HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE
J.K. Rowling's first book in the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," was published in 1997. Three years later, David Heyman decided to produce the first film of the series, released in 2001. Before the first movie's release, four books by the author had already been published, gaining widespread fame. People adored and were thrilled by Harry Potter's adventures, and kids were captivated by the magical wizarding world, making the book a global success.
THE boy who lived
Harry was an orphan who lived with his aunt and uncle, the Dursleys. He was mistreated and bullied by his relatives, who never revealed his identity or the circumstances of his parents' deaths to him. On his 11th birthday, Harry received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but his uncle refused to let him read it. One day, Hagrid, the gamekeeper of Hogwarts, visited Harry and revealed that he was a wizard, inviting him to attend the school. Hagrid also explained how Harry got the scar on his forehead and how his parents were killed by the dark wizard Voldemort, who sought to dominate the wizarding and muggle worlds with his dark powers. Harry also learned that the dark lord wanted to kill him, but due to his parents' sacrifice, he was unable to do so and lost.
Harry joined Hogwarts and was put into Gryffindor house he was surprised by the fact that everyone knew him already and he was famous in the wizarding world as “the boy who lived”
There were four houses in Hogwarts where the students were placed. Harry was put into Gryffindor, where he made friends with Ron and Hermione. Harry's life changed completely after joining Hogwarts, transforming from a young, simple boy into a young wizard. He quickly adapted to the changes and became the center of attention for both students and professors. In his first year of school, Harry tackled a fully grown mountain troll, learned to play Quidditch, mastered spells, and participated in a thrilling "live" game of chess. However, his life takes a dramatic and challenging turn when he finds out about the mysterious Philosopher's Stone and how the dark lord, Voldemort, is not completely dead and can return.
Joining forces with his friends Ron and Hermione, Harry went on a mission to unveil who was trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone and why. At first, he suspected Professor Snape but later discovered that Voldemort had planned to steal the Stone to make the Elixir of life.Voldemort ordered his follower Professor Quirinus Quirrell to steal the Stone. Harry realized that Snape had been trying to protect him all along, and he confronted Quirrell, surviving a deadly encounter with Lord Voldemort, who had possessed Quirrell and appeared as a ghastly face on the back of Quirrell's head. Due to the protection charm from his mother, Harry survived, and Professor Quirrell turned into dust when he encountered Harry Potter. When Quirrell died, Voldemort was unable to make a physical form and fled.
During this deadly adventure, Harry's friend Ron was heavily injured while playing wizard's chess and was later taken to the hospital by Hermione. After the encounter with Voldemort, Harry fainted.Voldemort fled, Albus Dumbledore descended into the chambers and found Harry unconscious. Harry recovered in the school infirmary, where Dumbledore told him that the Stone had been destroyed to prevent misuse and that Ron and Hermione were safe. Dumbledore also revealed how Harry's mother's sacrifice had placed a love-based protection against Voldemort on him. However, he warned Harry that there were other ways for Voldemort to return and that he was not dead.
At the end of the first school year, Gryffindor won the house cup thanks to the extra points earned by Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville. Dumbledore awarded Gryffindor the victory after Harry, Ron, and Hermione saved the school from Professor Quirrell and Voldemort.
