Richard Winters:

- When the holiday season rolls around, Richard can’t stop the excitement that arises in him.

- It’s not the gifts that excite him, Richard always tells everyone to not get him anything and that he already has everything he needs.

- He’s excited about the time that he gets to spend with you- decorating, cooking, and shopping for presents for friends and family.

- He loves the little break from work he gets, content with getting to sleep in, with you in his arms.

- He knows it’s time he’ll never get back, and he cherishes it more than any gift anyone could possibly get him.

- He finds himself happier than he ever thought he could be when he wakes up with you in his arms, protecting each other from the cold air that is just outside your mess of blankets.

- After a few minutes, he can’t stop himself from pressing light, fleeting kisses to your face, smiling when your eyes flutter open.

Lewis Nixon:

- Unlike Richard, gifts are a big thing for Lewis during the holidays.

- Since he grew up with a wealthy family, he uses his money to show his love.

- He showers you with gifts all month long, handing them to you with a smile, his hands sweaty with anticipation.

- “I know you mentioned wanting this a while ago, I just couldn’t find it anywhere until a few days ago. I’ve been looking all around.”

- He looks at you nervously as you unwrap the box, smiling when you realize it’s a book you had told him you were interested in reading.

- He wraps his arm around you as you thank him, pulling you into his side.

- “I’m glad you like it, sweetheart.” He mumbles as he presses a kiss to your forehead.

Ron Speirs:

- Ron is indifferent when it comes to the holidays.

- He’s not overly excited or overly annoyed by the holiday cheer, he doesn’t care either way.

- He doesn't spoil your fun though, taking you to go see the lights in the city and in your neighborhood.

- You both get bundled up, hands intertwined as you walk around with smiles.

- He’ll kiss your temple whenever your face lights up, mumbling “You like this one? It’s pretty.”

- As you walk back to the car, he’ll unbutton his coat before pulling you into his side, wrapping his arm and half of his coat around you.

- “You’re so cold, baby, let me warm you up.”

Eugene Roe:

- Growing up with a big family, the holidays always meant chaos for Eugene.

- When he went away to fight, he spent too many away from home, experiencing a new kind of chaos.

- So, when you and Gene spent your first December together, he was shocked to find himself relaxed every night.

- He’d sit on the couch, exhausted and eyes half lidded as he watched you hang up the decorations and hum to yourself.

- “Come here.” He’d always end up mumbling, patting the open spot next to him. “I miss you.”

- When you did, he’d wrap his arm around your shoulder, leaning his head against yours as he let his eyes finally shut.

- “Let's keep the decorations up until after the New Year… they’re too cute to take down right away.” He sleepily mumbles, fingers rubbing soft patterns into the skin of your shoulder.

George Luz:

- George loves the holidays, and he’s not afraid to show it.

- Every year he goes above and beyond, coming home with more decorations than the year before.

- He’s always humming some sort of song as he’s working around the house, and even loves to help you in the kitchen.

- He’s always gently tugging on your waist after a few minutes, whining and begging you to slow dance with him.

- When you finally agree, his head immediately nuzzles into your neck as he softly sings whatever song is playing (somehow he knows them all).

- After a few songs he lifts his head, pressing a light kiss to your nose as he mumbles, “I’m so lucky I get to spend another holiday with you.”

- He’ll press a chaste kiss to your lips before pulling away, stepping closer to the counter. “Teach me how to make these.”

Joe Liebgott:

- Joe tries to act like he hates when the holiday season rolls around, but deep down, he loves it.

- He’ll help you decorate, feigning a few sighs as your favorite record plays softly in the background. After some convincing, he’ll start a fire in the fireplace, your small, shared house cozy as his cat hits some of the decorations with their paw.

- “Joe, you really don’t have to help me.” You say softly, “I don’t want you to be miserable.”

- He feels his chest tighten, his cheeks flushing as he realizes how pretty you look as the soft light of the fire hits you.

- “No, no, it’s fine.” He responds, his tone gentle. “It’ll be quicker if I help, right?”

- You chuckle, knowing Joe was having a better time than he was letting on. “Right.”

- He kisses your cheek, hand lingering on your back before he mumbles “Let me help you with this..”

Don Malarkey:

- Don gets quiet during the holidays.

- December always brings back memories he’d like to forget, and he finds it hard to come back after he shuts down.

- But, you brought new life back to the month, replacing the sorrow and dread he felt with love and happiness.

