Graceless is a pre-canon fic for the first ten chapters. It takes place before Gale's Folly, but after he loses Mystra's favor. After that it will head into in-game canon events. It opens with Eirael Frostflow, a draconic sorcerer by blood and Cleric of Mystra by vocation, who anticipates the arrival of Mystra's chosen to her convent, the Quiet Veil. In her excitement, she takes a vow of silence during daylight hours in order to prepare for Gale's arrival.

When Gale is... not what she expected, an important decision has to be made. Does she retain her vow of silence in the face of misunderstanding her Goddess? Or does she break her silence like she intended, to help Gale find the answers in the convent's scriptorium--thereby helping Gale serve Mystra better?

This is actually just a dyeing error on my part (lol) but I talked to Astarion anyway on Camp Night 1 while I was taking pictures of Gale. And then I was like, HANG ON -- this looks really good with this lighting. So anyway, here we are.
