When I started this Tumblr I thought I would be writing a lot, but I learned very quickly that I needed a private place to scribble, draw, and explore. My journey since 6 months ago when I wrote this wonderfully dramatic post was not easy, but I had three things that made it easier. First - I soaked up the internet and all of its glory like it was one never-ending giant book about all of us written in real-time. I stayed up-to-date with news, reread history, got really into science, more into tech, the environment, more politics, more stories, watched movies, tv shows, documentaries, listened to 1000’s of podcasts. The internet was my water, fit to keep my mind quenched as I dove deeper into discovering and rediscovering my passions. Secondly I realized how much I needed people and grew an even greater appreciation for my wonderful support system of family, friends and colleagues. When Clashist closed - not only did I lose something I created and cared about but it felt like I lost my fans - 75K people on social, etc. And while that might sound dumb, not a lot or vain, I’m totally fine saying I missed interacting with all of you - a lot. Thankfully my family & friends were there for me supporting this next crazy vision. Which brings me to the third thang that kept me pretty busy - I had to gather all my strength, move forward and create again.
