hi. ive been liveblogging what ive been seeing on my main blog, but i turned off the stars vs wild game after my stream stopped working, so using my sports blog i wanna say something;

that hit on pavelski was not clean. and even if it was, dumba shouldnt have been laughing like that in the penalty box- also, 2 minutes was not enough. even if it wasnt intended to be hurtful its still A CHECK TO THE HEAD. and an illegal one. so, its a major. not a minor (a minor elbowing would likely not be to the face like a major one would be). even a match penalty.

HOWEVER that doesnt mean anybody should be wishing injury on the wild, or being racist towards dumba. yes, it was a shitty play. a dirty hit should be treated as such, but that doesnt mean anybody should be doing that. theres a difference between saying a player should get more of a penalty and that a player should be injured.

hi as somebody who lives in illinois i have to say chicago hockey is really weird. so under the cut is something i wanna talk about.

to start us off, i dont like the chicago hawks. not using the full name, hawks is just fine. im not gonna go over the reasons simply because everybody Knows them already. i feel like restating the obvious is redundant. to put it simply, the logo and name is weird and also theres past things that are really bad.

but anyway.

chicago hockey is weird. because...theres one team. and online thats easy to rectify- im a big fan of other teams, and i focus most on washington. but in real life, its hard not to be surrounded by it. like, its the only major league hockey team in illinois. its kinda weird- like, illinois really just gets the short end of the stick here, huh.

and with old players. a lot of nostalgia is surrounded around them but i think its mostly associated with the old cup wins. like any cup win, the parade itself fills people with nostalgia. old players do as well. and to an extent, i get it. as much as i hate it. when you live in a state like this, any championship winner is great- we’re still thinking about the 2016 world series win, albeit thats much more impressive.

being surrounded by the hawks is really odd but its really all we got- the icehogs are affiliated with the hawks but even the wolves are not really talked about as much because ahl teams dont get the love they deserve.

anyway. i think we should give illinois a second team. if baseball can do it, why not hockey? also because please i dont wanna go to a hawks game Or drive a couple hours to see another game please.
