Buyer Beware! How to book an astrologer for an astrocartography reading

Many people are discovering astrocartography and the newfound interest in astrology of the place. They are doing paid readings for people without knowing even the basics of astrocartography.

Before you book a reader, make sure they look at these things:

Natal chart

Your astrocartography map highlights the story of your natal chart. Your reader should know how to read your birth chart to then read your astrocartography map.

2. Relocated chart

Astrocartography is relocation astrology after all. Your reader should be able to tell you what areas of life your planets shift to.

3. Parans

Parans/Crossings/Latitude lines can make a big difference for you in a certain location. They can make a city more problematic or easier. They can shift the energy significantly. If the astrologer does not know parans, they should not be doing readings.

4. Exact distance

Your astrologer should be able to see the exact distance of a paran or planetary line on your chart as not all distances are created equal. For example, if one area has multiple parans, which ones are closer? Those will be felt more strongly. You don't want your astrologer to tell you about a certain paran or line only to find out it's out of orb and won't even affect you.

What if my planetary lines are all in the middle off the ocean?

This is the most frequently asked question I see online in regards to astrocartography. Don't worry! You don't need to live directly on a planetary line to feel it's influence and you also have other options.

Location

You can live up to 600 miles away from a planetary line and still feel it's influence. It will just be weaker. Living on a main line might even be too intense for you.

2. Parans

Parans are latitude points where two planetary lines meet. They can be just as important as a main line. You can feel their influence up to 70 miles away.

3. Relocation Chart

Keep your birth chart time and date the same but change the location. The houses will shift into a new location and will activate different areas of your life. So if you are interest in long-term relationships, see where you planets shift into your 7th house.

Astrocartography is much more than just the main planetary lines.

It can be very complex so I am going to teach you how to do it for free and understand your map in a simple way.

Get your map

Google Horoscope Astro Click Travel and input your birth chart information. Make sure to click Scalable Map from the drop-down menu above so you can zoom in and out. 

Main lines

All those colorful lines you see are the main planetary lines (e.g. sun, moon, saturn, etc.). You will also see the four main angles: AC, MC, DC, and IC.

IC - home

Start Reading

Click a location and the description for that area will appear on the right hand side.

Parans

Click Show Details on the upper right column and you will see something called Crossings. Crossings or Parans are latitude lines that represent when two planetary lines cross. They can be just as important as main lines. 

FYI:

You don’t need to live directly on a main line. You can feel their energy up to 700 miles away.

If you do not have any planetary lines, look at parans. You can feel their energy up to 70 miles away.
