Kristen meeting up with her parents in Krom's Diner is funny to me because it conjures the image of Sandra Lynn, Jawbone, and Lydia watching through a Mordred window with binoculars making sure that nothing bad happens

At first Fabian refuses to interact with his and Figās new sibling but one day his mom is dealing with something in the other room and the baby is crying and so Fabian has to pick up the baby. So he picks up the baby, bouncing them gently, and says, āOne day, eighteen years from now, I will fight you to the death.ā Then the baby reaches up and curls their little hand around his finger and Fabianās voice breaks, utterly in love with this tiny person, and says, āI will defeat you,ā unconvincingly.

Iāve heard it like a dozen times before but in episode of 3 of Campaign 1 newbie Jake asks if he needs to roll the d20, and Murph replies, āYeah, roll the d20, baby.ā
That stuck with me this time around.

I think Junior Year has fully cemented Adaine as my favorite of the Bad Kids. Like I adore them all but Adaineās unique combination of being a hypercompetent prodigy, a traumatized neurodivergent child forced to grow up far too quickly, and an incredibly morally principled and insightful person, all while also being a vicious, hateful little bastard is just so good.

Episode 16 in which Mac and Donna received more of Kristenās school info is further proof to me that she needs some kind of emancipation so sheās able to appoint someone to have power of attorney in an emergency. (I imagine Jawbone or Sandra Lynn.) Mac and Donna have parental rights including legal issues, medical decisions and school enrolment. At any point they could pull Kristen from Aguefort and enroll her at Mumple or Sun Peak. And she wouldnāt have any recourse.
She needs to go to Sklonda and ask her to file a petition for emancipation with the court. She isnāt living with her parents, she has a job as an adventurer (they get to keep the loot) and it is in her best interestāher parents and her have irreconcilable religious differences and they kicked her out over it. A judge would sign a court order Declaration of Emancipation (following California law since D20 is filmed there) and sheād have the legal rights to control her own life.
Alternatively Iām sure they could petition the court to appoint a temporary guardian for Kristen for the short amount of time before she turns 18. Itād probably require proof that itās necessary and a volunteerāwhich would be Jawbone and/or Sandra Lynn, since theyāre already functioning in that capacity. (Iām sure Child Protective Services would also be involved.)
As a minor with a dangerous job, different religious beliefs, values and a sexuality her parents donāt accept, she needs to not be legally involved with Mac and Donna. If she wants to reconcile with them thatās her choice but that shouldnāt stop her from being legally safe from them and the choices theyād make on her behalf.
