so apparently the author of the dnd movie druid tie in was like “yeah the movie wasn’t queer but i made her aroace in the book!!! find your representation here!!” and so some people excitedly read the book and. she is not. it’s 100% word of god, the only half relevant thing is that she has no romance. and now the author is like “ppl are saying my ace rep based on my own experiences is not Actually ace rep” ---- why are you spinning this as ‘people are saying i’m not valid’ when it’s actually.....you said something was in a book and it isn’t......?

a couple of my favourite aspec books are only word of god but reflect common aro experiences & themes but I TELL PEOPLE that, I don’t just go around saying the main character is aroace without that context! please! how hard is it to say “i think of her as aroace, and she has no romance in the story”, instead of disappointing people lmao
