Kite man - hell yeah!
Fortunately, the long-awaited spin-off of my favorite series did not disappoint. We have a happy ending to Chuck's heart problems. Golden Glider is cute and somehow matches the main character. We have the delightful, clumsy Bane and the dark Malice. Darkside appears and many of the characters we know from Harley Quinn appear in Frank's horse. Literally a wide range of characters. There is a lot of action, lots of laughs and references for connoisseurs. We have the development of Chuck's family problems and his relationship with his father, the story of the hang glider and its childhood trauma, the theme of the death of his parents and the general problems of this family. The first episodes focus on taking over a bar, and then we go all out and it appears - the Anti-Life Equation. And how to get rid of him - only Kite Man can do, because he learned from the adventure with power from Villigans, he is the only one who does not want this power, and which even an ordinary, although later not so ordinary Hen, dreams of. Lots of grotesque brutality, humor and exaggerated behavior. My favorite things also appear, i.e. songs. I won't even mention the Darkside choir.

The Penguin
The first three episodes promise a really good production. Collin Farrell plays the role and his characteristic gait brilliantly. The concept of showing the path that Penguin takes to power in Gotham is promising and I'm counting on more of this type of series regarding other antagonists. A lot of cool humorous content that illuminates the darkness of the city like a bright ray of sunlight. A slightly confusing plot, but all the threads come together nicely. Ozi, scheming, is in his element. I miss the umbrella a bit, but you can't have everything. Another interesting thread is his relationship with his mother, who helps bring out the tough, let's say gangster, in Ozi. We have a lot of tidbits here for true connoisseurs, an interesting concept of Penguin getting to know his, well, assistant Victor, which is very similar to the story of Batman and Jason Todd. On the one hand, the wheels in the black Batmobile, and here the rims in the plum Maserati. We also have a delicate love story, maybe not so much Ozi and Ive, but Ozi and Sophia, and Vic also has his eye on someone. Moving slowly to the main character's characterization, so far on the one hand a decent, fearful image of the main character emerges, but on the other hand courage shines through, because in the end he kills the new head of the Falcone Family, seemingly on impulse, but then decides to fight for himself for a long time. Here he looks for dirt on members of the Falcone family, there he plants a signet ring and tries to act with Maroni, here he tries to act with Sofia again. Well, the character of Sofia Falcone, a ruthless madwoman who, after serving time in Arkham and losing her brother, wants to take over the family. The character herself has something of both Harley Quinn and Alice from Batwoman for me. Superbly played, which I can't say about the first of the Joker sequels.

Joker: Folie à deux
The first part was excellent and the production should have ended there. Watching it, I really had the impression that apart from showing the process and a billion songs, the film brought absolutely nothing and was boring at times. I knew from the beginning that the production would be weak, but I didn't think it would be this bad. While I understand the name change in the first part from Jack Napier to Arthur Fleck, where this character was not supposed to be connected to the villain we know, introducing Harley now under the same name is a bit jarring. The character of Harley is treated like a stepmother, in my opinion Lady Gaga does not fit this role at all (even though I am not team Margot Robbie). A lot has been changed, both in terms of the story and the presentation of Harley as the bad one who had a terrible influence on him and ultimately left him in the lurch. I don't buy it, maybe I sympathize too much with the character of Quinn, but still, changing the story of Stockholm syndrome into something like this is simply harmful. While the first part had a lot of action and dancing, which by the way I really miss in the sequel, after watching the movie I had the impression that I watched a school assembly with a teenage singer in the lead role. They basically turned a psychological drama into a cringe musical, which is sad for me and I hope it doesn't affect the brilliant first part.
What do you think about this production?

Batwoman
The first episodes introduced a lot of new information that slightly overwhelmed me. Kate, whom I initially disliked a lot for being an annoying and stereotypical lesbian who was clingy about everything, turned out to be a great Batwoman. I admired her fight for Alice, for equality in the ranks, for her father, although she didn't arouse much sympathy in me. Finally, when I started to idolize her from episode to episode, this terrible accident happened. I quickly regretted underestimating Kate when Ryan appeared. From the beginning, I was annoyed by both her personality and the fact, or rather the strange coincidence, that she was also a lesbian. It's not about what her orientation is, because I personally belong to the LGBT community, but about the fact that we have a new Batwoman and what are the chances that two random women are lesbians? Of course, the LGBT theme is intriguing in today's work, but I'm talking about pure probability. Even if this thread had to appear, why isn't one of them, for example, bi? Personally, the introduction of Ryan is incomprehensible to me, since we had a great introduction of Kate, so why is there suddenly a new Batwoman? I realize that nowadays correctness and tolerance are trendy, and I agree with that. But why didn't they introduce a dark-skinned Bat woman right away? I think that this is one of the reasons why viewers don't like Ryan's character - we simply got attached to Kate. The character of Alice is my favorite personality of this series. A beautifully shown change in the behavior of a psychopathic murderer, who nevertheless has something of Beth in her. And this difficult relationship with Mary, which turned into a beautiful friendship. Mary was also a beautifully led character, shown as good, caring, although underestimated by her friends. I won't break down each character here one by one, but Luke is definitely such a character who deserves to be mentioned. He seems to be overlooked, but without him there would be no Bat woman. He took care of everything all the time, he was perfectly played and created, and overall his character was very likeable. Exactly, that can't be said about Poison Ivy. Those who know me privately know how much I adore Pamela. Unfortunately, she was shown as a sophisticated and cold eco-terrorist. Here, for contrast, I recommend Blunie from the Harley Quinn series, literally a dream to have such a friend or partner. But today I won't gush over Harlivy. This character had potential, a great actress, one of my favorites, and such a disappointment. I won't hide the fact that I reached for this series for Pamela. Finishing, I'm already moving on to the final opinion, unfortunately, the potential of season 1 was wasted. The plot is stereotypical and predictable. Basically, the series doesn't bring much and I'm glad it was canceled. However, I secretly hope for the quick return of Alice in another production, or even the return of Bat women with a slightly more sophisticated plot. I won't deny that the series is pleasant to watch, but without much wow. Nothing drew me in, except for Beth's storyline. Now all I have to do is wait for your feelings.
