Summary : you had a meetup that went terribly wrong. So you called Xiao for help and he helped you out of the situation. He decided to take your mind off the whole thing for the rest of the day and he does a very good job at it.

The rain was pouring, you didn’t know what to do, you were around people you barely even knew. You were uncomfortable.

You were at a meetup with a friend you haven’t met in person in a long time, you didn’t expect them to be really mean in person. What makes it worse that their attitude had you struggling to interact with their friends you haven’t even met before. So you were left not included in conversations and was uncomfortable on how your friend was acting. You weren’t ready to confront your friend about it yet, which made you want to get out of that situation. You decided to excuse yourself to call someone for certain matters and called Xiao for help. Xiao’s phone ringed and answered you. “Xiao can you help me?” You said nervously, Xiao took notice of the nervousness in the tone of your voice. “Of course, what do you need help with exactly?” He asks. You explain your situation to Xiao, “I don’t know what to do Xiao I really don’t, I want to get away from them.” You told him. You can’t help but feel vulnerable in your situation. “Where are you? I’ll pick you up,” Xiao said worried. “Are you sure that’s okay with you?” You replied, “Yes I am, I don’t want you to spend the rest of the day with these people,” He replied. You told him where you were and he told you he was on his way there. Whilst waiting for him you decided to try your best to be less awkward in the meetup.

Later, Xiao has arrived and he messaged you asking where you were, you messaged back and told him where you were and decided to excuse yourself wanting to go to the restroom, They told you they were heading in a restaurant to where you guys were gonna eat and you walked fast pretending you were heading to the bathroom. It was crowded in the mall so you hoped Xiao would see you. Whilst walking you bump into Xiao and you were relieved, you explained how you made up an excuse and decided to go with Xiao, but your friend notices you and asks who you were with and talking to right now. You lied and said you bumped into a friend, Xiao decided to go along with it. They decided to let him tag along within the day. They were walking to the restaurant and you both were behind them, you felt really nervous and guilty dragging Xiao to your situation, You felt Xiao hold your hand tight and whisper to you. “I’ll be with you, Don’t worry about me letting you be alone in this.” He said, You look at him and see he’s already looking at you, giving you a reassuring smile. You felt more relieved knowing he was there with you, but slowly getting closer to the restaurant you felt worse, The thought of eating around them or even being around them in the restaurant made you uncomfortable and scared. You held Xiao’s hand harder that made him look at you. “What’s wrong?” He asks, you told him you wanted to go, looking at him upset. Xiao couldn’t stand how you were feeling and decided to hold your hand tight, there was a lot of people around and the people you came with didn’t seem to pay attention to the both of you so he went for it. He ran, he ran with your hand in his away from the group and wanted to get them off your mind.

“Are we gonna go home?” You ask looking at him, “No,” He replied. You stopped walking and you asked him why. “We’re gonna spend the day without them, just us okay?” He replied, “lets enjoy the day without them shall we?” He adds, smiling at you and started caressing your cheek. You can’t help but get flustered on how nice he was acting, how he cared for you and deciding to help you in your situation. You both decided to go eat so you both continue your walking, “Sorry I dragged you into this situation” you say feeling embarrassed, “Don’t apologize, I’m glad you asked me for help because if you didn’t then you’d be stuck with those idiots the whole day.” He says chuckling, “yeah..” you giggled. You both found a restaurant to eat in and decide to head in, you finally felt relieved you can eat without feeling embarrassed or feel like everyone is looking at you. You both decided on what to eat and talked. After eating you both decided it was a good time to go home.

As you both went out of the mall you just stood there, “what are you doing just standing there?” Xiao asked. “I’ll just wait for a cab,” you replied. “I’ll take you home, plus it’s late. I don’t want you to wait by yourself,” Xiao insisted. You didn’t wanna keep him waiting or anything so you just agreed. You hopped in at the front seat not knowing what to say during the ride home. “Thank you for today..” you said looking at the window, too embarassed to look at Xiao nor face him. “No problem, I’ve had fun aswell.. I had nothing to do today so thank you. I enjoyed today too.” Xiao replied in a soothing tone. God, how just hearing his voice made your heart pounding. The way he treats you just made you thankful to have him. Made you think of how much of a loser you probably are to him in his eyes. But you know that didn’t matter to him, you know that he doesn’t care about your dorky interests and how you rant about your favorite things to him. It’s what he loves about you. As you were thinking about these things a smile crept upon your face. Xiao took notice of this and spoke up. “You seem happy,” Xiao says and smiles at you. “I like the way you smile it’s cute,” Xiao said slightly embarrassed trying to act relaxed while looking at the road. You chuckled in response and thanked him. As the traffic was bad and not moving you see his other hand leave the steering wheel. You thought it be a good chance to hold his hand at this moment. It may be cliché but it’s a good idea, you thought. You decided to go for it and act calm hoping he doesn’t mind. He felt your hand and felt his whole body tense up. As he removes his hand from your grasp you didn’t know how to process it, you were slightly confused and shocked but it went from that to being flustered as he removes it and grabs your hand and holds it, both your fingers are intertwined with each other’s too. You didn’t expect it to go this well. You feel your whole face heat up and feel embarrassed at the moment. The traffic has stopped and for awhile you can’t help but feel sleepy, the tiredness got to you and decided it would be fine to nap for awhile. As you fell asleep Xiao let your hand go and focus driving. “Goodnight Xiao,” you said tired and in a soothing low tone. “Goodnight y/n,” Xiao replied smiling at your sleeping calm figure.

