So I wanted to know what kind of crystal could go in a wizard staff, right? so I googled “big crystal,” as one does, and got an Etsy ad for This

And as you all know I Am currently taking a geology class, so I am probably more emotionally invested in minerals than usual. But that is...very obviously not a natural crystal.
So I did some looking around on Etsy.

Now, these shops all seem to advertise to the “witchy”/“spiritual healing” type of person. And there are a lot of them. Crystals are a Big Thing on Etsy. And ALMOST ALL of them are obviously artificially cut into the same sort of prism with a triangular pyramid top, regardless of the actual sort of crystal it is supposed to be.
Even like, fucking, obsidian. Obsidian is volcanic glass, it doesn’t form crystals at all, it is not a crystal
I’m not throwing any shade at people who are into crystals for like witchy reasons, but it really seems like if crystals are spiritually important to you, you should know what a crystal is...right...?

it’s so frustrating (and heartbreaking) to see so many writers going on indefinite hiatus / deleting their blogs because they are not motivated to write anymore. worst of all: people would always be like ‘no why are you leaving we don’t want you to do so :(’ but they were nowhere to be seen in our notifications beforehand. the lack of support on this platform is a huge issue and it’s a shame that content consumers don’t get the hint when writers have been waving the red flag for months. please support creators by rebbloging their posts, interact with them by leaving a few tags, a comment or an ask! if you’re too shy then hit that anon button and you’re good to go. show them that their works matter and you enjoy their blog, because when the decision to leave is made, it’s already too late.

“I have no sympathy for you, Guardian. I’ll get around to resurrecting you in a moment. When Khadgar stops flailing at me.”
Me: *runs around through things, not caring that it’s hostile or an elite*
My healer friend: No! Don’t go that way! Don’t be stupid, you dumb mage!
Me: Haha frost spells, nothing can touch me.
That One Elite: Your frost powers are useless against me, mortal! Raaawr!
Me: Ahhhh help! I’m dying! Briiiiiiiiii! Briiii! *dies*
Healer: *wants to putz off and have a drink* Stupid mage.

