It’s been a bit so here’s another sneak peek into the first chapter of Halo, which is actually almost done!

It’s been ten years since Pitch Black had been defeated by The Guardians; ten years of peace and prosperity between all of the mythological realms. Fear giving way to happiness that gave way to vulnerability.

The Man in the Moon didn’t falter in his observations— keenly aware that it was only a matter of time— but not even he could anticipate what was about to befall his beloved Guardians.

Will the newest Guardian be able to remind them why they were chosen? Remind them that the light will always defeat the dark? Or is it already too late?

Demo Features

Play as a Cupid!MC that’s just become the Sixth Guardian! Will you be able to remind the Guardians of what love truly means and that the light will always prosper? This story is rated 18+.

Get used to the new responsibilities of being a Guardian.

Will people start to believe in you? Like they started to believe in Jack Frost?

Jack Frost [M]

The most recent addition to The Guardians before you came along. Jack Frost is known far and wide for his laid back disposition, and his tendency to have as much fun as he can, but when push comes to shove he’d do anything to protect the people he cares for.

Appearance: Jack stands at around 6’0” with glacier blue eyes and snow white hair. His fair skin stands out against the blue hoodie that he’s commonly seen in; his trusty staff never far from his person. He always has a playful smile curling his lips. (He has a lithe physique.)

Nicholas Claus [M]

An intimidating man by all appearance, Nicholas is definitely a man that you’d assume would sooner use his fists than talk. However, he’s an overgrown puppy that absolutely adores to help people whenever he can. Just don’t get him angry— or be on his naughty list— and everything will be okay.

Appearance: Nicholas stands at around 7’2” with piercing green eyes and dark auburn hair. His tanned skin is accentuated by the various tattoos easily noticeable across his body. The hulking mass of his body hidden behind simple shirts and pants with his trusty black boots to finish the look.

Toothiana [F]

A gentle entity, Toothiana— or simply Tooth— is a sporadic woman by nature, always shifting around, but she’s always dependable whenever you need her. With an open fascination with well looked after teeth— something you’ll have to get used to— Tooth makes sure you know that you can always count on her; even if she gets distracted easily.

Appearance: Tooth stands at around 5’2” when she isn’t hovering around. Her naturally dark brown hair, when she’s shifted from her scaled appearance, falls to the middle of her back. Bronze skin causing her golden-emerald eyes to stand out that much more.

Seraphina [F]

One of your closest advisors, and friends, Seraphina makes your job that much easier whenever Valentine’s Day rolls around. Her attention to detail and quick wit making everything much smoother. Even if she’s a little rough around the edges, mainly when it comes to other people, you couldn’t imagine having anyone else by your side.

Appearance: Seraphina stands at around 5’6” with dark brown eyes and onyx black hair. Medium brown skin being accentuated by the pearly white apparel that’s common among the individuals within your employ. Her slender, almost delicate, body hiding a hidden strength.

Pitch Black [M/F]

One of the greatest nightmare the world had never seen; The Boogeyman in the flesh. Pitch Black had been nothing but a whispered rumor for years before their return. You don’t know what caused their disassociation with The Man in the Moon, but it’s clearly left a permanent scar. Will you be able to show the embodiment of darkness that love isn’t impossible for them?

Appearance: Pitch stands at around 6’2” with sapphire blue eyes, with specks of gold, and raven black hair. Pallid skin, that almost has a grey hue to it, stands out against the dark clothes— and the shadows— that they’re commonly seen in. Their lithe body has a muscular quality to it.

Aerin: Nature is one of the few places where they feel like they can relax. One of their favorite things to do is to go stargazing (or cloud watching); it reminds them that when they look up they’ll actually see something… instead of darkness and flame.

Among the dashara, how skilled is the MC considered? Do they have any sort of rank or seniority, or are they a relatively new recruit?

The MC is considered skilled enough to be a dashara but you’re still a relatively new recruit. You’re not super new, but you’re not that seasoned either. However, you do have the bragging rights of not being dead and being a few years in… which is something.

You’re at the point where you’re allowed to oversee missions with younger recruits, but not with other seasoned warriors.

You’re mainly in a grey area.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

Sabrael: A no nonsense leader that isn’t completely stoic. I wanted Sabe to be intimidating but also approachable if you needed to do so. I created their eye color first as I felt compelled by it.

Remiel: Just a gentle soul— I thought that the group and Halo as a whole could use it. Their personality is the first thing that I created and Remy sort of grew from there.

Cassiel: A flirt that doesn’t understand romance at all until they meet you. Being scared by the implications of needing someone that much. That facet about their route was the first thing I created for Cass.

Aerin: Just a character that has so many broken facets intertwined to make one beautiful picture. I created the backstory for Aerin first because it’s a big part of who they are.

Hello! I'm really looking forward to reading the demo, it's a very interesting concept. I was wondering however (probably a spoiler though, if so no worries) if the player character will stay a demon? They aren't going to be "redeemed" by being transformed or something will they? If that's even something that is possible.

I can’t really go into that, I’m afraid. However, I can say that the point of this story is to find salvation. You will learn more about that as the story progresses.

What is a dashara? how is hell organized? What are the angels and demons of this world?

A dashara is a term that’s used for specifically trained individuals within the demonic world; Angel Killers in other words. The training is harsh, and can be considered cruel, but it’s done that way to weed out the weak; or that’s what they say at least.

While Hell is organized into various levels— it’s not like our world with the Devil— with the King and Queen being at the top. The dashara are prominent members within the demonic world, but they’re also slightly expendable as many of them die (since they are going up against Angels with a lot more frequency). The leaders of the dashara are called Warden’s— you saw one, Shaelyra, within the sneak peek I just shared— and they lord over all the dashara within their sectors. (Only seasoned/elder dashara/demons have black eyes, the rest have red in their demon forms.)

Angels are structured in mainly the same way, with the King and Queen being at the top, but the Archangels are the heavenly version of the dashara… Though they’re rarely seen outside of the Silver City unless there’s an all out attack or there’s something they need to look into.

While Angels and Demons are eternal beings in a constant battle. As the original demons were cast out because they let the darkness into their hearts, becoming warped by the malicious entity. Mortals tend to tell tales of the more prominent Angels/Demons as being Gods/Goddesses respectively.

Sabrael: An annoyed feeling suffuses within their chest. Silver eyes flickering around the room to any possible sleeping arrangements there could be. “It seems the inn didn’t book us correctly.” They shake their head with a soft sigh. “I’ll go talk to the innkeeper.”

Remiel: They tilt their head. “I could have sworn that I booked a room with two beds.” Gentle hazel eyes turn back to you with an apologetic look etched across their face. “If you’re not okay with sharing, I’d be more than happy to take the floor. It’s the least I could do given my mess up.”

Cassiel: An amused look briefly flits across their face before they turn back to you with an exaggerated eyebrow wiggle. “Looks like we’re going to be getting even closer.”

Aerin: They take one look at the situation— at the fact that you’d possibly have to share a bed— before looking at you. “I’ll take the floor.”
