HOLY SHIT SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT!!! I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. like it PISSES ME OFF when people are saying things aren’t making sense when it’s stated.

even going as far as to say acftl was a bad book because “plot holes” when everything was right there you just needed to read it!

it’s not really people’s fault because I know some people aren’t as good as comprehension but when the fandom talks about it a lot still how do you still not understand that the things were explained

to be honest, i feel like a lot of readers who have read caraval/ouabh kinda lack reading comprehension skills I’M SORRY but why do i keep seeing the same questions asked over and over again when the answers are all in the books, you just have to look for it!! like the whole apple thing is still talked about when it’s so obvious jacks eats apples to helps with his urges. the question of why evangeline didn’t die when she kissed jacks is also revealed throughout the series?? it’s because they both love each other so much that their true love broke the curse. don’t even get me started on the mirth stone ordeal because we still have people who don’t understand what happened in the hollow…like it even says in the book that the mirth stone only takes away fear so everything that eva and jacks were feeling for each other was real and eva even said that jacks shuttered all his emotions after he literally licked her lips (this scene was crazy) like he did in the hollow…it’s simply not hard to understand everyone!! people who still think that jacks ever loved tella 😭 like they must have such a naive understanding of love or something because what? also it’s explicitly stated in both tbona and acftl that he did not love tella LMAOO it’s so funny how tellajacks shippers lost so bad in acftl because they keep saying that the whole curse plot twist was poor writing like wdym?? i thought it was so genius of stephanie because the entire ouabh revolved around the fact that the story curse alters every story so the plot twist not only made 100% sense but it also showed that this was something stephanie had set up to happen since she started writing ouabh!!! i can’t believe none of us even came up with the theory that the story curse altered jacks’s curse because it was literally alluded to/foreshadowed in the first ouabh book by eva 😭😭

i absolutely agree, and i am often surprised by the lack of interpretation of a large part of readers today. i feel like they skip the parts that don't interest them or read them unwillingly, because it's not possible for there to be so many errors when it comes to interpretation.

it's a basic question of: it's in the book, just read it.

one of my theories since before acftl was that the story had been altered, as it was said within the narrative several times that, over time, the true meaning of the stories was lost. i didn't understand people's surprise when they discovered that, in fact, jack's curse had been lost in time. i will never understand this phenomenon.

Random moot question: What's a misconception people make about you?

Probably that I am quiet.

In real life, before I meet you formally and get to know you well, I am practically nonexistent. I will not say a word to you unless strictly necessary. So when I am seen around my friends or get to know a person, they’re always shocked to see just how much I talk.

People also seem to think I’m mean because I don’t talk. I’ve been told I have a resting bitch face but honestly I’m super sweet!!

After I know someone for a while, I start like getting REALLT comfortable and will talk about the noble idea I have and that’s when things get really fun.

wat do you think of the carmine angel theory?

Carmilla has gotta be an angel. Of all people, how did she know that angels could be killed with angelic weaponry? She didn't seem very hesitant when fighting the angels either. Also, "angelic steel isn't very common", and yet Carm built a whole empire that uses angelic steel for hell's weapons. Plus, she has the same militaristic behavior that Vaggie and Lute have. Not to mention the silver/white hair.

I think she went down to Hell to be with her daughters, honestly.

I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but there's also a French novel called "Carmilla". In which the main character uses the fake name Carmilla as an anagram to her real name. Considering that Adam isn't good with creating names (Lute - Lieutenant. Vaggie - Vagina (ugh)), it wouldn't be shocking if he called one of his angels after a brand of guns, aka a weapon. Carmine.

Edit: I almost forgot to add in that Carmilla just seemed to know Vaggie's name in Out For Love, despite the two never having met prior.