As you both reached your house it was time to say goodbye. Xiao tried not to make noise and opens the door for you. “Y/n we’re here,” Xiao says quietly and taps you awake. You wake up to Xiao’s face close to yours and try to act cool and look away slowly whilst acting like you’re too tired to know what’s going on. “Thank you for driving me home,” you said thanking him trying to hide your embarrassment. Due to the fact he really did a good thing for you the whole day. “No problem, anything for you.” Xiao said glad to see you made it safely at your house himself. “So I guess this is goodbye then?” Xiao not knowing what else to say, “yeah I guess it is..” you said nervously. “Have a safe ride home Xiao, text me when you get home,” you told him. This goodbye didn’t feel enough for you so before he could open his car door you kiss his cheek, “goodbye Xiao,” you said looking up at him smiling. He replied by kissing you in the lips instead, “Goodbye y/n, thanks for today but next time lets make it a date,” he says with a chuckle. “Sure, I’d very much like that,” You reply with a smile plastered all over your face.

First time making a oneshot, my friend requested for this so..😥🥰

Omg Childe being the turd he is falls inlove at first sight 🥺😇

Childe decided to check out a good place his friend recommended him to go to

For the aesthetic of his day he decides to go to a cafe to do so

And bro's body shuts down the moment he sees your face 💀

I have no idea abt types of coffees ok I just searched this shit up😭 also childe barely knowing anything abt types coffee is gonna be in this😈😈.

Childe, enters the cafe enjoying it's theme and the soothignness of the whole area. He decides to pick a spot that he finds comfortable and decides to take his order.

3rd person pov

Whilst the person at the counter wasn't there yet, he decided to look at the menu. He doesn't quite understand anything on the menu, knowing he doesn't drink coffee much and doesn't know what some of them are. So panic starts kicking in slowly, not knowing what to say. He curses at himself now that the person at the counter is there. But the moment he looks he sees a pretty lady waiting for his order patiently. Childe can't help the feeling of being all embarrassed and being a total idiot so he panics and tries to hide it. "Hi, what would you like!" said the waitress with a smile. "You don't look like you're around here, tell me are you new?" She adds, and Childe froze. "Oh shit, okay, okay, I can do this, YOU CAN DO THIS CHILDE." Childe thought to himself dramatically. "Yes I am actually eheh.." Childe says midly nervous. "I would like a Caffé mochaaaa?" Childe says unsurely, sighing to himself not even knowing what that is. Childe decides to take the courage for help on what to get. "Excuse me..." he says not knowing what to call her, overthinking that calling her by her name on her tag would seem rude for her. "Y/n, my name is y/n sir" said the waitress noticing his struggling. "Y/n, would you help me on what a Caffé mocha even is?" Childe says with shame and embarrassment. Y/n smiles and giggles at his behavior offering him help and explaining it to him. "Thank you so much I'm so sorry for uhh, this." Says Childe embarrassed. Childe noticed her giggling and can't help but feel flustered about it. "No problem sir I'm happy to help!" Replied y/n with a happy expression. "Say y/n, what good food do you recommend that this cafe has to offer" Says Childe slowly getting less nervous. "Hmm, I recommend the strawberry cake it's my favorite actually! but the good food that's best selling is the muffins, waffles,brownies, the strawberry and cheese cake we have." Says y/n, "I'll take the strawberry cake," Childe says with a smile. "Sure, take a seat and I'll take it to your table!" Y/n replied, " oh god I dont even like strawberries.. I hope this is worth it" Childe thought to himself. "What the hell did I put myself into.." Childe thinks again, trying to ignore the thought.

"Here you go sir!" Says y/n as she plops his order down on his table. "Thank you y/n!" trying to keep his smile. "You're welcome! Enjoy your food sir." Y/n says walking away. "I hope I do enjoy it, I really do y/n.." Childe thinks to himself like some child. Childe takes a bite of the cake and struggles to finish the slice. He then notices you on the counter taking other people's orders. He can't help but be mesmerized by looking at you, your smiles, your eyes, your face and even your voice. He decides to leave the cafe and go back home, but the thought of you never left his mind.

Childe decides to come back almost everyday and ordered your favorite cake everytime he went there, despite the long drive to get there. He's tried to smoothly compliment and flirt with you various times but not too noticable. You on the other hand doesn't seem to notice this behaviour and be blind to it, but you can't help but smile at the thought of his personality and laugh at his jokes. You've made small chit chat multiple times with other regulars and non regulars before and wonder why it's so different with him. After those talks with him those days you've realized you've developed a small crush for him.