- You prefer to stay in most nights, forgoing endless invitations to dinners and parties to be able to stay inside, exchanging small gifts and kisses as you listen to the radio.

- You stay wrapped inside of a blanket, pressed against his side as he runs his fingers through your hair most nights.

- He’ll quietly sing if he knows the lyrics to whatever song is playing, his deep soothing voice lulling you to sleep.

- And once he realizes you’ve fallen asleep, he’ll gently pick you up and carry you to bed, pressing a kiss to your cheek before slipping in next to you.

Chuck Grant:

- Chuck tries to be home a lot earlier than usual when December rolls around.

- Other months, he finds himself working later than he planned, always feeling guilty when he walks through the door to find you haven't eaten dinner, and were waiting for him.

- So, he makes a point to always close on time in order to be home as you start cooking, so he can talk to you and help you.

- You don’t do much for the holidays, opting to just spend it with your families when the days roll around.

- Of course, you’ll get each other gifts and drive around to see the lights, but nothing much besides that.

- Growing up, Chuck's family never did much for the holidays, so that was what he was used to.

- As you lay in bed, his hand running up and down your side, he’ll mumble “I love doing this with you..just you and me here, nothing to worry about.”

Floyd Talbert:

- You and Floyd are very seldom home or alone during the holiday season.

- You’ve both made a lot of friends, so almost every weekend you’re having dinner or at a party celebrating.

- You spend a lot of time and money on gifts for friends and family, and it seems as if you’re trying to figure out a new dish to bring to every party.

- He still tries to make the month special for you, making sure there’s a few days that you both can just stay home and relax.

- After a few years, though, Floyd gets tired of the constant get togethers, so you both decide not to attend anymore.

- You spend the nights at home, alone together, sometimes venturing into town to see a holiday movie.

- He prefers it this way, always telling you how much he loves being alone with you.

Shifty Powers:

- Shifty prefers to spend his time outside during the holidays.

- As soon as he gets home from work he’s changing into warmer clothes, wanting to get outside as quickly as possible.

- Any winter activities, you’ll end up doing.

- He loves sledding and building snowmen (even though it always ends up in a big snowball fight).

- You went ice skating once, but it ended in a lot of bruises between the both of you as neither of you could keep your balance.

- He prefers somewhere private anyway, as he likes to press kisses to your red nose to try to keep it warm.

- “You look so cold, baby..why don’t we start heading inside?” He’ll always say as the sun begins to set.

Bill Guarnere:

- December means lots of time with Bill’s family.

- It’s quite a stressful month for the both of you, trying to figure out what days to go to his family, what days to go to yours, what gifts you’re going to buy, what dish you’re going to bring, etc.

- Bill is hardly any help, he’s awful at relaying information between you and his mom and sisters.

- He tries, but always forgets by the time he means to tell you.

- He’s used to the holiday stress though, so he doesn’t let it cloud his joy.

- When he sees it start to affect yours, though, he does what he always loved to do as a child- go get candy.

- With a big smile, he takes you to the candy store he often went to as a child, getting a bag full of his favorites and new things to try, so you can both go home and enjoy.

Joe Toye:

- Joe is the only one that genuinely does not like the holiday season.

- He pretends it isn’t happening, and treats the whole month like it was just any other.

- He is clear about not wanting any gifts, and will get upset if you try to give him any.

- Of course, he’ll get you one or two, to try and show how grateful he is for everything you’ve done for him and how you’ve stuck by his side.

- But, there's no decorations, or baking, or strolls through town looking at the lights.

- After a few years, he loosens up, but still has no interest in doing anything except getting gifts and letting you make cookies.

- He’ll always apologize, though, feeling awful for taking away your fun, but hoping you’ll understand.

Babe Heffron:

- Babe’s excitement is up there with George’s, but is not quite as high.

- He loves it more than you, and will spend all month talking about how excited he is, and how much fun he’s having.

- He’s used to getting spoiled by his mother though, so he keeps bugging you to make all of these recipes his mother does until you give in.

- Babe is also constantly slipping and falling on ice, so you’re constantly cleaning and bandaging small cuts and scrapes.

- You swear he comes home with a new one everyday.

- Once you finish, he’ll always press a light kiss to your lips, a soft smile on his face as he looks down at you.

- “Thank you for taking such good care of me, baby.” He’ll softly mumble.