Warcraft Plot Ideas
Plot Ideas generated from here. If you want me to come up with some, toss me an ask, but the pairings will be my choice.
You may write these if you wish. Just give me credit for the idea and a link to the story.
#1 Gonna Die But D First!
Prompts: 52, 84
Pairing: RavenTrust Summary: Set during WoD… Khadgar has been stabbed by Garona with fel poisoned daggers. He knows he has less than a day to live and so much that he wanted to do before he dies. Cordana tries to convince him to rest while the champion seeks the cure, but he knows Garona well enough that she’ll only be found if she wants to be.
So he chooses to finally try and live for himself with what little time he has left. Someone suggests to him to try and date someone, anyone even, just to prove that he can be loved. Not wanting to choose anyone that knows his plight, he sends out word that he’s available.
He gets a reply and when he has dinner with them, it’s the last person he ever expected.
#2 How to Ferment Mageroyals
Prompts: 7, 5
Pairing: RavenTrust
Summary: Llane Wrynn owns the Lion’s Pride Inn and Anduin Lothar runs the bar. But the true pride and glory of the tavern are the stills in the basement where Medivh creates his magic.
The best damn ale this side of Azeroth.
Khadgar is a florists apprentice and he has been commissioned by Llane to create a bouquet for Taria Lothar. When he arrives to deliver the arrangement for Llane, he encounters Medivh out in the taverns garden trying to choose the right herbs to add to his latest recipe.
Overhearing his one sided conversation, Khadgar mentions that Mageroyal would give the desired effect the brewer wants. Surprised that a florist knows anything about brewing, Medivh questions his validity and learns that Khadgar knows quite a bit about herbalism and brewing.
The two have a series of several conversations over the course of a month with Medivh arranging for Khadgar to deliver flowers to the Lion’s Pride just so they can talk.
Slow burn revolving around brewing ale and tea.
#3 A Convenient Inconvenience
Prompts: 52, 84
Pairing: RavenLion
Summary: Medivh is the Guardian of Azeroth. He is also the sole heir to Nielas Aran’s estate. Stormwind law also dictates that he has to be married to inherit it. Unfortunately being married to one’s job is not an acceptable alternative to actual marriage.
Anduin Lothar likes to play match maker. After all he had introduced Llane to his sister and now she is the Queen of Stormwind. His attempts to get Medivh a girl turn out either hilarious or total disasters. When nothing seems to interest Medivh, Llane suggests Anduin try his hand instead.
Anduin.exe encounters an error.
#5 Ghosts of the Past
Prompts: 81, 80
Pairing: Medivh/Orc, RavenTrust
Summary: Khadgar discovers a broken, female orc tusk among Medivh’s belongings and asks about it. What he learns is that Medivh’s heart isn’t entirely his and that a certain half-orc is of the magus’ blood. Feeling a pang of jealousy when Medivh suggests going to Draenor to retrace his steps with her, Khadgar reluctantly follows.
Its only when they find the place where she had been burned to death does he realize that Medivh may have reserved a place for her in his heart, his love for her had died with her. The ghost of Medivh’s past was not going to steal him away.
#6 Sweet Dreams are Made of Emerald
Prompts: 88, 76
Pair: RavenLionKing
Summary: King Llane and his friends go on a hunting trip in Brightwood. When a deer leads them into the Twilight Grove by accident, the trio is confronted by a green dragon and find themselves experiencing a very erotic encounter that ends with them falling asleep. When they awaken, they are back at their camp with fresh game waiting to be worked.
Neither of them know that the other had a similar dream until one of them starts talking about it. Now they’re not so sure if it was a dream or something that happened for real, leaving the three feeling awkward.
#7 Snowed In
Prompts: 74, 41
Pairing: Llane/Taria
Summary: Winter in Stormwind is usually mild, the warm ocean waters normally keep the region from freezing. But every few years, the snow does come and this year it has decided to blanket the city and Elwynn Forest in several inches of it.
Prince Llane has been courting Taria Lothar for months and has been chafing at the rules of propriety that follow. So it comes as a surprise when it is Taria that snuggles against him in the carriage while on their way to a Brightwood retreat. The conversation that follows leads to a timid first kiss between them and the Prince deciding that she will be his queen.

Please see: how to quote.
It is obvious that what I said does not equal what this person SAID I said. As you can see, the words are entirely different. They have different meanings.
Once again, it is obvious this person has never been in the military, has no friends or family in the military and knows nothing of the military other than it is clearly obvious that if one is military all they do is murder families.
Regardless of whether they are on a rescue mission, are in the engineering corps, or in communication, or are learning a valuable trade in their service - or are defending the country they live in. They do nothing at all but murder families, ladies and gentlemen. Nothing else. There is no purpose to the military services at all.
What will this person say when another 9/11 happens here? Or another Trade Center Bombing? That our military didn’t defend them or their loved ones when they are killed. But clearly - no one in the military is anything but a murderer!
Welcome to a little thing called Propaganda:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/propaganda https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spin_(propaganda)
And also jobs in the US military:
https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/finding-a-job/non-combat-military-jobs https://bestaccreditedcolleges.org/articles/jobs-in-the-military-that-dont-involve-combat.html https://www.goarmy.com/careers-and-jobs.html https://www.google.com/search?q=us+military+non+combat+jobs&oq=us+military+non+com&aqs=chrome.0.0i512j69i57j0i512j0i22i30j0i390.12433j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
It’s called RESEARCH ( merriam-webster.com/dictionary/research )
Do some. You might actually learn something and .. well. Stop appearing as though you still see White Knights and Evil Dragons instead of the real world.
"The military is a last resort for the destiute or poor!"
1) poor people are underrepresented in the military
2) how poor would someone have to be with you being ok for him taking money to murder your family? Because thats what youre suggesting here.
1) What is the wealth range for you to consider when someone is not poor? The poor aren’t just people who can barely make enough to put food on the table or is on welfare and EBT cards. A lot of poor people rent homes, work at McDonalds, or Walmart, or can’t finish college in 2-4 years. A lot of poor people have big screen tvs, playstations, a working car, and pets. A lot of poor people are young and just left the nest who are going to college or have a livable wage but can’t vacation. The thing they all have in common is they have to manage the money they have. When you can spend freely without wondering if you’ll have enough to put food on the table next week or make your payments, then you’re not poor.
2) I would accept the fact that people have the right to preemptively deal with clear and present dangers before they can harm your family and country. To ignore such threats results in events like Pearl Harbor or 9/11. But that is no excuse to go into another country because we want to like we did with Iraq.
That is why Congress was more united when Bush asked for permission to declare war on Afghanistan than they were over Iraq. Afghanistan held a threat that took over 3000 lives in a matter of hours and the Taliban refused to cooperate with us.
Iraq, however, we weren’t so certain about and Bush had to fabricate false evidence to convince Congress to declare war.
See the difference between the two conflicts? One was dealing with a real threat to our safety and the other was just a revenge war for the humiliation given to Bush Sr by Hussain.
When the conflict we are involved in is something worth fighting over, we as a nation are more willing to lay down our lives and take lives to protect our families and friends. When it’s a conflict we have no business being in, then that is when people like you should redirect your anger and put a stop to it rather than condemn the soldier being made to fight.
Be angry with the government, not the men and women who serve.
I would also like to point out that most who serve do not see conflict or the frontlines and probably won’t even pick up a gun against another person. Out of the 1.4 million currently serving, only about 140,000 are currently deployed overseas and less than that are in active conflicts. So chances are, serving the 6 years won’t see you taking a life.

