Can we please take a moment to appreciate Max in this GIF? I’m starting to think that the only reason he’s seen as “Mad” is because he’s the only person left in this movie who has a natural “what the fuck” reaction to everything. Like. This shit isn’t the norm to him. The world went crazy, he’s the only sane one left.

I recognize your criticism, but given that it’s stupid ass criticism, I’ve elected to ignore it.
i’m really side eyeing all the people making posts defending max landis and telling other fans to stop being understandably upset that good representation was killed off in such an upsetting manner (= just when we thought they were going to have their happily ever after), you guys realize that you can like a show and still criticize it’s creator right ? that it’s actually necessary to be critical of media creators choices because what they create have actual consequences irl ?
some lgbt fans are literally telling you what those consequences have been for them after seeing this episode, they feel upset and feel that the message is that lgbt people can’t have happy ending … and your choice is to defend max landis and tell them to be quiet ? that’s not a good choice
just because you think the decision to kill silas and panto made sense narratively doesn’t mean that you’re the only one who are right, people who saw themselves in the characters have the right to be upset, even if it made sense narratively and even if it turn out later that this won’t be permanent
max landis may have wanted this to have a specific message but it doesn’t mean that people watching the show are going to receive the same message he intended because we’re not the same person, that’s why being critical of media and its creator is crucial, they’re not above reproach, they can make wrong decisions and it should be pointed out so they can do better !
this show doesn’t live in a vacuum and even if “everyone can die” is a recurring theme not every death is the same, not when lgbt characters and characters of colors are systematically killed in every other shows and representation is sparse, killing those characters is going to have more impact for some of the fans and be more upsetting and they’re completely right to feel that way
and it’s not like the show have an over-abondance of lgbt characters either : there were 3 of them and two of them are dead right now (and tina is mortally wounded too) … maybe we’ll get more in the future but as of this episode that’s how much there is, that isn’t many at all or it’s only a lot in comparison to shows with 0 lgbt representation … no offence but having representation in your show isn’t automatically a gold star, if you kill off that representation then having it in the first place doesn’t mean much
anyway maybe you guys should reconsider acting like max landis (or any media creator for that matter) is above any criticism cause it’s really not an healthy mindset, and it doesn’t mean that you like something any less if you choose to criticize it or to listen to criticism about it
#oh my god#you want the characters to get special treatment just because they're lgbt#like everyone in wendimoor has died#makes 100% sense#'doesn't mean much'#fuck outta here#this isn't like when black people get killed off first and you're like 'wtf why'#dghda

Shrieking with cipollakate about the new tweet and imagine a skinny, bedraggled Bart who’s not had a kind word for as long as she can remember (way my life works, that’s the most anybody’s said to me in over five years, it’s mostly just screaming and begging) meeting a charming man with eyes like a shark who speaks softly to her with a funny, drawling voice. Who isn’t put off by the dried blood on her clothes or the headless doll that she dotes on. Who’s impressed when she tells him about killing the other bad men who tried to take her away. He asks her name and laughs when she says Bartine, calls her Bart instead, and she likes that someone cares enough to have a name just for her.
“You wanna see my knife?” she asks. “S'just a Swiss Army Knife, but someday I’m gonna get a bigger one.”
“Nothing would please me more,” he says, and she preens a little when he sees it and says she must be quite impressive, to kill so well with such a thing.
When she pulls the knife out, he lights up. “I betcha could kill with anything, couldn’t you?” he asks. His voice is soothing but his eyes are… oddly sharp. Fascinated. She doesn’t notice at the time, mesmerized by how he takes the knife and flicks it expertly between his fingers. She only recognizes it much later when she’s turning the memories over in her mind. He ruffles her hair and offers to teach her how to do the flicky thing with the knife and she’s never wanted to impress anyone this much in her short life.
She adopted Ken because he treated her like she was human. Who’s to say that he was the first one?

IF YOU NEED TO CALL 911 BUT ARE SCARED TO BECAUSE OF SOMEONE IN THE ROOM, dial and ask for a pepperoni pizza. They will ask if you know you’re calling 911. Say yes, and continue pretending you’re making an order. They’ll ask if there’s someone in the room.
You can ask how long it will take for the pizza to get to you, and they will tell you how far away a dispatcher is.
