So serious when i say we need to kill the narrative that characters have to have a Reason or like tragic backstory to be evil or just cruel bc 1) like despite the fact no one is truly born evil some people are just Like That regardless of upbringing and don't Want to get better and 2) people who grow up with and have more privilege often tend to have more capacity for cruelty
#bc they face little consequence for their actions#speaking from experience. i think like exposure to these types of people irreparably damaged something in ny brain#<- I've been witness to way too many cases like that#my aunt is a teacher in a private school and she says the privileged kids are EVIL sometimes#and they're not even scared of being like that cause their parents will make sure they won't face consequences#so yeah that checks out#reblog