One day, Childe decides to bring his friend Scaramouche to the cafe you work at to hang out. They enter the cafe and Scaramouche speaks up. "Dude, since when did you have a thing for cafes." Said Scaramouche plainly. "They're relaxing and coollll?? I guess..?" Childe replied unsure. Scaramouche just told Childe to get him a waffle and sits down whilst Childe goes in line at your cashier. "Back again I see," You say genuinely happy to see Childe. "Of course I would be back," Childe says smiling at you. Childe tells you his order and has a short chat with you because there was other people in line.

Your pov

While you put down their order, Scaramouche speaks up "Strawberry cake?? I thought you-" Scaramouche gets cut off by Childe putting a hand on his mouth for him not to continue what he was about to say. You we're curious on what was that about but decide to leave them with a wave.

3rd person pov

"GROSS!" Childe replied, removing his hand on Scaramouche's mouth after he licked his hand for him to let go. "Don't put your hand on my mouth ever again. Your hand is so fucking contaminated you gross fuck." Scaramouche says, "What the hell was that even about?? I thought you fucking hated this shit," He adds. "People change you know!" Childe says dramatically. "Okay dipshit" Scaramouche replies. While they spend their time in the cafe Childe decides to take a bite of the strawberry cake while trying to hide his sick expression. "Dude I thought you LOVEDDDD strawberry cake?? What's with that ugly face you have on??" Scaramouche says, "You know you don't have to eat it if you don't want to right." Scaramouche says, looking at Childe.

"I'm just not feeling well today that's all!" Trying to deny the fact he doesn't want to eat it. Scaramouche decides to tease him about it and Childe tries to deny Scaramouche's accusations that he hates it. "I'm gonna go to the restroom, I'll be back" Scaramouche added. Whilst scaramouche was in the restroom Childe's stomach felt off. "Oh God what is this feeling.." Childe mumbles to himself. "He decides to ignore it but it gets worse minute by minute. He raises his hand for a waitress and y/n approach him. "Hey y/n can you give me some water?" Childe says trying to hide his current state. "Sure!"

She comes back with the water with a napkin on it. She can't help but notice the expression and the off behavior of Childe, so she asks him what's wrong. "I just have a stomach ache that's all.." Childe feeling embarrassed to be like this infront of you. You decided to help him out cause there's no one currently taking their orders and barely any costumers around. You grabbed a small towel you had and decided to turn it into a hot towel for Childe to use on his stomach. You decide to go back to your spot and leave Childe. Scaramouche comes back seeing Childe's state. "Dude what happened to you??" Scaramouche says unamused. "This damn strawberry cake is what happened," Childe says in a whisper wanting to go home. "Lets go now please??" Childe says to Scaramouche while he clenches his stomach. "Fine nimwit, let's go." He replied to Childe.

Your pov

Childe forgot to hand you your towel and took it home with him. You take a look at Childe's spot seeing him gone. You can't help but feel upset that you didn't get to say goodbye, and the fact he didn't see your phone number on the napkin. "It was a stupid idea anyway.." You thought to yourself cringing at yourself. Few days has passed and he hasn't come back to the cafe and wonder where he is and what happened to him. Childe decided to stop going for awhile due to embarassment from what happened last time.

3rd pov

"Why'd I have to have a stomach ache at that moment.. ughhhhh." He says to himself at home. It's currently night and couldn't sleep. He takes a look at your towel that he washed and dried, just incase he finally has the courage to show up again. He decided to go down to the apartment building and go to a nearby convenient store. Whilst he walks to a convenient store nearby. He notices a familiar face on a bus stop and realizes it's you.

Your pov

"y/n?" He calls out to you. "Oh it's you!" You say surprised. "Childe, call me Childe." He says awkwardly smiling at you. "You don't have to call me sir anymore," Childe says happy and relieved to see you. "So when are you coming back?" You say giggling, hoping he doesn't think you're weird or something. "Miss me?" Childe laughs. "I'm happy to see you again, Childe." You say looking into his eyes. Realizing the eye contact you both had, you decide to look away trying to hide your red face. "Oh yeah your towel.." Childe mentions. "Keep it, it's okay." You reply, "Take it as a remembrance from me." You say jokingly, cringing at what you just said. "Of... Course" Childe replies, "By the way what are you doing here? This is far from where you work?" Childe asks. "I had to visit a friend of mine, she needed help moving in her new apartment." You replied. You took the leap of faith and spoke up. "Hey, Childe.. Do you wanna maybe, exchange numbers..?" You say trying not to show your nervousness. "I would love to, y/n." Childe replies with a wink whilst having a calm and nice expression. You both exchange numbers and decide to say your goodbyes. "See you next time Childe." You say having eye contact with him. "Trust me you will," He Says with a loving expression.

You both never stopped talking after that.
