the sims community deserves to have better people in it, but we can't be all uwu about our love of the game if we don't know and recognize the toxicity going on and do something about it. i'm not one for prayer, so i'll be keeping bucky in my thoughts and hope he gets better. nobody deserves to be harassed and abused. online or anywhere.

SIMBLR CANNOT STAY SILENT ANY LONGER ABOUT BULLIES.

The TRANS MAN (Bucky) that Cowbuild misgendered and deadnamed....who Cowbuild has continually insisted is me, and doesn't exist. [When there is PLENTY of evidence otherwise] has been constantly harrassed by anon haters since coming out and speaking his part about how Cowbuild abused him. Because it IS abuse. Bucky was vulnerable with the community and spoke openly about having a very rare disease that makes him vulnerable to wanting to hurt themselves. He shared how Cowbuild's words DEEPLY affected him. He shared how he wants Cowbuild to remove the transphobic and hateful comments. And he stood up against his bully and abuser. Then, he comes to this community, a community he thinks will understand what he has gone through, and he makes a simple request for help using a gofundme in relation to two sick puppies. He offers, the ENTIRE TIME to provide proof if needed, and tells people they don't have to give if they don't want to. One of his puppies ends up passing away, which is a heartbreaking thing for any pet owner to go through. Again, he offers proof of this.

Instead of understanding, he gets CONSTANT hateful comments in his ask box, with people using anons and burner accounts. People accusing him of trying to scam for money using a fake story. And even people telling him to hurt himself, and suggesting ways to take his life. All while simblr was silent.

This is the lowest the community has ever come. I have been reblogging, and tagging, and screaming and trying to get people to listen and only a few people have had the nerve to remotely say anything. I am making this post hoping it's becauase people don't understand the situation, rather than they don't care because it doesn't "effect" them. The most recent post on bucky's (@victimofcowbuild's) tumblr is written by his husband. Because Bucky cannot post at the moment. Because they attempted to harm themselves last night and are not mentally able to handle being on tumblr. I am not going to go into the details of WHAT happened, but I do want simblr to know that between all of the anon hate, and people not speaking up and telling the bullies to stop it this is the result. The breaking point came when someone decided to circumvent Bucky's ask box and send an ask to @littleblackbooksims calling Bucky a scammer. Bucky then posted a screenshot of their vet bill, leaving the name of the vet uncensored. Telling people they could call the vet's office and confirm if a dog with the name "Fleetwood" was treated there. I have confirmation from Bucky's husband that the vet's office was spammed with harrassing calls. The vet's office has record of this, and is keeing record of it. Bucky's husband also allowed us [bucky's friends] to make statements trying to raise awareness in the community as long as we were respectful. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THESE ANON ACCOUNTS AND ASKS THAT HAVE BEEN PESTERING BUCKY ARE PART OF THE PRO-PAYWALL MAFIA GROUP THAT WE EXPOSED. 1) Because Bucky did not receive anon hate until he started calling out Cowbuild and sharing his story. 2) Because some of these SAME accounts that have been circumventing anon asks being turned off are the same accounts that tried to blackmail me and bully me when I spoke out. They have been harrassing me for a while now. 3) Because this is the M.O of the paywalling side of the argument. I have been dealing with anon/sock account shit for almost 2 years now.

I AM BEGGING YOU SIMBLR, PLEASE REBLOG AND SHARE THIS. LET THE COMMUNITY KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT OKAY. THIS IS NO LONGER PAYWALLS VS NO PAYWALLS. THIS IS NOT CREATOR VS CONSUMER. THIS IS NOT ALPHA VS MAXIS. THIS IS NOT POINTLESS DRAMA. THIS IS SOMEONE'S LIFE ALMOST ENDING BECAUSE TOXIC ASS PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY DECIDED TO HIDE BEHIND ANON ASKS AND SOCK ACCOUNTS AND BULLY THEM.

You can hate me and what I stand for, you can not care about CC, you can think simblr drama is fucking pointless. But this is not drama. This is someone's life being put in danger because of fucking internet bullies. And we need to put a stop to it and show support and awareness. Please. Patreon Sims CC Tracking - (trying to) help you understand the situation

I know the situation is alarming, and you want to act and judge quickly but I’d like to take a few minutes to help you understand the situation better and easier, as I see people panicking and unpledging from every creator, even without understanding what it is about. Your safety is the first, there is no doubt in that, there is a good post that summarizes how to safely pledge on patreon and what info creators see when you pledge to them. Please do read it and make changes to your information if needed!

Not gonna lie, I don’t have very big knowledge on tracking, haven’t heard about it till a few days ago, I have no idea how it works exactly, I gathered all my knowledge after reading this post and its replies, so correct me if I am wrong. I still want to share my knowledge though to help to understand it better.

Now the part I want to clarify, probably 95% of sims 4 content creators don’t track or doxx you!!

Who probably does it then? And how? You might be aware, that sadly quite a few people paywall their content forever, using NO early access, only so called exclusive content! Since these contents are not available unless you pay, there is a chance some people will reupload them for others! To prevent this, these creators put trackers to their downloads to see, who reuploads their content! Very important to mention, that these downloads are always personalized, sent you in DMs or in privately. Trackers only work if they are in individual downloads, not in a download file in a post that is accessible to all the patrons. I am no way saying that creators who send you their stuff in DMs all put trackers of course, but it is the only way to do so, so I warn you to be cautious with these types of methods of sharing content!

I am making this post to prevent us - who play by the rules, safe to download from, doing only early access - getting involved and put into the same bag as these ‘creators’ mentioned above. It honestly makes me super sad and angry to see that a few bad apples could spoil the whole bunch, and make us all look bad. Please be careful who you support!!

Early Access Creators - YOU CANNOT SIT THE FENCE THIS TIME. :|

Look, I love y'all. I know you don't want to participate in so-called "drama" because you think it's messy and shit. I get that, I do. But here's the deal. Cowbuild and her cronies are making the whole patreon method of dealing with the sims look bad, and that affects YOU guys too.

Because of these bad apples, there are some people questioning if patreon is safe. Especially because Anto is involved, and he USED TO BE EARLY ACCESS.

You guys need to join in on calling this out and saying "No. This is not okay. We do not accept it, and we do not want this to be part of our community." I and others have tried to explain that these bad apples don't spoil the whole bunch, but when y'all choose to be silent on the issue, you don't help your case. So now is the time to speak up. You don't have to make your own post even. Just REBLOGGING what's already been shared is enough.

I really think we should stop speaking on the issues with patreon exclusive content in this community from a “Violating EA’s TOS” standpoint and instead from a “We have an obligation as a community to not take advantage of each other and our love for this game” standpoint, because, at the end of the day, it’s fuck corps 24/7 and the point of this community is to enjoy the game together, not to commodify our enjoyment of it.
