Should I use the name Oliver Smiles for a serial killer moniker? He's called that because he's always smiling and sews his victim's mouths into a smile. A. I can't tell if this name sounds good or not, B. it's a serious horror thing so I'm not sure if it fits the tone, C. There's a real person with this name so I don't know if that's disrespectful

September 8th 1964

“I can see you're awake”

Êkal's eyes fluttered, his vision was dark and foggy, he winced, a sharp jutting pain protruded into his side.

“There we go now. Get up”

He sat himself up, the alley was covered in cyan fog, every light around him was snuffed out, the crowd had disappeared from the street, he mumbled through the gas mask.

“Oh don't bother, it's supposed to stop you talking. But I do need to get it off, might wanna hold your breath”

Cold, leather fingers slipped under the mask and over his face, a bright light blinded him. He breathed, his throat burned through his chest, he coughed and gagged, inviting more air to his lungs, he felt a brief spot of pain on his neck and the mask returned.

“What did I just say? You can't breath in here. Suppose you haven't realised where here is, we're in Vinded, you can't be found here”

Êkal screamed once again, he stood, dashed forward, and toppled over.

“You think you're going anywhere?”

He slipped his arms around Êkal, dragging him further back into the alley, and draped rope around his neck and the post behind him.

“I need to go visit your Daddy and I don't want you going anywhere, so sit tight”

Êkal tried to squirm out his ties, screaming through the mask and watching his captor escape out the alley.

So here's a fun fact about my WIP

I'm writing a murder mystery, and I have no idea what happened to the victim or if he's even dead.

To be honest, I think I've got a good handle on subtle world building. I've a collection of short stories and there's a lot of small world building in all of them that the reader will pick-up but not quite get till they've read a few works.

It's a Saturday and I'm sleepy. It's been a stressful couple of weeks getting ready to move into the new house, but today should be calm. And I don't feel like working too hard. You know what I do feel like doing?

I'm really good at dialogue. It's always been my strong suit and it allowed me to transfer really well into playwriting when needed. I think I strike a good balance between natural and sort of theatrical, and my banter is pretty solid.

Or I'm taking something I've watched/played/read/ and just legally plagiarising it.

So I had the weirdest dream this morning

I'd fallen asleep while watching IASIP, and I dreamt up a new episode.

The episode takes place directly after the Berry pyramid scheme, and in dream I remember being confused cause I knew this episode wasn't normally there, but I just figured it was added in later on

Basically the gangs on a vacation to a mountain called Dusty Peaks, and there's this shot of a snowboarding/skiing track

Then it cuts to the gang being in a cabin having a conversation, then a shot of a small child with a mask looking behind a door, and a reference to the “Sunny Family” (presumably the Sunny Family Cult, but I've never heard of this movie before)

And the whole episode is a parody episode, of like a haunted house attraction

So far it's about the farmer slowly destroying the town with Joja.
