I like the way that the main text is inside a coloured square, leaving the rest of the poster in black and white.

Upon reflection I have decided to change my main animation font from Garamond to Bahnschrift. The Bahnschrift design was specifically optimized for legibility, simplicity, and ease in replication in its design, so for a moving image it will serve its purpose well both in fill and in stroke.

The purple and yellow colour scheme in the first and third artwork have the same dreamy theme/feeling as I am wanting to create in my own animation, representing a young girl with big dreams in a big world.

In an emergency you step out of your comfort zone and make decisions that may not be very comfortable or pleasant. And let’s be clear– there is nothing easy, comfortable or pleasant about the climate and environmental emergency. -Greta Thunberg
One of the most direct and eloquent communicators of the climate crisis is Greta Thunberg who speaks from the science and from the heart as she did when she addressed leaders at Davos in 2019: "Adults keep saying: 'We owe it to the young people to give them hope.' But I don’t want your hope… I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. And then I want you to act." Individuals often feel guilty guilty for their little amount of actions, claiming that you are “too small to make a difference” does not absolve individual responsibility. Greta Thunberg and all of the local youth climate movement leaders are examples that prove individuals can make a difference to motivate change.

After a time of reflection I changed my colour palette to a more dreamy colour scheme. I made this change because I find the green ‘eco’ colour palette to be very stereotypical of environmentalists and. I also feel that with research, her speech is very mature for her age at the time and I believe she had a great amount of outside influence on the way she spoke in front of the United Nations.
She is at the age where she should be having the dreams of a child, however she has the words of an adult. I want to incorporate that childish dream quality to her speech to portray that.
Bold words, bold interior yet a non-threatening exterior.
