literally nothing grinds my gears like a character that sucks but the creator obviously loves. characters can do whatever i don’t care they’re not real, but when a character is really shitty but the creator thinks they’re not, so all their shitty actions are glossed over or never addressed and everyone loves them? i just want to eat glass!!!!

Yuuki Mishima: Goes on a powertrip as mod of the Phan-site to stroke his ego. Acts like an annoying, clingy fanboy. Expresses regret for his actions before his change of heart both in the real world (”Are you guys gonna come after me one day?”) and as a Shadow (”I know it’s wrong...but what choice do I have?”). Ends up saving your ass from the God of Fascism at the end.

Sae Niijima: Tells Makoto, essentially, that the best thing she can do for Sae is FUCKING KILL HERSELF. Ok with convicting innocent people on false charges so she can advance her career. Interrogates a 16 year old after he’s been tortured and drugged. Punts that same 16 year old into SOLITARY CONFINEMENT which accomplished exactly fucking nothing. Expresses zero regret for any of this except when the plot needs her to.
