no but we gotta talk about how the way y’all reduce “neurodivergent” to just mean autism and adhd erases and harms other neurodivergent groups. neurodivergency encompasses SO many different conditions like ocd, schizospec disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, etc), personality disorders, bipolar disorder, tourette’s, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and countless others. we all have a lot of experiences in common but all of these groups have their unique experiences as well. however, when neurodivergency and the oppression neurodivergent people face is discussed in online spaces, all of these other conditions barely get acknowledged. yes, our experiences aren’t all the same but we do have lots of things in common and it feels both frustrating and othering to see that get dismissed. when you say “neurodivergent” when you only mean autism and adhd you erase other nd groups from their own community by not taking their experiences into account. 

a lot of these conditions are already heavily demonized and othered, and seeing us be erased from our own community is hurtful. often we get treated as if the oppression we face based on our neurodivergency isn’t as severe as the oppression autistic people and people with adhd face based on their neurodivergency. the notion that the oppression we face is not as severe actively harms us because it dismisses our struggles and therefore enables our oppression.

please make sure to keep other neurodivergent conditions in mind when you talk about neurodivergency and don’t just reduce it to mean autism and adhd

Do you support minor self diagnosis?

I started cracking my knuckles in fifth grade. My parents asked me why, and I told them it made the pain go away. My parents told me that I was too young for my joints to hurt, and that I would ruin them if I kept cracking them.

By the time was fourteen or fifteen and entering high school, I hadn’t stopped cracking my knuckles. The hurt more, and the relief was more. I was convinced that I had arthritis.

My parents told me that I was too young to have arthritis.

Fast forward thirty seven years when my joints take a dive and I cannot even get out of bed on some days. I take chemo therapy pills twice a week, and I have two injections of chemotherapy ever four months. I have to take two medications every day just to manage the pain the chemotherapy doesn’t cover.

This at least allows me to get out of bed and on most days it allows me to go to school. It doesn’t make the pain go away, and on bad days I want to cry it gets so bad.

The diagnosis? Early Onset Rheumatoid Arthritis.

It went unchecked for twenty five years, my immune system eating away at my joints like a buffet even though I wanted to go to the doctor from day one.

If I had gone to the doctor and I had been wrong - they found nothing - well, we would have been out a few bucks for the doctor’s visit.If I was right - and I was right - I would have been treated for 20 years.

If I had gone to the doctor on my insistence that I had arthritis at fifteen, I would not be in pain today. This would have been treated twenty years go.

Do I support minor self diagnosis?

Yes. Absolutely.

I would rather a minor self diagnose and be wrong than a minor ignore their body and suffer for 20 years like me. No one is harmed by listening to a minor and taking their concerns seriously. But that minor might be harmed for the rest of their life you ignore them.

My choice is always to listen to the minors about their bodies.

Offer to adopt, what's marked as the "sb" is the minimum amount I'm asking for the character, offer anything you want as long as it's that value or higher, including art of your own. I'm not very interested in other characters at the moment, but I'll take a look if that's all you can do.

I don't need the money for an emergency, but I'm trying to save up so i can move out of an abusive household by the time i turn 19 (within the next 3 years). I'm a jobless, mentally ill, disabled, and transgender minor, so I'm hoping that selling art-related things can help me gain confidence and, in the future, afford things like gender-affirming treatment and maybe even a service animal. You don't have to support me if you dont want to or cant at the moment, but i feel like it might be important to share WHY I'm doing this. I really enjoy making these things, so I'll probably keep going no matter the interest i get from them, but Id appreciate the encouragement and support anyway LMAO--

I'd meant to post yesterday but i felt bad in tha head woops have a trainersona it's a bit of an old piece though (May 28)

His name is Forzen, but you could call him Ty or Forz (it/he). It grew up in Unova, later moving to Johto, where he began to get interested in the gym challenge. Its first Pokémon was a Mareep named Nico, who is docile, yet enjoys fighting. He evolved into Flaaffy a short time after they arrived in Johto. Nico was relatively high-level when it happened.

Forzen's first Pokémon in Johto was a Cyndaquil called BaoZhan, and the rest of its team consists of Volcarona, Galvantula, Amped Toxtricity, and Frosmoth. His favorite Pokémon types are bug and electric.

I don't have much in mind right now for its story, but he does have a trainer friend who may or may not be his boyfriend. Also may or not be my partner's trainersona lmao-

I don't have a name for it yet, but it's a superhero (or. Well. An antihero.) AU of one of my sonas. I cant remember what i named the venom looking thing but i basically recreated Venom by accident a day before knowing anything about it. Anyway feel free to click for better quality i dont know how to work this thing

Its story is pretty spotty for right now, but they're a telikinetic/mind reader type hero, basic outline of its story is that it was a well-known hero, it had the accident where it got the parasite, everyone forgot about hero, it wreaks havoc under the parasite control, villain was sent to control it because he can't do evil science things on the population if there is no population, hero gets put in isolation basically and just teaches new heroes from its isolation place and the villain comes by to treat the parasite a bit
