I was trying to swim everyday during the trip and Kiev essentially ruined that because of their weird law of requiring a medical fitness test prior to swimming. I really liked the metro in Kiev. They had an up to date system with paylesss contact cards just like the underground in London. None of my cards worked here though, so I had to buy little tokens; like the “Zhatons” in the St Petersburg metro system. It was 5 Hyrvnia a token, so that worked out at 14p a ride. So that was pretty cost effective.
