An inspired collaboration between filmmakers Peter Mettler and Emma Davie and eco-philosopher David Abram, BECOMING ANIMAL is an urgent and immersive audiovisual quest, forging a path into the places where humans and animals meet, where we pique our senses to witness the so-called natural world — which in turn witnesses us — prompting reflections on what it means to inhabit our animal bodies.

Diana Thater: ‘We belong to a complicated and complex ecosystem that include all kinds of other beings. Just because we can’t communicate verbally doesn’t mean that we can’t communicate in other ways. And so I want to form a possible model for communication through this kind of sympathetic bodily adventure. Its really important to me to better the conditions of animals but also to better the conditions of humanity.’
