Embargo has now lifted so I can share this email we got at work about The Rose Field: The Book of Dust Vol. 3.

The independent bookshop exclusive edition will have sprayed edges, an illustration opposite the title page, possibly a slipcase(?!), and some indie bookshops will have a POS item to give away when you buy the book, which is usually a bookmark, enamel pin, print or tote bag (it might also just be a promotional standee, but I hope it’s something we can give away to customers)

From the very beginning of the show, we had all these discussions with her wardrobe and fabrics and colours as I came in knowing what colours suited me, as Dafne and what colours I felt were Lyra. For all of season one it was her vitality and her colour was red. Whereas colder tones came into season two after (spoiler) the death of Roger where we investigated blues and greens, those colder tones. Season three was all of those elements and shades combined - she’s wearing everything she’s been through. It was a way of, for me, finding that when you grow up you don’t stop being the things you were, you add onto them.

Marking thirty years since the world was first introduced to Pullman’s remarkable heroine Lyra Belacqua in Northern Lights, The Rose Field is the culmination of the cultural phenomenon of The Book of Dust and His Dark Materials.

So, the possibly first place where Philip Pullman reveals the title and release date for the third and last Book of Dust is ... Swedish public service literature show Babel!

Not sure the video can be seen outside Sweden so I'll transcribe the important bits:

PP: The third book, which I have just finished (...) I can't give away too much because it's not published here, it won't be published till October-ish in this country.
