advantage."

"You know, I don't know why I even bothered asking." He admitted with a bright laugh at how easily the other appeared to be able to juggle everything she'd brought over. "Hold up though, why would be be such a scrooge over the food? I was under the impression that we were friends."

"Can I commission you?" Halley said before taking a long sip of tea. "That sounds so formal since it's my baby sister I'm talking to but asking you to make me some art also sounds forceful so I dunno which one is better," she chuckled, putting the cup down. "Every time I come over here I get so jealous of your walls, so I think I just need some in my room that screams Stella made this, y'know?"

"Nope. All good, thanks," Hal said as she dumped the plates onto the table in front of her and began to bite into a cookie. "Well good, I definitely can get through all this and more. I'm trying to get it into my mouth, and talking to you is not helping that situation," she retorted, shoving the rest of it in her mouth and chewing her way through it. "Before you ask," the blonde began through crumby lips, "No, you can't have any and no there isn't any more."

"Do you need a hand with... well all that?" Fred asked when he saw the plates of treats the woman was carrying. "I'm not assuming you couldn't get through all that but is that for more than just you? Are you trying to get it somewhere?"

"A little drunk? Oh hell yes, Weasley. That's what I love to hear," she grinned, taking another swig of the beer in her hands. Halley thought about trying to play it off, but she honestly wasn't in the mood for trying to play hard to get. "Yeah, I am. What are you gonna do about it?"

"Sorry, I was totally zoned out," Fred replied with a small laugh. "And maybe a little drunk." Fred gave a guilty smile. "Are you flirting with me, Halley?"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not," Halley shrugged blankly. Sure she missed Lance and what they used to get up to, but things had been pretty... dry on her behalf since they ended things. "Well no, I didn't mean it like that. More like his family has got the best bloody genes in the world and that's including our family too. They've really got us beat." Hal couldn't help but laugh, "You are so whipped."

Orion snorted, rolling his eyes in amusement at his sister. "Playboy? You sound jealous of all my past feats." He teased, though he'd never hidden that he'd bedded plenty of people. He hadn't been like that for a little whole now though. His interested had seemed to become entirely focused on one person. "I don't think his family name is of much import though, Sis. He's pretty special all on his own."

"Dude. I was waving to you from the bar but you just straight up ignored me," Halley commented with a huff as she arrived at Fred's side. "I was gonna offer you a free drink but I bought you one out of the kindness of my heart anyways," she said, handing the bottle to the other and clinking it with her own. "I don't know what it is about what you're wearing, or maybe I've had too many sugar cookies, but you're looking damn fine tonight, Weasley."

Halley saw that his band was red and mentally cheered, grabbing one of the decorated cookies from her purse that she was going to give to her siblings later. "So you're single now, hm?" she teased, wiggling her eyebrows. "And why wasn't I the first one to know?" the blonde asked, shaking her head at the audacity. "I got you something," Hal said, pretending to fish around in her bag, pulling out the cookie that had 'U R SEXY' on it in badly iced handwriting and handed it to him.

"Is that a white band I see on infamous playboy Orion Macmillan-Bones?" Halley teased, grabbing her brother's arm and inspecting his wristband. "I can't believe you're actually in a proper relationship. With a Lockhart of all people. What's worse is that I'm actually jealous of you? Disgusting," she shook her head though a wide grin was on her lips.

"C'mon you, out you come," Halley said as she practically dragged her best friend out from behind the bar. "Go, flirt. Or like, enjoy one of the things you've spent all your time setting up. I'll cover you for however long you want. Pretty sure I know how to use the register," Halley said with a little wobble in her voice, hoping she wouldn't accidentally ruin Val's business in one night.

"You really have every scenario in your head for me not liking your choice of music don't you," Hal chuckled at her best friend. "It's fine. Just something Lance and I used to dance to a lot," she shrugged. "But I'm taking it as exposure therapy. Gotta get it out of my system at some point now, huh?"

"I don't know about you but I actually kind of like this song," Val admitted as it came up on the speakers. "You don't look all that convinced though– am I right in assuming that? Or are you having one of those cases where the song reminds you of something else? Or maybe this is totally overplayed and I didn't realize?"

Halley watched what seemed like the other's brain shutting down for a few moments before he rebooted. "You okay there?" she asked jokingly. "How different are we talking? If it's like, a neutral accent I'm down but anything like your southern one–... sorry not sorry."

That was not what Roman was expecting to come out of the woman's mouth and he immediately felt a little offence at his accent. Generally speaking, he'd always found it was one of his pulls, not a turn off and it was lucky he didn't splutter that out. Instead, his jaw seemed to snap shut at it. "And if she did?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Cause you'd be missin' out on a real gem there if that's gonna put you off. Still, Wills is American, sure, but different state." He confirmed.

"That argument does not apply to mini donuts, Lara," Halley replied, steadfast in her position to eat the whole bag herself. She looked her sister in the eyes as she took another donut from the bag, eating it whole without breaking eye contact once. "Those are some good puppy dog eyes, though. Not sure who you learnt them from but it definitely wasn't me."

"Oh come on, you have siblings, I know you do because I am one of them. and therefore I know you know how to share. Especially as my big sister." Elara all but pouted at her sister, putting on her best puppy dog eyes and being determined not to waver until the other gave in. "Pretty please."
