“Where does this train even go?”, he mumbled under his breath.

Head tilted; he was watching the worldly scenery vanish quickly in front of him. He found comfort in the rapid change outside as his thoughts were racing equally hasty. He hadn’t heard from you in weeks but still he couldn’t stop thinking about you.

He composed the memories of you the same way he composed his songs.

First, he imagined your breathtaking visuals: your bright eyes, your cute nose and sensuous lips. Then, he added the sounds of your cute laughter and silent gasps. And lastly, he imagined you saying the most beautiful words: I love you, Matthew. I can’t picture my life without you, you’re all I need. Thinking of you like that always filled his heart with the utmost love. The warm fuzzy feeling spread through his whole body, leaving him happy and fulfilled. That tender feeling didn’t last long though, as the most recent memories clouded his mind too soon. What started out as the loveliest tune turned into the most caustic remix. Now he saw your tearful eyes and worried frowns, heard your desperate screams and spiteful words and listened to you breaking up with him. Those warm and fuzzy feelings turned icy, numbing his whole body.

He took a deep breath. “Fuck, I miss her so much. What should I do?”, he muttered silently. Once again, he grabbed his phone and opened your chat. Your picture was still there. He felt the relief as he realized you had not deleted his number – maybe you missed him, too? Maybe you were looking at your phone and hoping for him to text you, too? Hyped up by his delusional fantasies he decided to text you.

Y/N… I miss you.

Eyes glued to his phone, not daring to even blink. His throat was dry, hands jittery and stomach tied into a knot. “She will answer, won’t she?” He gasped as he saw you typing. By now his heart was beating as fast as the train was going.

I miss you, too.

His eyes lit up as he processed those words.

Tears were forming in the corner of his eyes.

When the seat in front of you is finaly empty, your friend gives you a small push from behind.

When you give it back to him, he hurries to hide it in his pocket, still making sure to be subtle.

You both try to hide your excitement, even when you move to the next member. You steal glances at each other, looking forward to that secret meeting.

Yeosang sees you even before it's your turn to meet him. He notices you when you're talking with your friend and laughing, having the time of your life.

Once, your eyes meet each other. At that moment, both of your breath itches, but none of you smile or wave. You just stare, analyzing the other's reaction.

Yeosang notices your nervousness. He's about to smile at you and try to reassure you, but unfortunately Mingi grabs his arm to have his attention.

You let out a sigh of relief, not having been able to endure another second with his gaze on you.

Your cheeks are burning, and your heart hammering against your chest.

As time goes by, you only become more anxious. You manage to calm your nerves a bit when it's your turn to meet the first member.

But when Yeosang is right there, sitting in front of you. The same feeling comes back.

You both shyly make eye contact, he signs your album and try to find something to ask.

Surprisingly you make the first move, you compliment him on his muscles and his hair making him laugh.

He gives you back your album, not letting go of it when you try to take it.

You look into his eyes with a smile, but frown when you feel something slide in between your fingers.

Subtly, he puts a finger in front of his mouth as to signal you to keep it a secret.

The moment you sit in front of San, he starts flirting with you.

He never did this with a fan before, but the exact second he sees you, he feels the need to do it.

You smile and laugh with him, the both of you totally lost in the moment.

Despite being caught of guard and completely flustered, a wave of confidence fills you.

When they're saying goodbye, San looks like he's about to cry.

He instantly starts searching in the crowd, stopping his gaze right on you.

He approaches the fans close to you and high fives all of them, till he reaches you.

He slips a piece of paper in your hand, trying hard not to keep staring and moving to the other atinys.

The first thing you do when you're out, is call him.

Mingi sees the tears of happiness in your eyes. He coos and pets your head softly.

He smiles when you look at him and it becomes even bigger when you return it.

The feeling in his stomach is unknown to him. It's weird and he feels a bit anxious, but he feels good.

You start having a small conversation, both so captivated by the other.

Mingi's eyes never left yours and he listens to every words that are coming out of your mouth.

Not even when San starts hitting his shoulder playfully to tell him that you need to move.

He's quite the actor, because when you arrive home and read the messages each one of them wrote. Mingi's has a little surprise.

You rub your eyes in disbelief. Right there, next to his signature, his number.

Still unsure and shocked, you start typing the number in your phone.

You press call and wait for a few rings. After what felt like forever, Mingi's cheerful voice is heard on the other side of the line.

He intertwines your fingers, making you relax. He then asks for your phone and you give it to him confused.