Quirk: Ron has a fantastic memory. He can remember something that you told him weeks ago, even if it means nothing to him. He remembers names of people you’ve talked about, details from shows and movies, and items you’ve mentioned you’ve wanted. He doesn’t even have to be fully listening to remember, either. He can be reading the paper, mind only half focused on your words as he hums and nods, but will still remember the name of the person you’re talking about and what exactly happened. It makes you feel like he’s listening even if he’s not, and it’s always nice to open a gift and see it’s something you mentioned you wanted from months ago.

Romance: Ron is very romantic. As much as he hates to admit it, he loves the cliches- flowers, chocolates, jewelry, and dinner. He wants you to feel special, and will go above and beyond whenever possible. There have been many times where you’ve come home from work, dinner already on the table and the room only lit with candles. He’ll never say it, but he tries to replicate a lot of the things he sees in movies, wanting you to feel as special as those girls seemingly do.

Thrill: Even though Ron does enjoy the thrill adrenaline gives him, he prefers the comfort of domesticity. He’s done enough in life, and now prefers the quietness of a nice routine. He doesn’t need to spend every weekend trying to find something new and exciting to do- he's content with spending the weekend relaxing and maybe even trying a new restaurant. He does little things to spice up your relationship, not wanting you to become bored of him. He does like surprising you though, but it’s never anything too extreme.

Understanding: Ron knows you like the back of his hand. Due to his time in the military, he’s very observant, and is quick to pick up on whatever your feeling. He can tell how you’re feeling by the change of your tone, or the way your shoulders start to slump. He’s not the most empathetic, so when you’re upset, he just holds you and listens, not wanting to say the wrong thing. He knows when you do and don’t like something, and when you aren’t telling the truth. There is no hiding how you feel from him.

Value: You mean the absolute world to Ron. He didn’t have much luck with relationships in the past, so he wouldn’t give up what you have for anything. He’s very careful, not wanting to make a mistake that could ruin your relationship. You’re everything he’s ever wanted and dreamed of, which he’s always telling you. He can be insecure at times, worried someone better is going to whisk you away from him, but he never tells you, afraid it’ll scare you away.

Activities: George is a simple man. He doesn’t have to do anything extravagant, but he tries to make you go to the movies with him once a week. He prefers to go on Sundays- he doesn’t care what movie it is, even if he's seen it before. It’s his favorite way to end the weekend, arm wrapped around your shoulder, devouring popcorn as you both have 2 hours of peace.

Beauty: Although he loves everything about you, George’s favorite thing is your hair. He’s always running his hands through it at night, calming himself down. He loves the way you style it, the way it looks naturally, the way it looks in the sun, and the way it looks when it’s dark. He always makes sure to tell you how beautiful he thinks you look, even if you just woke up.

Comfort: George can always tell if you’ve had a bad day or night as soon as you walk in the door. He gets dinner started, rubbing your shoulders and suggesting that you take a shower while it cooks. He tries to pamper you, trying to get you to relax both physically and emotionally. He listens, chiming in whenever it's appropriate to give his opinion. If you’re really upset, he doesn't hesitate to smother you in kisses, mumbling jokes in between.

Dreams: George doesn’t care about getting married and having a family. While he knows it's the traditional route, he’s okay with not having those things. He wouldn’t mind having a family, but won’t push it if it’s something you don’t want. He’s happy with whatever comes his way and wherever life leads him as long as he’s with you.

Equal: While he acts like he’s passive, George is the dominant one in the relationship. It’s easier for the both of you, while still making you feel like you make most of the decisions. He’s never controlling, though, and always lets you choose when you don’t want to do something with him. He always makes the final decision, and tries to do it while keeping in mind what you do and don’t want.

Fight: George is the worst when it comes to fights. He jokes, trying to deflect any blame in the situation and cool things down. He doesn’t stop until you’re in tears, fully realizing the seriousness of the situation. Once he realizes what he's done, he’s extremely apologetic, begging for your forgiveness and trying to explain he didn’t realize it was that serious. On the other hand, if you upset him, he’s very forgiving. He lets you apologize and say your peace before he pulls you into him, head nuzzled into your shoulder as he mumbles “It’s okay, I just wish you would’ve said something earlier.”

Gratitude: George is very grateful for everything you do, and is always thanking you. He’s a very tidy man, so he’s always picking up after himself and making sure he’s putting things back the way you like them. He tries to be there for you like you are for him, so when he knows you’ve had a long day, he always makes sure there's food on the table and the house is clean. He tries to keep it as equal as possible, not wanting you to do all of the housework.

