Posting the boys! These are two very self indulgent ocs for my older Sonadow au.

These two were found as kids (Circo was quite young, Moth didn’t show up until years later as a teenager) and trained by Sonic and Shadow with a whole class of kids for years, and they went on to become apprentices to join the good fight against Robotnik, honing their talents. They go from having a rather intense rivalry against one another (mostly one-sided on Circo’s part) to forging a not-so-secret relationship under their mentors’ noses 😩

New villain duo ocs! Meet Firefly and Arrow. There’s a LOT of story to these guys already but they belong in my older Sonadow au as antagonists/anti heroes.

Imbued with an artificial pyrokinesis by an apprentice to Starline who seeks revenge for his mentor, Firefly is essentially imprisoned by the cuffs forged by Chaos energy that channel his power. His power initially backfired and caused intense scarring up his arms. Because his fear of fire causes him overwhelming despair, the Chaos energy from his cuffs reacts negatively and warp his perception of everything, driving his anger. Sent on a mission to kill Sonic on the false hope of being returned back to normal (he can’t), he’s joined by the mercenary for hire Arrow to aid in his success. Arrow ironically helps Firefly manage his self destructive power through his companionship and improving his mental state.

Some random sonic universe headcanons/how the sonic universe works in my canon because I just feel like it I guess

Before I start, a little disclaimer: this is all from my brainhole. I like taking the “Everything is canon” comment from the official Sonic Twitter as “you can interpret Sonic’s world however you want, it’s inconsistent anyway”. I, like @bitter-sweet-coffee and @authorleaandres, have my own interpretation of canon that I would consider my canon/lore. This means I pick and choose what I do and don’t want to keep in my version of Sonic lore, and add my own touches here and there. I have dubbed this version of Sonic’s world the Hope & Faith AU (although I honestly wouldn’t consider it an AU, since it’s just my interpretation of Sonic’s world), after the twins I’ve given Espio and Silver (it also has a dual meaning, you’ll find out why later when I start posting the story). With that out of the way:

Soleanna is a town near Spagonia (which is based on Spain, Italy, France, and England). The main language spoken in Soleanna is Italian, closely followed by English and Japanese.

Mobians can get the same diseases as humans; the flu, pneumonia, HIV, etc. Since Mobians have different anatomy though, the tests for diseases are generally different.

Apotos’ main language is Greek (I’d actually argue that this is canon, due to there literally being signs written in Greek in Apotos), with English as the second most common language. Apotos is also a popular tourist destination for queer people, and is one of Sonic’s world’s most open locations/communities (this part is actually based on the Greek island of Lesbos being a popular tourist destination for queer women).

Gelato is super popular in both Spagonia and Soleanna, especially in the summer. Silver especially loves it, due to how easy it is for him to overheat in the summer.

There are beaches around Seaside City, and Team Chaotix goes to those beaches a bit to warm up in the mornings in the summer.

Mobian fish are mostly amphibious.

Mobians’ DNA/genes have evolved to be compatible with any other Mobian; in other words, a Mobian chinchilla wouldn’t have issues producing offspring with a Mobian wolf.

Mobians are, as a whole, their own species. Each distinct animal is a subspecies.

The main currency in Sonic’s world is yen and the laws are a mix of Japanese and American laws (for example, the legal drinking age in most places in Sonic’s world is 20, which is the legal drinking age in Japan; the age of consent in Sonic’s world is 16, which is the case in some American states {the Japanese age of consent is 13}). Everything is paid for with yen, and rings are seen as a secondary currency in a similar sense to how Americans view change.

Chao aren’t seen as pets; they’re viewed as companions. Therapy and service Chao exist in the same sense that service/therapy dogs do IRL.

I’d say the most important/significant difference between my lore and how Sonic characters are canonically portrayed is internal genitalia isn’t a thing, it’s more like humans, so male Mobians do, in fact, wear clothes in my lore. It makes me uncomfortable that they don’t in official media tbh, since I know too much about animal reproduction lol —

Voice headcanons for the squad

Sonic: When presenting male he has the movie voice, but a bit deeper. When she’s presenting female her voice sound very similar to Billie Eilish

Sonia: can you imagine Carrie underwood if she was British? That.

Manic: Bakugou Katsuki but two points deeper.

Shadow: Andy Black.

Scourge: same as Manic but a lot more raspy, Bakugou in a blender raspy. Also a bit southern.

Amy Rose: Her mom's a southern bell, her dad's from New York. This is noticeable from the moment she opens her mouth.

Rosy the Rascal: A bit to the left of Miranda Lambert. Also more unhinged sounding.

Silver: Holly hell is this guy's voice deep as shit, like Marians trench deep, and it's raspy as all hell. He grew up in a literal hell scape, all that smoke inhalation has definitely done some damage. Like Corpse Husband but so so much worse ( for him, everyone else just gets turned on )
