I reset my fic so both guests and registered users can read it again and already I get another kudos that I suspect to be a bot. Excuse me while I go bang my head against a wall in frustration.

The fifth "episode"/chapter of my Count Duckula fic has been posted!! Please be aware that for at least the next few days, you will need an Archive of Our Own account to view this fic and its contents. I will eventually reset it so that way both registered and non-registered users can read it, but for now, you will need an account.

Okaaaaay, I got another guest kudos, so I've set my fic as "Registered Users Only" for a week. Once a week has passed, I'll set it back to normal and hopefully whatever bots are kudos-ing it will stop.

All these guest kudos just seems very suspicious to me. I enjoy getting kudos but like... I dunno, I don't trust that these kudos-bestowers are actually human (or vampire /j)

I'm thinking I might need to set my fic to only be viewed by people with an Ao3 account for a while, because while it was nice getting guest kudos at first, I'm now suspicious that with the three I got within the last consecutive three days came from a bot.

Initially, I had two guest kudos not too long ago and then suddenly over the next three days I get three more, one per day, and I just think it's a bit suspicious.

I don't know, I'll give it another day and if it happens again, I'm setting it to "people with an Ao3 account" for a little while.

they are not ever going to be friends Ever but if they could both hang out as ghosts I think they could be sort-of frenemies who think their descendants are a little bit (a lot) lamer than them

(technically an unveiled ghost from the ages au drawing but duckula xiv isn’t a ghost in that one. whether he will or won’t be in the future i honestly couldn’t tell you.)