@jedimasterazeroth The replies you cannot see.
@karrius - Also, blocking anyone who does not agree with you is a VERY childish thing to do. It keeps you from learning. It is cult behavior. Not once did Jedi attack you. They stated *facts*. Perhaps you don't like those facts, but they are from a military family. It is clear that you are not, nor have you ever been.
If you do not wish to educate yourself, then kindly stop posting regarding the subject. Blocking me (as I see you already have) will not stop us from making OUR replies with proper facts.
Accusations of being a terrorist are quite serious. Another friend of mine was told to kill themselves today after defending their father’s involvement in Vietnam - which was a diesel mechanic. He was not on front lines. He was shot AT because he was a support, not a soldier. Why was this person’s father vilified as a ‘child rapist’ and a murderer for being a diesel mechanic on the supply line/bridge building unit?
Why is Jedi a terrorist because they explained factual information regarding how people will see a war? You have clearly read about war, but have never had people you love involved in one.
Let me tell you about a now ex-boyfriend of mine, who was fully Norse - his patron god was Odin. He said, when he was younger, he was born for battle, for combat, to fight for justice. He enlisted to defend his home. He was a US Marine.
When he came home, he was SHATTERED. In a broken voice, he told me how he was hiding in the walls of a building where his squad took shelter, listening on a radio comm about a child they all had their guns trained on because said child was said to be COVERED in explosives. (this was, and is, a common tactic. No one wants to shoot a child, but if that child is offered sanctuary, the Taliban/al-Qaeda could destroy an entire compound by BLOWING UP THE CHILD. AND THEY DID THIS. More than once. My friend lost three comrades this way. Because THE ENEMY used CHILDREN AS WALKING BOMBS.) They waited. They watched. And then the gunfire started behind them. He was one of two survivors. The enemy shot the child - and tried to blame the US troops - because they assumed none of them lived to tell anyone the truth.
I am certain I should not know some of the other details he told me - but once a veteran starts crying and needs support... you do not turn your back on them. NO ONE deserves trauma. NO. ONE.
He was born for battle - but learned firsthand that Valhalla comes at a very nasty and very high cost these days.
Do you have a story like that of a friend, father, lover, mother, sister, brother, extended family? No? Then do not judge. If you have not walked the walk, and are not willing to, do not talk the talk.
And for anyone else who follows me?
IF you have this attitude where military is ALL BAD ALL THE TIME and that VETERANS deserve to be told to kill themselves for their service?
Unfollow me now. And never speak to me again.