Beauty: Eugene admires your patience. He thinks that the way you stay calm and collected, and give people the benefit of the doubt is extremely admirable. You hardly ever snap, which makes him think you’re a literal angel. But the physical thing he loves the most is your skin. He loves how soft it is, and loves the way it changes shades with the seasons. He’s always touching your bare skin in the morning, his large, warm hand gliding over anywhere he can touch.

Comfort: Eugene is extremely understanding and helpful when you're upset. No matter the time, he always keeps you close to him, using the pads of the thumbs to wipe away your tears as he whispers comforting words into your ear. He stays with you the whole time, not wanting you to feel alone and like he didn’t care about what you were going through. He listens when you’re ready to talk about what’s bothering you, holding your hand in his as he tries to offer you any possible solutions and advice.

Equal: Eugene is the dominant one. He makes a lot of the decisions, but not in an overbearing way. He’s very straightforward with what he wants, but is willing to compromise. He always gives you the choice to make decisions, but, in the end, will usually have the final say (even though he can be easily convinced).

Fight: Very seldom do you and Eugene fight. He’s very calm, and tries to not let a problem blossom into an argument. He’d much rather talk things out when they first become an issue, instead of letting it fester and become something that can ruin your relationship. When he gets frustrated, his voice starts to raise without him realizing, which will lead to many apologies as soon as you point it out to him. He’s never one for insults, and is usually the first to apologize.

Gratitude: Eugene is extremely grateful for everything you do for him. He knows how busy you are, so whenever you take time out of your day to do something, no matter how small and simple it is, he really appreciates it. He’s always thanking you, pressing light kisses to your lips and offering to rub your back before bed. If he’s really appreciative, he’ll do the dishes while you unwind, meeting you in the bedroom as soon as he’s done and pulling you into his side.

Honesty: Eugene doesn’t believe in secrets. He hates lying and being lied to, so he keeps nothing from you. He’s a very private person until he trusts someone, and from then he’s an open book. His mother and grandmother always scolded him and his siblings for lying, and ever since then he has prided himself on being extremely honest. He doesn’t pry and force you to open up, though, just asks that you be honest and open with him so he doesn't lose his trust and get hurt.

Inspiration: Gene needed a lot of help after the war. He struggled with nightmares and guilt, and was very surprised that you stuck around to help him get through it. He always says how much he learned from you when you did that for him- love, patience, and understanding, and how grateful he will always be for that.

Jealousy: Eugene doesn’t get jealous. To him, it’s all about trust, and he trusts you not to cheat on him. If he does find himself getting jealous, he’ll ask himself why he feels that way, and it’s usually an insecurity of his. But, he’s very open and is not afraid to tell you why he was uncomfortable with the way you were communicating with another person. He doesn’t need validation, just reassurance every once in a while.

Kiss: Eugene didn’t have much experience with relationships before or after the war, so he’s relatively inexperienced. His first kiss was nothing special, him and one of his friends kissed to see if they felt anything (neither of them did) to see if they should date. But, just because Eugene doesn’t have a lot of experience doesn't mean he’s not good. His kisses are very passionate, and he’s desperate for any sort of affection after a long day of work.

Love Confession: You were the first person Eugene had ever said ‘I love you’ to. He tries to drop hints that he likes you, not wanting this to be a big surprise. It takes him a while to build up the courage to tell you, and he ends up accidentally telling you instead of going through with his plan. He’s dejected, sitting there like a sad puppy as you smile at him. The only thing that cheers him up is you pressing your lips against his and telling him that you love him too.

Activities: Chuck is a homebody. He prefers quiet and cozy nights in, eating dinner on the couch in your pajamas while listening to music. He’s content with the simple things, preferring quality time with you without the stress of being in public. But, if he has to do something, he loves going on early morning walks around your neighborhood. He loves the slight chill in the air, your hand in his as you walk down the quiet sidewalk. It’s peaceful as everything around you starts to wake up, and he wouldn’t want to spend his mornings any other way.

Beauty: Chuck is very observant, so he notices the small things about you, which end up being the ones he loves the most. His favorite, though, is the way your eyebrows furrow when you’re concentrated on something. He sits across from you on the couch, occasionally looking up from his newspaper to see you reading. He lets his eyes linger for a few seconds, a soft smile on his lips before he turns back to the article he was reading. He makes sure to always call you beautiful, wanting you to see yourself exactly as he sees you.

