I just need to get it out there, but Isle of Joy episode 7 from Daredevil: Born Again was by far the best episode from the season, and---I might elaborate more later, but 10/10 episode, no question. A must watch.

THE DAREDEVIL TRAILER!
It looks so, so good, I am having a hard time containing my excitement. At the moment, we still have 47 days left, and, I swear, I will be writing some fics until then! (Starting Feb. Because I'm surprisingly busy this month.)

I had an epiphany. In the Marvel Universe, the letter "H" is cursed.
For example: Hydra, The Hand, Hammer Industries.
Two is a coincidence; three is a pattern. I think I'm onto something here 馃

If Matt joined the Chaste, then Danny could've lead him, had him part of his "army" his crusade against the Hand if they all lived longer, if Stick hadn't abandoned him, if Matt joined their way.
Child soldier Matt (trained to become the right hand man of Iron Fist---though he's never met him. He trained for that purpose--- the best natural fighter that the Chaste had ever cultivated into something this great, that they've kept loyal to their side---so when he meets the Defenders, when he meets Danny, he follows because of him, because that was what his whole life was trained for, what he was ment to be (what he's loosing himself in, the memory of Foggy fading, lost to blood and war).
----
Imagine when they finally meet, how much everything would've changed in Matt's life, in the war with The Hand and The Chaste.
Danny "Iron Fist" Rand (when the entire Defenders met in the one restaurant, who has never met Matt): Join us.
Matt "Daredevil" Murdock (who had previously been denying joining the Denfenders after Luke had asked multiple times): I'll help you destroy them. The Hand.
Luke and Jessica (staring): ???

Matt becomes Daredevil after hearing the tragedies of the world, becoming God's righteous hand of Justice. He hears the wailing, terrified sobbing of children. He hears the echoing sound of a gun and the silence it leaves behind. He hears pattering, skipping heartbeats, and the panicked breathing that accompanies it. Matt hears it all, and after all that, he doesn't come to hate the world or the people in it like most would. He doesn't fall into a despair, and his mind isn't shaken with the knowledge that the world has more danger and anger than it is pure and happy.
Matt hears the tragedies of the world and doesn't fall and become another one. His love only grows stronger, because there is one thing that people forget when they realize he can hear everything: it's not just the bad, evil things he hears, but he hears all the goodness, too. He hears the fluttering hearts of people falling in love. He hears the excited joy in people's voice as they welcome their friends and loved ones home. He hears conversations of secret gifts and joyous tales of people's lives.
Matt hears love and falls deeper into it because that is what he sees the world as--- because that's how the world is supposed to be. Matt becomes the Devil so that the world and the people who inhabit it can be less frightened. He becomes the Devil not to strike fear, but to alleviate it, to make people safe, so that their joy can spread farther, remain lingering longer.
Matt hears the tragedies of the world, and more than that, he has experienced first hand just how cruel the world and people could be---his own blindness, his fathers death, Sticks punishments, Electras pain and their broken hearts---and after all that, after all that, he doesn't spite it. He doesn't abandon God, his faith in humanity (because even when he was struggling, he still believed in Him). He doesn't turn against the world and set it all aflame.
No. He fights for it. He loves it. He becomes his cities savior, their guardian, because there was never any other option for him.
Matt is Daredevil because their is love in the world, and that's what he fights for.
