I know you know who I am + A vision in blue
- Next To Normal (2025)
Everyone has been drawing this shot of Gabe, so obviously I wanted to join the club. But I was sad Natalie didn't get the same attention, so that needed to be amended. And then her hair probably took more time than the rest of both of them combined. Still a delight!
I've loved this show since I saw it opening night on Broadway in 2009, and I got to see this production live last year. And now the PBS recording of it is my new hyperfixation. Highly recommend it, but be warned: it tackles very heavy mental health topics. Be safe, take care of yourself. ♥
All my love to Jack Wolfe and Eleanor Worthington-Cox for portraying these characters so wonderfully.

Asemic writing art research
I'm doing an art research project for my master's degree, where I've made a ton of art pieces featuring asemic writing - aka writing with no linguistic meaning. It would help me out a TON if you could take a look at this survey I've made, and rate the images according to certain terms.
You get to look at pictures and click buttons to tell me when you think of them!! Tumblr loves polls!! ♥

If you don't have time or energy for going through all that, please share this around! The more responses, the bigger sample size, the better science!!
(Also if you run out of energy, please just scroll to the bottom and hit "submit", rather than abandoning it! It's ok if you have to half-ass it!)
Regardless, I hope you have a wonderful day and you get to make some art too, whatever your medium may be. ♥

Just need you to know this is my new favourite description of this. It's actually an absolutely gorgeous comparison. Mimicking language, feeling like it should be understandable, but it's really just gibberish.

Mixed media on A3 watercolour paper.
I've been doing an art project with asemic (wordless) writing for the past 5 weeks. Still have some weeks left to make more.
The first batch (1-11) is explorations on what makes something look like writing (and when it stops looking like writing), with a variety of styles and writing systems.
The second batch (12-30) are art pieces using my own original phonetic writing system, exploring different designs, trying to get a wide variety of looks that appeal to me.

Get yourself a himbo prince boyfriend who's never known actual intimacy and vulnerability and panics upon experiencing it.
Happy 2025! I spent all New Year's eve obsessing about Wicked.

Back in May someone sent me this ask, and I'm just gonna show you a screenshot, because if I answer it then it will disappear from my inbox, and I can't have that. Cause every time I delete or answer an ask, I see this again, and every time it makes me laugh.

Great feedback for an artist with 20 years experience, 10/10, hilarious.

Finally, a compilation of the 64 drawings I've drawn* of David Tennant over the past 16 goddamn years.
*And actually posted. There are more, floating around out there, somewhere. Mostly doodles or gifts. But here's the major ones.

A compilation of (almost) all my Matthew McNulty drawings over the past dozen years or so. It's been almost two years since the last one, and I do have a few WIPs laying around. Perhaps I'll get around to finishing another one. I still adore him and his work.

I went to "Doctor Who: The Stuff of Legend" live show (twice!), and at one point, Charley impersonates a Dalek.
It was extremely funny to watch India Fisher and Nicholas Briggs giving each other death-glares two inches apart while speaking into the same Dalek-voice microphone. I desperately wanted to try to recreate their expressions, and Charley still doesn't look intense enough. I hope we get some video of it.