Comfort: Chuck is no stranger to sadness and insecurity. After the war, he struggles a lot with his physical and emotional scars, worried his troubles and looks would push you away. As soon as you open up to him about your own insecurities, he’s heartbroken, now aware of how you must feel when he tells you everything he hates about himself. He does everything he can to make them go away, but he knows he can only do so much. He keeps you close, reminding you of how he feels about you, and that he’s there if you ever need anything.

Dreams: Chuck definitely wants to get married. He’s on the fence with children, ultimately coming to a conclusion after having a long discussion about it with you, but he’s set on getting married. He wants his own house with everything you want inside. He works a lot so you can have it, and continues working as he wants to provide and never have you worry about money. He wants a dog, a big one that he can play with in the backyard and that can protect you when he’s gone.

Equal: Chuck is pretty passive in the relationship. He hardly says no, only ever saying it when it’s something he will absolutely not do. You want to repaint the bedroom? Go right ahead. Redo the entire kitchen? No problem. He definitely puts your happiness before his own, but is not afraid to put his foot down. He’s the same when it comes to arguments.

Fight: Chuck is very patient, letting a lot of things roll off his shoulders, but still open with what bothers him. He’s one of those ‘It’s more important to be happy than right’ types of people, so don’t expect to get into any petty arguments. He tries not to yell, wanting to stay calm and avoid saying anything he might regret later. He’s always open to talking things out, never wanting to go to bed angry. He’s the first to apologize and the first to forgive- he’s seen too much loss, anger and heartbreak for one life.

Kiss: Before the war, Chuck didn’t spend too much time in one relationship. He was young, and wasn’t ready to settle down quite yet. His first kiss was with his first girlfriend- a girl from his neighborhood- when he was in middle school. When he got into highschool, he was with a new girl every few weeks, and so he has a lot of experience. His kisses are always soft, one hand either cupping your cheek or holding your head in place by having his fingers hold your jaw. He steals a kiss every chance he can, never missing an opportunity.

On Cloud Nine: Chuck doesn’t hide the fact that he’s in love from anyone. You’re all he can talk about for a long time, and he will talk to anyone who is willing to listen. He talks about you to friends, family, the grocery man, and even the nice lady who lives next door that he’s known his entire life. He blushes whenever you’re brought up, and that’s how everyone knows it’s serious. No one is safe from hearing his stories, and hearing him gush about you for hours

Jealousy- Bill definitely gets jealous easily. Before the war? Not so much. After? He’s insecure, and understands how difficult he can be. He needs a while before he gets his full confidence back, and realizes you’re with him for him. But, in the meantime, he interalizes his feelings of inadequacy, pushing them down until, one day, he lets them out in a mess of tears.

Love Confession- A little more shy when it comes to his feelings, Bill tries to get a good read of your feelings before he says anything about his. He wants to be respectful, and would hate to put you in an awkward position by having to turn him down. He’s okay with being friends- he just wants you in his life. But as soon as he gets the hint you want something more, he’s at your doorstep, flowers in hand as he confesses the feelings he's kept inside for so long.

Nicknames- Bill absolutely adores nicknames. He only uses your real name when you’re having a serious discussion, or if you’re in front of people (his family not included). Growing up, a lot of his family called him little Italian names, so he continues that with you; it's one of the ways he’s affectionate. While he uses a lot of common pet names such as sweetheart, honey, babydoll, babe, and baby, his favorite are ones in Italian. He uses them the most when he's sleepy and whiny, just wanting you next to him.

PDA- Bill never initiates PDA, never wanting to make you uncomfortable. He likes it, always gently pulling you closer and kissing your temple as soon as he feels your hand on him. He loves holding hands with you under a table, or stealing a small kiss when no one is looking. He is a gentleman though, and is always making sure it’s the right time and/or place before doing such things. However, he makes up for his lack of affection in public as soon as you get home.

Wild Card- Bill is extremely nervous when meeting your family. Coming from a big, tight-knit family, your loved one’s approval means the world to him. He remembers his sisters bringing boys back for dinner, and the way he felt when they were rude and dismissive to him and his other family members. He tries extremely hard to be polite, and to give equal attention to every member of your family, offering to help your mother with dishes and to play with your siblings. (He even shows up to dinner with flowers).
