Clearing out my WIP docs so here's a short thing of dialogue between Spider and Clone!Miles for a bigger story that I will never write.

content warning for mentions of brainwashing, Miles Quaritch in general tbh

Spider: “He doesn’t love you, you know."

Miles: “He does. He loves me. He loves us both.”

Spider: “If he loves you so much, why did he fight so hard to get me back? Why wasn’t he satisfied with just you? Why did he let the scientists pick you apart and put only the good pieces in?” 

Miles: “He got you back because we all belong together. As a family.”

Spider: “No. he got me back because he wants me. Now that I’m here, he doesn’t need you. What makes you think he won’t dispose of you once you become boring? You’re a toy. A shiny new thing for him to play with. Now that he made you, he can make a million more. You think if you get hurt, he’s gonna save you? No, it’s easier to just get a new model.” 

Miles, growing frustrated: “Shut the fuck up!”

Spider: “You’re not even real! All those memories in your brain were mine first. You didn’t experience any of that. The doctors had to inject it all into your brain. They grew you. They kept the pieces they liked and got rid of the rest!” 

Spider got his appendix taken out when he was thirteen. He still has the scar, and Miles doesn’t. 

Spider: “When he gets tired of you he will kill you. Let me go, we can get out of here and go home. Back to the Omaticaya, back to High Camp. They’ll understand what happened to you, they’ll let you stay.”
